I had been bringing my Jeep here for the past 2 years. Its an older vehicle but I am the single owner and have always maintained it well. I was very frank with the staff that I needed to prioritize the to-do list, as I would be thrilled to get just one more year out of the vehicle. Made an appointment for periodic rough running/idling. To make a long story short, I ended up spending $450, replacing a water pump and leaving with the problem I came in for. Now I am well aware that she may very well have multiple problems at the same time, but I was explicit about what I needed from them and this vehicle. When, upon driving home from the shop, the light came on and the vibration started, I immediately called and spoke to both Joe and Kathy but was told my only option was to return for a diagnostic to the tune of $89. Not impressed and wont be returning, especially since it wasnt the first time Ive been less than satisfied there.

Went to this place talked to the old guy with white hair. I told him exactly what was wrong he continued to insinuate that I was incorrect and that he had to run a $90.00 diagnostic check first. After thinking about it I was like screw it I need to get my car looked at all it needed was the tires deflated and pumped to the exact level because the tire service monitoring light kept coming on. 15 minutes later I called and said don’t touch my car I no longer want you to work on it. All of a sudden I go back to get my car now there is a NEW problem it says the "Oil Low" funny how this all of a sudden is happening after I told them not to work on my car. I would NEVER EVER go to this place again. On another occasion I went the and they tried to sell me a credit card honestly why would I need a credit card to finance the work you guys are doing thats pathetic.

Weve been there a number of times for oil changes, a brake job, tires and alignment. Watch out for Warranty plans added on to your bill (at an additional cost) without being disclosed. We had one added on to our bill for a new set of tires (about 30 bucks), which they refunded when we went back in and asked about it. Beware also of the "lifetime" services, like alignment. They seem like a good deal, but when you go back in for your next "free" alignment, suddenly the shop schedule is a lot busier and you have to get an appointment for a few days later. And of course, theres a bunch of other "necessary" repairs. The customer service ranges from really good to really bad depending on who you get. Id avoid the trouble and go to a real mechanic - youll get more consistency and less billing hassles, even if you sacrafice a little convenience.

The most horrible customer service EVER! I called around lunch time to se if they could change my four tires, the guy the picked up the phone said bring it in,. so I droped my car off at 2:45pm, called at 5:30p and they said still working on getting it in. called back at 6:30p but this time I am sitting in front of the store looking at my car in the same spot I left it in, and the guy saids we are pulling it in now I sat there watching and waiting. I decided to leave and go get something to eat, I came back at 8:23pm and my car was still in the same spot not touched and they close at 9pm, now you tell me how that for good customer service? I will never do busness with them again and I will tell everyone I know about this horrible servces and the service I did not receive

Do not walk. RUN! This place pricing is not fair at all! I went to oriles to get an O2 sensor priced cheapest was 58 most expensive option was 158. I went to firestone to price out my fix. They wanted 158 for the cheapest option. I told them that isnt right and the price they sell it for. He said they have a delivery fee markup which it why it was so much and said it was already in the system at the set price. Complete lie, prior to going i had talked with the parts store and said they charge a 2% delivery fee. That mean they marked it up about 275% after that. Do not come here. Repair rite is where i went after. Fair price on parts, labor cost is cheaper and even diagnosing the issue is cheap. Again DO NOT COME HERE!

This is the only location in the Twin Cities I will take any of my vehicles! This store is under new management with new staff since August - and I couldnt be happier that I found this place when I did. The shop owner is knowledgeable, friendly, and straightforward - he will not sell you anything you dont need! He was very helpful in explaining ABSOLUTELY everything to me about my car when it is in the shop. Their prices are very reasonable and they have great coupon offers on their website. Extremely happy with service from Firestone and WILL NOT go anywhere else. Trust me, this is a place you want to use!

Under new management!!!!! Forget the old reviews on this location. Joe D is the best shop manager Firestone has to offer. I have followed him to three different stores over the last five years. He is honest and trustworthy, he will tell what needs to be done and when it isnt about the up sell with him. If you dont need it today he will tell you, and explain what to watch for so you and your family stay safe. I couldnt recommend Joe any more highly. He does his best to make good of situations that are not fun like when that check engine light comes on and money is tight. Thank you, Joe!

If I could, I would give it 0 stars. I went in to get a routine oil change and after finishing that up, they suggested I spend upwards of $500 to fix completely unneeded things. One thing they mentioned was something with my wiper fluid cord which was a small charge, so I let them just do it. Jokes on me because the exact thing they "fixed" snapped in half the next week. When I called to let them know what happened they were not at all willing to look at it again without charging me even more for THEIR mistake. Such poor customer service and work, I will NEVER go back to a firestone.

If they mess up let them know. They will make it right. Will go here again. Update 10/07/13 Had clunking in my brakes that were serviced. Went to another place and they stated that the last place to service the brakes (Firestone) had ground down the brake pads (metal part) because they were the incorrect ones. Thus they fit even though they were wrong kind. Im now dumping 179.00 into new pads even though they are technically fine. The shop Im going to also stated they used the wrong kind of lubricant which is running down into the pads now. Dont go to Firestone, I beg you...

For years, I went to the downtown Minneapolis location. They were the best. But, I no longer work downtown - so, I looked for the closest location to my home and it was the Southdale location. Absolutely terrible service. Ive left there with underinflated tires and loose lug nuts Not to mention their failure to review their computer to see that I just flushed my radiator the previous visit. So, I now go to the Bloomington Lyndale Ave location. Its not quite as good as downtown, but its 4 stars instead of 1.
