Dishonest. I went for an oil change and had them check out the breaks because I thought I might have heard that squeak that comes when your pads get low. They called me during the oil change to say that all 4 of my break pads were in need of replacement and that I should do the rotors too because they were "really bad." They quoted the breaks and pads for the front and back at $650!!!! Premium parts or not, I dont have that kind of cash! So I told the guy I would handle it myself and he said, "Well, they will be grinding any day now so dont wait." I took my car home and let it sit for a few days until I could have a friend (mechanic at a Chrysler dealership... super legitimate mechanic and friend) help me get it done and check out some issues with another car I own. My friend takes off the first wheel and says, "you got about 50% of your pad left! Your rotors look fine! A little rust but no big deal. You have at least 10,000 miles left!" We went around to all the other wheels just to make sure and it was the same with all of them. So, at the recommendation of Coon Rapids Service, I stopped driving my car (huge hassle to coordinate with wife), bought all the pads and rotors for $180, and didnt need to do any of it. BUT THAT IS NOT ALL! My friend then tells me that my sway bar links are broken on both sides! Not a big deal but it was an obvious find for my friend that was missed by the service station. Will never go there again!

I had some minor shaking and pulling to the right on my car, I went to the dealership to get some manufacturer recall repairs done hoping that one of the five repairs would fix the issue. It didn’t. The dealership recommended a $1,200 repair. I had just met Spike at Coon Rapids Auto at a Biz to Biz Networking meeting, so I decided to try their FREE diagnosis. They determined that the repair that the dealership was suggesting was not necessary and would not fix the issue. They did find the cause of the shaking and made some other maintenance recommendations. They also fixed my check engine light in the FREE diag. process. I waited for a few weeks, then decided to have them fix the minor shaking. Day1 - They gave me a car to use while my car was being worked on. They installed the part on the right side and noticed that the part was defective after test driving. Day 2 – They ordered another part for the right side and installed it, they noticed that it was still shaking a little bit. Day 3 – After some testing, they determined that the part on the left side needed to be replaced as well. They went ahead and replaced the left side part at no additional cost. The car works as good as new! Thanks Coon Rapids Auto!

They make every effort to get you the best price without going for "El Cheapo", or "Gold Plated". They also dont try and scam you with BS you dont need. Friendly atmosphere, clean with good coffee. Theyll work with you to make a service time that works with your schedule and theirs . We will definitely go there for future service.

brought car in with a few problems. expecting to only get one thing done. and to be with out a car for a day or two. they were able to get it done the same day of inspection. two of the issues werent as major as i thought, so was able to get multiple problems fixed for budget. still have an issue or two that needs to be taken care of but will absolutely be back. the service was unbelievable courteous and friendly. i wont be going anywhere else.
