If i could give less then one star i would. I never give ratings unless they are an experience that will cause me to want to go there with a mechanic that i will request, or that i will never go again. My friend went there for an Uber inspection, and was failed for back break pads and rotors. Me working at shops previously figured i would just look because the car was new and a old Police Interceptor. When i pulled the tires off everything was fine, so my friend called and ultimately was able to bring his car in and get it looked at and "be explained and shown what was wrong". When we arrived, the gentleman that did the inspection was working and was instantly infuriated that we even said anything and questioned anything. When they put the car up on the lift, he then continued to try and say it was bad when you could clearly see it was still passing to specs. Even when the other employee looked he said it had passed. When that happened he continued to tell us that he could have failed the inspection for multiple other things but was doing us a favor, like another shop wouldnt have later failed it. He continued to threaten us and tell us to "meet him in north" and he was going to find us on the freeway. The young gentleman that ended up checking again for us was very professional and awesome about everything. Overall though the guy who did the first inspection simply tried to scam someone, and it didnt work so he resorted to being a tough guy and instigating a fight. I would avoid this shop at all cost because its not even the first encounter with this shop. Someone also said there was an oil reservoir on my other friends 2007 GMC. JOKE!

Just had my oil changed here not even an hour ago. I had my misgivings, as I purchased the Groupon for this location before checking the reviews. However, they were far better than I had hoped. - I called 20 minutes before my appointment to tell them I would be 10 minutes late, they said it wouldnt be a problem (why they choose to do highway re-painting during rush hour is far, far beyond me...). - I parked and ran in, and left some fragile work materials in the car. I had assumed I would need to pull the car in, and could grab them then. The guy said it wasnt an issue, and let me follow the fellow out to retrieve the materials while he pulled the car in. - I mentioned that my car was "chugging," and then popped over to the Rainbow down the strip. He had them run a diagnostic on the engine, told me exactly what the problem was, and about how much it would cost to fix, *for free* (yes, this sounds lame, but other places try and charge for that, or dont go into detail, or give a number that they "cant be held to, depends on the car," etc.). I told him I had a mechanic for that, he said no problem. - No issue with the Groupon, worked as advertised. - The waiting area has a big screen TV, a childrens play area near the sitting area, and is cleaner than *any* other shop Ive had my oil done at. Also, big, comfy leather couch and chair. Nuff said. - The guy who was manning the desk was polite, knowledgeable, and gladly answered my questions with enthusiasm. All around, that was actually the most pleasant oil change I have had. Glad I got the Groupon.

A couple weeks ago i stopped in at meineke not expecting much but boy was i wrong the advisor behind the counter is what made this stop absolutely AMAZING he was short and to the point he only recommended what was needed i had stopped at another shop prior to coming here and was told I needed 3-4000 dollars worth of work and being i was from out of town i was a bit worried that I would not make it back home that was until i made one laat phone call and asked if i could have an appointment to have my car looked at and i explained my situation to an advisor by the name of Ben and he asked when would i like to have it looked at i said soon as possible he asked when could I be there because he would get it looked at as soon as i got there ben got my car looked at brought me back to my car explained all of my issues to me and stated none of them were safety issues and said they could wait till i was able to afford them The advisor Ben was a combat veteran also a master tech and knew more about cars than most techs would ever know if you want a shop where you dont have to wonder if you are being ripped or not use meineke Columbia Heights the most honest and knowledgeable advisor i have ever seen if hes paid like many of the people i know in yhis industry he is WAY UNDER PAID BUT STILL cares more about his customers than his own pocket book so i will be telling everyone i know in the Minnesota area to use this shop

Groupon gets approximately 50% of the profit you pay, any merchant using their service. Case in point, Groupon charged me $29, the bill reflects $17 worth of charges from Meineke after Coupon is redeemed. To offset the cost these Meineke service writers want to up-sell. 1) On day one, I am told, because its 4 wheel drive, I will have to have the back tires aligned as well, this is an additional $20 fee. I agreed because it was still less than the $109 I would have paid Calson Toyota. I was then told that I wouldnt be charged the twenty dollars, because the mechanic couldnt actually do an alignment on the back wheels, because a bolt was seized, which stopped him from doing the work. I drive the car home, its still pulling to the left. 2) So I return 2 days later; I am told, the second time I come back, I have "tire separation," however, the tires are about a year old, and $170 Michelin tires are expensive for a reason: wrong answer. He provides me with a print out that shows the front wheels are almost perfectly balanced. I drive the car, still pulling to the left. Hum. This is a family owned shop, that has been here for many years, and everyone I spoke with was extremely helpful, so why 1-star? My car is old, so I realize it isnt the easiest automobile to service, but if I come to you for work, I expect it to get done, and if you cant do it--which was the case in here--dont charge me.

Reason why for 3 star. I thought when I went to them about a month in a half ago that everything would be okay and ready to go. Mention that is was the place that I went to get everything change. Oil, filter, struts the whole 9. I did drive it down to TX honestly. I went to a meineke in Tx to check my breaks. They tell me everything was good except one thing. I need to get rid of my car. Because of all the rust. 3 of my stocks was blown out. There was only one good one and that was the original one that was busted. There was so much rusted under there car it was ridiculous. The frame look like it was going to fall apart. I kinda wish that they would of told me all of that before I drove it down to TX. But its okay. They did a good job on my breaks and oil and filter. Just not good at diagnosing and struts was busted after getting it change the first time.
