I had a 90 minute massage and couldn’t have been more disappointed. I went into the massage very optimistic; I had never been to JB Cavour before and upon arrival was instantly impressed by the overall atmosphere of the salon. Unfortunately, that optimism was short lived. The massage therapist took me back for my appointment and the only question she asked was when my last massage was. I explained that my husband had surprised me with a massage while on vacation a week prior; however, I was disappointed because although the massage was relaxing, the massage therapist lacked technique. I went on to say that I prefer a more deep tissue massage and that I would like her to give special attention to my neck and shoulders since I get chronic headaches. As soon as she heard my request, she got a deer in the headlights look to her and left the room, no further questions asked. Throughout the 90 minute massage she applied only light pressure, essentially just rubbing her hands over my body rather than any form of actual massage. I asked her for more pressure, but after a few requests with no change, gave up. I also asked her to focus more on my neck, but again, she couldn’t deviate from what I imagine was her normal routine. Halfway through, boredom sank in and I felt like I was wasting my time being there. I love getting massages and get them frequently- not once had I ever felt bored. I don’t know if the salon brought on a random therapist to deal with the demand of a Groupon or if the massage therapist was just tired (I received my massage on the last day of the deal) but I expected way more, especially from an Aveda salon.

Aveda Pure Privilege? Not Here. To preface this review, I will be clear that I did not receive or pay for any service, or even step foot in the building. It just went bad right away... LOL. Im a big fan of Aveda products. I earn a lot of Pure Privilege points, and opted for a "Spa Experience Certificate" good for $75 at an Aveda salon of my choosing. Since I have never been to an Aveda salon, I took to the internet to find one. JB Cavour... nearby, seemed to have good reviews; why not? This is where it went sour. The online booking system is essentially worthless. Its easy enough to operate, it just doesnt work; AT ALL. I got it to finally take an appointment only to get an immediate e-mail stating that my appointment was canceled. Ugh. So on to the phone call: When I stated I was redeeming an Aveda Pure Privilege Spa Certificate; "we are not familiar with that program". Then I was put on hold for a LOOONG time. Upon return, a new person (with a very snotty attitude) took the call and was willing to keep the appointment, but could not guarantee that the certificate would be accepted. Wow. So I would receive the service, but they just may decide not take the certificate... not really the deal I was looking for. Hard to make appointments, snotty attitudes, and cash or credit cards only. It seems that this is a smaller salon with a small repeat customer base. They dont seem to like new situations or new customers. Since I was duped (thankfully didnt lose anything but time) I felt I should warn others here. Good luck!

I scheduled an appointment for an overall color. My hair was red and I showed my stylist a photo of the color I wanted which was a light brown and after the appointment I also purchased a deep condition treatment for $40. After I left, I went about my day and in the sun my hair looked nothing like the hair color I had shown the stylist, but yet was a dark brown almost black. I called and talked to the receptionist about the problem and she told me to wait a couple of days and wash it and then see if the color lightens up. Five days later.... it lightened just a tad. I call back and as Im speaking to the stylist who did my hair, she tells me theres two things I could do. A) strip my hair color back to red or b) add foils into my hair to highlight it. I had to check my schedule and when I called back 15 minutes later, the receptionist informs me my stylist had left. I then proceed to ask if it would be complimentary because Im unsatisfied with my hair color. I COULDVE BOUGHT A BOX DYE AND COLORED MY HAIR BLACK. And no, it would not be complimentary. Im completely disappointed with this salon because not only did I show a photo of what color I wanted, but I would have to pay another $120 to fix their mistake! Also, wanting to return the deep conditioner I never touched nor used and there are no refunds but I could exchange the item for another. This salon does not care about customer service and is just looking to make money.

This is not Justin, its Sarah. Appears my son has taken over my google account lol. I had an appointment with Cameron today for my first balayage. This is my 2nd time using this salon. Ive been extremely happy both times. But Cameron, wow oh wow! I LOVE my hair! Im not a vain person and getting my hair done is a new treat for me (Ive always gone to walk in places for trims only). But I cannot stop looking at my hair in the mirror! Cameron was awesome! She really took the time to make sure that I had colors that I liked and made recommendations since I have no idea what Im doing. The shampoo/scalp massage was amazing (as it was last time too). She always made sure that I was comfortable and asked if I needed anything. And when I left there, I felt pretty. Which is a nice change for this Tomboy :) Thank you Cameron!!!!

I have been going to JB Cavour for over two years now. I have people stop me and comment about the "sharpness" of my hair cut every time after I have been in. The stylists are friendly and knowledgeable on the latest trends. What I love about the Salon how easy to is to get to, the free parking, and the huge selection of Aveda product. Oh, and the amazing shampoos and scalp message are also the part that I love. I have recommended JB Cavour to a number of coworkers and friends. Just a week ago, a friends said, "I need to get back in there and have JB Cavour fix the horrible cut that I got from that walk in place." JB Cavour is truly a CUT above the rest. Thank you!!

JB Cavour is a very cute salon with friendly front desk staff. I have had a couple appointments with the stylist Cameron and left very satisfied with my cut and color. I typically make appointments with the stylist EJ and she has been creating excellent looks for me for a few years. EJ is very attentive to what I am looking for with my color and cut. She provides helpful ideas to making my daily hair routine a success at home. I love to make changes with my color and EJ is very up to date with current trends to keep me leaving the salon with new looks and always getting many compliments. I have loved her for every style and color, so would recommend her for any look!
