They lost my parents $6,000 custom drapes and could care less... I was at my parents house for Christmas yesterday and was in our game room where we used to have beautiful floor to ceiling custom drapes. I asked my mom where they were and she said, "dont even get me started"... She said that over a year ago she brought them to Nevens to be cleaned and that they offered to store them over the winter, but then when she went to pick them up they gave her the run around about them moving things and it being boxed up in a truck that was hard to get to. Weeks go by and she keeps calling and no one can find them... Im talking about massive drapes. The box or bag they would have used to put them in would have to have been the size of a large sofa. Something like that doesnt go missing... Something that large is something that everyone in the store knows whats inside and cant wait to get picked up... My mom asked and asked until they just stopped caring or telling her they were still looking... They have done nothing to make it right, no offer to replace them, just saying sorry we dont know where they are... My mother looked into what she could legally do and found out that they declared bankruptcy and was told recouping any funds would be extremely difficult and not worth the time and money by the time an attorney got involved. -- They didnt even refund the cost to clean them! My mother has since stopped going all together, she feels defeated, cheated, lied to. Something this large, this expensive doesnt just go missing. My guess is that our families curtains are hanging at their owners cabin somewhere, and whoever helped steal them or move them just doesnt care... There are lots of places to get your stuff cleaned. I hope this places continues to loose money and someday some other company with better values comes in and swoops them up... Waldorf Nevens, you can still make this right. Either return them or look at the original paperwork to see how big they were and replace them. Doing nothing is B.S.

Do not use Waldorf Nevens! I had been a loyal customer for 3 years and everything went fine until Waldorf Nevens ripped my best suit during the cleaning process. I submitted a claim for the replacement cost of $750. Initially the owner contacted me & seemed cooperative, until he learned I would be standing behind my claim & asking that they replace the suit. After dragging his feet for 3 months and refusing to return my calls, I capitulated and accepted their offer of 70% of the value of the jacket alone -- obviously not much help, since I wont be able to buy a jacket to match the skirt, and this amount hardly covers a fraction of the cost of a comparable suit. I try to support local business, but will never use Waldorf Nevens again, and am sharing my experience with everyone I can. The true test of a business is how it handles difficult situations -- Waldorf Nevens gets a whopping "F" in my book on this front and I wont be going back. I guess I know just how little they value their customers.

I never write reviews and am shocked by the below mentioned review. My husband have been going here every week for the last 5 years and have never had any problems. They are friendly, helpful and I have never had any problems. Our dry-cleaning always looks great and they are very conscientious. West Bloomington customer

I got a new white shirt back with axel grease on the collar. It was ordered Heavy starch and had no starch that I could tell. 2 shirts laundered cost $6.23, not the cheapest place in town. If I pay a premium price, I expect premium service, not a greased shirt with No starch.
