On Thanksgiving in 2009 a spark plug blew out of my beloved 2000 Civic. I was growing increasingly frustrated with the dealership as this was going on the third (and by far the worst!) spark plug problem in the last year and the third towing bill I was now going to have to pay. I had spent a good part of that Thanksgiving day researching my car problem on the internet so I knew going in this could either be an affordable fix or a $2,000+ repair job. It was terrifying taking my car to a new place in such a dire situation but after reading all the great reviews for D&D, I just had to trust my instinct and try somewhere else. Fast forward to 2013, the affordable fix worked, my car has had NO spark plug problems since D&D worked on it and I will be forever indebted to them for fixing my car correctly (the first time-just like they say!) and cost-effectively! Its now time for a spark plug check and basic maintenance work. My anxiety level used to be off the charts when I would bring my car in for repair to the dealer. What I love about D&D is they dont try and upsell-if they tell me to fix something, its because it needs to be done. Erik & his team are not only super friendly -- they also know their stuff. If youre looking for a shop that knows how to fix cars well and whom you can trust, then look no further. I am not big on writing online reviews and I only do it when something is amazing. These guys are!

Everyone knows how annoying it is to have an unexpected repair bill, however my experience was the exception. I had just dropped $300.00 on breaks and an oil change at my normal mechanics and 24 hours later, my car wont start and Im stuck at work, 25 miles from home. I didn’t know what the problem was despite my best efforts. We decided on D & D because the diagnostic was $100 less then the dealer we were thinking of. This was late on a Friday. I checked in on Saturday and they were busy and hadn’t checked on my car but 30 min later Garrett calls and gives me the news that my repair was going to be $466.00 with the diagnostic. I was upset (Not at Garrett). He explained what he needed to do and offered to even stay late to fix it. I tried to negotiate and he was firm that he really couldnt. I finally gave in and told him to fix the car. Here are some things that blew me away. He had already ordered the parts just in case I wanted to do it and was willing to deal with the return if I said no. He also called back after the repair to tell me he had rotated my tires at no cost....AFTER THEY WERE CLOSED! And waited for me to get there so I could pick up my car. If I lived anywhere near D & D, I wouldt bring my car to any other mechanic. I do work close so all of my standard oil and fluid changes will be done by them from now on. If I could give them 10 stars I would. #Impressed #gohere

D&D was recommended by a friend for some mechanical wear on my truck. The owner at the Texatonka location was quick to diagnose the problems and truthfully admitted one limitation of the shops ability to repair it, they were just too busy at that time. He recommended I drive my truck to the other D&D on Lake Street where they had an opening in the schedule. Will, at the Lake Street location, was equally as knowledgeable, honest and neighborly. During another service for our other vehicle, they physically invited me into their garage to show and explain a problem with the front suspension and an engine-oil leak. He prioritized the repairs by urgency and honestly explained what issues he thought could wait. These are ethical shops. I trust the management at both locations and drive the distance for all of my familys auto needs from oil changes to mechanical re-builds. For what its worth on Google, I DO recommend D&D.

I realize that this review already sounds very biased, but seriously the guys at D&D are great. They take the time to explain what is going on and provide accurate estimates for the costs to do the work. The price is reasonable and the work is quality. I have had a headlight on a VW replaced ( I could not figure out how to do it myself), used car checked before I bought it, and misc vehicle repairs done at D&D and will continue to use and recommend them.

Ive been to quite a few auto shops over the past few months trying to get rid of a driveline vibration in my 2011 Honda Pilot. These guys were very thorough, and instead of playing the "try this part" game they figured out that a past shop had balanced my tires incorrectly. The Honda drives smooth as glass now. Props to D and D for the thorough and affordable service. This is now my go to shop and Im sure I will be a customer for years to come.

Been a customer of these guys for 3+yrs now. They are the most honest mechanics Ive ever worked with. Always tell me straight up how it is with my cars and what the best course of action is. They save me hundreds. Im pretty sure I will be using them for years to come. They always go the extra mile to help you out. I remember them loaning me a battery charger so I could go jump my car and bring it into the shop, no charge!

I took in my classic car. It had carb problems. They told me it would be more costly to rebuild. I went and bought a new one from NAPA and they installed it for me. Very knowledgeable, nice and professional. Didnt feel ripped of like other places. I recommend them.

Friendly, honors quoted prices, quality work. I was changing my alternator, needed impact wrench to get the pulley off. Stopped down and they took the pulley off for free. I gave him a $10 just for helping me out.

These guys are some of the best around. Very easy going. Focused purely on doing the right thing which is just to fix the car. No bull - very direct and honest. You really cant go wrong with these guys.

Not mad about service (because i havent had any yet) Just frustrated that Google maps said open on Saturdays when I limped my Jeep in to find that is not true. Will edit in the future.

I wouldnt take my cars anywhere else. Been going to the two D & D locations for 15 years and will continue. Great staff, always honest. Their diagnostics are always spot-on.
