The stylist who took my sons name was awesome she even knew i was a stylist. The stylist who was cutting my sons hair sucked! Bigger woman, 40s? Never caught her name.. I had been growing his hair out for his senior pictures for his grad invites since school started so i could cut it into a style. As a stylist myself. I have been super busy at work and not the energy or time to do it myself. I thought i would just take him in. She started with the fade. He has thick hair. It kept grabbing his hair and pulling. (Smaller sections can prevent this). Once that was completed she started cutting in the parameter before finishing her guide of outside.. I stopped and paid. I now have to fix the uneven hair cut. Grow it back out because it isnt even close to what i wanted or told her!! Then she says to me.. You dont lile it when someone comes in and tells you how to do your job.. Me:If im not doing what they want..Someone better speak up..probably why im so busy however. Thanks fantastic sams! For taking my money and making me work!

The woman who had been cutting my hair did a awesome job!!! my hair is so healthy and groomed professionally!!!! I was by her side physically and spiritually from the time she started beauty school and she is so good!!!! Fantastic Sams hired her before she was officially Licensed!!! Im so proud of her she is a mother and a very good one!!!! and works and drives very long hours so come on people give these barbers a break!!!! thier on thier feet all day and thier doing the best they can!!!! so quit complaining about it!!!! also the manager was very nice to me as well!!!! I live 4 hours away but when I come to the cities I suggest the maplewood location ,Thank You!!!

Oh, my gosh! Fantastic Sams in Maplewood is great. Elizabeth has been cutting my hair for seven years, and people ALWAYS ask me after an appointment where I get my hair done. Im a very no-fuss, low maintenance type of person, and she always works with my hairs natural tendencies, whether shes cutting it short or managing a below-the-chin length. Shes so versatile and respectful of my lifestyle, I just put my head in her able hands. Shes taught me how to take care of my hair in between cuts, and its never looked better - winter or summer. My son also gets all his haircuts here.

What a refreshing experience I had here. First, let me tell you some of the things Fantastic Sams had compared to other places. (1) A warm greeting (2) Knowledgeable and friendly staff (3) Reasonably priced and definitely worth the extra buck or two for what you get (4) Employees that interact with you and treat you like an individual (5) Cut, wash, blow dry, styled all included (6) The cut was EXACTLY what I wanted, looked great, took her time, and made sure to ask me questions along the way. I will definitely be coming back and will be highly recommended to all !!

So I finally decided to go get a haircut after over 8 years of doing it myself. Boy was I happy with the end result! My stylist was very welcoming and reassuring that she would take care of me. I left feeling confident about my new cut, and was quickly reassured by everyone that I made the right choice, my son also got a hair cut by one of the older ladies there and unfortunately his experience was not as good as mine. Either way, its as they say; whats the difference between a good haircut and a bad one? A week.

Always a long wait no matter what time I arrive. I have been to this location 12 times if not more. Also, the wait is always longer than what they say it will be. I have been told that it would be 25 minutes and it was 1 hour and 5 minutes before I was even seated for my haircut. As for the haircuts, they are fine. I started going to the Little Canada location and have far more friendly service and almost no wait time. I have given this location far too many chances.

First time experiences Fantastic Sams Hair Salons in Maplewood was great. Im currently from California and visiting the family for holidays, decided to get a haircut. After viewing the positive comment I visited the salon. My barber was a young white gal cant recall her fully name (first letter was T). But she did a great job in trimming and providing a good conversation that lasted the entire haircut. It was great! and recommend others.

After my online research i went for Sam salon , i am so satisfied with the services and the way Suzane cut my hair, she is one of the best hair stylist i have ever met.All staff is welcoming and ambience is also very nice.I would give 5 star to this. Just left the location off County Road D after being told they would be ready for me in 5 minutes and still no haircut 35 minutes later. My last haircut there was terrible and the service seems to be getting worse. It seems like the first stop for stylists straight out of school. Will not be going back.

I highly recommend Elena! She colored my hair and picked the PERFECT shade even when I couldnt explain what it was I was looking for!! I will definitely go back to her! All the other ladies were wonderful as well :)

Worst haircut I ever received, that includes my mom with a bowl. I had to fix my own hair because I decided to go on a Sunday right before a business trip, wont do that again. Seriously bad.
