Im a healthy 26 year old that has never had skin issues, but over the last year or so I noticed a sore/wound type of spot on the cartilage of my ear that never healed fully. I had trouble getting in to see an actual doctor (MD) of dermatology, so thought seeing one of the PA ats Skin Speaks would suffice. Went to the Woodbury location and the first red flag was that they were playing rap music in the reception area. Saw the PA for about 2 minutes, in which time she examined and stated that she didnt know what it was but that we should shave off a sample of skin to biopsy to a) rule out cancer and b) determine what course of action we should take. I had red flags because I have no cancer history in my family and thought shaving the skin was a bit extreme, so I left and said Id make a future appointment. Long story short, I thankfully got an appointment with an MD at a nearby Dermatology office and the doctor knew exactly what it was within seconds of examining. It was nothing more than an inflammation of the cartilage that was coming up through the skin and required a quick steroid injection. My ear looks perfect and Im so glad I decided to skip the recommendation of the PA at Skin Speaks! Who knows if the shaved section wouldve ever healed properly had I gone through with it. Now I have a full-sized bill from Skin Speaks to pay for, which they refuse to allow me to dispute. Nothing against Physicians Assistants but sometimes you just need to go to the real doctors to get proper care...

I write very few reviews but I need to share the wonderful work of Emily Turgeon. She is the medical aesthetician, permanent makeup artist, and certified laser technician. I meet Emily two years ago to have some IPL laser on my face to remove age spots and sun skin damage. Emily is incredible. She explained the procedure and I was incredibly impressed with my results. I have continued with Emily for general skin care and creams. This spring I met with Emily to have a consultation on permanent eyeliner and during that consultation she spent time with me and explained that for the money I wanted to spend perhaps I should have my eyebrows tattooed as a first step. I was reluctant but felt so assured by Emilys professional and caring personality. I have since had my eyebrows done by Emily and I am so incredibly happy with my results. Her expertice and professionalism is amazing and people comment on how great I look great but no one can place a finger on what is different. I will be going back to Emily to have my permanent eyeliner done in a few months. She spent time with me and gave me examples of what the finished product will look like. If you are considering having any laser work, rejuvination facial work or permanent make up you must meet Emily.

I am 30 years and have never had skin problems.... until now. I was referred to Shae at the Edina Skin Speaks. FINALLY someone who guided me in the right direction. I have had numerous facials at other clinics, being guided in the wrong direction, buying hundreds of dollars in products that were not meant for my skin type, it was extremely frustrating. When I got to Skin Speaks, it was a breath of fresh air. Shae made me feel so comfortable and cozy. She gave me an AMAZING facial and explained what she was doing as we went along. She set me up with some amazing products and put me on a routine plane to come back. Its been 3 months since I started visiting Skin Speaks and I could not be more happy with my skin! What a night and day difference and I finally have my confidence back thanks to Shae! I would recommend Skin Speaks and especially Shae L to anyone looking for some expert advice! Thank you, Shae!

I was prompted to make an appointment after co-workers at my office continued to ask me if I was upset or tired (Even though I was feeling happy and rested). It was making me feel insecure that I looked angry and rundown. So I made an appointment at various med spas and clinics to find out what my options were. I felt most comfortable after meeting Shae from Skin Speaks. She listened to me and let me decide what was most important to me. Unlike other places I had visited, I felt like Skin Speaks had the most non-surgical options, and did the best job describing their differences. I have an appointment in two weeks for botox in my scowl lines and Fraxel resurfacing laser under the eyes for my tired looking eyes. I am very excited to get these treatments done and feel very confident having Shae at Skin Speaks do my treatments after consulting with multiple places.

Doc Karni or however you spell it. Straight up urged with me about how he cant do anything to help poor people because he is not working for the government and how he started and built everything on his own. Keep in mind I have a decent job(not that it matters) but imagine if someone less fortunate than myself or him didnt have such job there was nothing he would do to help the less fortunate. After he said that I told him he was mean basically inconsiderate because poor people with skin problem come to his business to seek his help yet he wouldnt do anything to help. Oh and not to mention he told me not to come back and I should Google government dermatologist. While he sits there and argued with me his assistant (forgot her name) was nudging his foot to stop yet he continues. So unprofessional and inconsiderate. I wouldnt recommend this place.

This is an excellent spa/office. I initially went in for a crowdcut my friend had bought for me. I went to the Woodbury location and had no information except the email on my phone (the gifted Crowdcut) The receptionist was beyond helpful as I could not reach my friend. The RN who did the injections was professional and pain free. Based on this experience I made an appointment at the Burnsville location for a Vitilize peel, a peel which I get often. From the moment I entered the spa, I was treated with respect and professionalism. Shay was amazing, and did an extra service (extractions) and did not charge me. I have found my new med spa. This place is amazing!! Thank you for a truly rare experience as I find customer service non-existent now days. Tracey

I have been coming to this place for 3 years for Fraxel treatments. I chose this place for their expertise, length of experience and availability. The staff here really are top notch and make a difference here. Due to their professionalism, I finished my initial series of Fraxel treatments and continued seeing regular Fraxel treatments, seeing great results for acne scarring and skin texture. Shae is very experienced and amazingly helpful for Fraxel. Queenie will remember you by name and is one of the friendliest people you will meet-- she also recognizes long term patients like me and will share the latest treatments with you candidly. I cant speak enough about the staff- I can see myself coming here for a long time!

I had an IPL treatment about a month ago, after being extremely tired of the red splotchiness on my cheeks and forehead. I also had a lot of broken capillaries around my nose and chin, which I was hoping would be gone with several treatments but actually went away with the first one. In the past i have had photofacials with other kinds of lasers, but the one they have at Skin Speaks was definitely the nicest and fastest. Pain factor was minimal, and i was warm and a little red for the rest of the day, but the next morning i was back to normal. My skin was a little blotchy as I headled, but with makeup i could easily cover it up. Now my skin tone is much improved and all of the little capillaries are GONE!
