Blaine Quality Automotive is top notch in my opinion! Being a woman getting her car worked on is a huge disadvantage to start with. Most of us havent got a clue beyond the basics. They took the time to explain what needed to be done and why, and they didnt find 10 other things that needed fixing too, like most OTHER mechanics/ Auto services usually do. They see if they can bleed you dry for a bunch of BS you dont need! How do I know this? I actually set them up to see if they would try to screw me. My car had been diagnosed by another auto shop already, so I knew what was wrong. Took it to Blaine Quality, said I didnt have a clue, its just making this bad noise and the service engine now light was on. They came up with the SAME diagnosis as the other place! Now heres the kicker, it cost $300 LESS than the other place quoted me. WOW, were not talking about a few bucks here, thats a lot of dough. Trust is very important these days, and THESE GUYS I TRUST! Theyve worked on my car a few times since, and Ive never felt cheated, or taken advantage of. Im grateful to have found them! I WOULD refer them to anyone in a heartbeat! They may have a couple of bad reviews here, but always remember, you cant please ALL the people ALL the time..... Nobodys perfect...

Worked here for 2 years derrell is not good people let me start by saying he could never pay me on time literally not 1 paycheck was on time also Ive went over a month without a single dollar in my pocket he always said Ill get you next week Ill get you next week , so I was late on my bills just about every week was also doing the same thing to my buddy that worked there Darrel says he stold money but Darrel couldnt pay up so he took it wasnt a cent over what the 3 paychecks Darrell owed him . And since Ive quit because i couldnt pay my bills he refuses to pay me my last paycheck that he owes me and pay for my last day worked . He said he would pay me once I returned my uniforms Wich I did and now he says he will file a restraining order against me if I come back to the shop . The only good thing he has going for him is the mechanic Tom he has working for him ever wonder why hes always got someone new working for him cause all he cares about is himself nobody wants to work hard all week to see a percentage of there check .

After they gave us a quote we told them we had a strict budget and would need to know if there would be any additional costs before they were incurred. The owner called us up and said it would cost $X more to replace the belts (which is a standard thing to replace and should have been put on the original PRINTED estimate). We said OK, but this is ALL the money we would have for this. He then called the day AFTER he said it would be done and said he was having trouble removing a part, implying he had just started. In the end, he charged us about twice the original printed estimate, more than 25% higher than the funds we said were all we had, then threatened to take us to court because it took us an additional business day to get the funds and exchange the illegal (headlight was out & we got pulled over) loaner for our car. They didnt tell us about the increased amount until after our car was done which is illegal in MN. See MN Truth in Repairs on the MN Attorney Generals website.

We needed some snow tires and wheels put on our daughters car. What a delight to work with Derrell at Blaine Quality Automotive. He was prompt, courteous and very reasonable. I am happy to know I have found a place I can go to for automotive needs. After our wheels were on, they found another problem that needed to be addressed. We knew about this and my husband just had not gotten around to that fix yet. There was no high pressure sale from Derrell. He just said if the husband couldnt get to it hed be happy to help with the repair if we needed it. I would DEFINITELY recommend Blaine Quality Automotive and I have no doubt we will be taking our cars there in the future!

Was in desperate need of getting my car fixed fast and cheap! Ok nothing is cheap on cars any more, but I was looking for the best service and price. After reading the poor reviews on this place (knowing there is ALWAYS two sides to every story) I still decided to give them a try. They could fix my car today....they would bring me home and pick me up when it was done! Just got my car back and it runs GREAT...He even gave me a discount and if that wasnt good enough they WASHED it too!!! I will be bringing it back in for some other work I need done next week!!!! THANK YOU GUYS!!!!!

After a long night of trying to diagnose the engine problem myself, I finally called BQA to look at it. I havent brought a vehicle into a shop in a long time and I am very glad I came here. They diagnosed a bad water pump and gave me their recommendation for repair, had the parts on hand and had the van ready to be picked up on the same day. The cost came in a bit LESS than quoted which is always nice. My family has been using BQA since they opened their doors and I was glad to return... insomuch as I can be glad about anything regarding a bad water pump. :-)

The building isnt much to look at, but like hole-in-the-wall restaurants, these are often the best places. The owner is open and honest, and not looking to fix non-existent problems. After having bad experiences at big-name tire shops its good to know the techs working on my car are qualified and werent working at a fast-food restaurant the week before. My car drives like its new again and I am confident in the repairs.

Although I hate bringing in my vehicles for repairs (its a necessary evil), Im very happy with my experiences with Blaine Quality. They have always been very friendly and upfront with their price quotes and never trying to sell you on unneeded repairs. They also explained to me driving habits I could incorporate to possibly prevent future repairs.

Blaine Quality Automotive has likely just become my "go to" in automotive repair. Derrell is easy to work with and offers fair pricing. My repair took an additional two hours or so but I was still charged the five hours of labor as originally quoted. Yes, this is the law, but I dont think all shops follow it. Highly recommend!

Brought my Porsche Cayenne here to replace the front upper and lower control arms. Daryl was great to work with...ended up replacing my tires there also. Seemed like a real person rather than most of the European mechanics I have dealt with. Will definitely go back!

My wife is "K" below. The owner just called me and argued for about half an hour trying to get me to remove the negative review. He doesnt seem to understand that if you give your word you have to keep it, and if you dont, then potential customers should know.
