We shopped around at different places in the area before settling down with this shop and have now been a regular customer for many years. Our main criteria has been to find a place that is trustworthy, reasonably priced, and able to finish work in a timely fashion. The folks at this Meineke location have excelled in all these areas. In addition, the staff has been very professional, friendly and helpful. There is not the "salesmen" pressure that we have found at some other places. They always offer different options for work being done, typically advising in the direction that will cost the least. When I tell them it looks like its time to have this or that done on the vehicle, they check their records and more often than not tell me I wont need that kind of work done for several thousand more miles. The prices are better or similar to most shops of this kind; they typically add on a discount whether I remember to bring coupons or not. Some minor maintenance items I have done myself and have also had Meineke perform the same job just so I could get a feel for price comparison. Many times I saved money having them do it instead of myself since they can get lower prices for parts and often havent charged extra for labor on the small items. In terms of scheduling, they can typically fit me in the same day or the next. With appointments, they have attended to our vehicles right away and have had a quick turn-around. Without an appointment, they have given priority to those who have appointments and may have to put off looking at our vehicle for a few hours, but that seems very reasonable.

From now on Ill skip this place. I brought my car in for an inspection and the service writer told me that I needed a $700.00 brake job. When I talked to the guy that actually did the inspection he gave me a completely different story telling me that only my rear pads needed to be replaced but the front pads were still ok. When I asked why I was told that I needed rotors all around he said he had no idea, being as my rear pads were still not worn enough to have caused any damage to my rotors. And my front pads werent even worn enough to need to be replaced. This service writer also told me that there were 3 different options for each part. However only gave me a quote for the most expensive parts. The local shop I should have gone to in the first place just quoted me for the same work with the same parts for $500 less. And like I said earlier, that would be with replacing parts that dont even need to be done. Ill be out the door with the local shop for around $100.

I have been bringing my car to Keith and Jamie at Meineke for years. I first brought my car there because it was close to my home and was convenient, but now that I live in St. Paul I am willing to drive across town to get the EXCEPTIONAL service that I get when I come here. It is so worth the drive! Keith and Jamie are such kind, honest and fair mechanics (which feels like a rare commodity these days!!). They never try to nickel and dime me and I truly feel I can trust them. Something Ive really appreciated is that they will advise me about whether I need to have something repaired or if it can wait (and Im never pressured!) Ive brought my vehicle to other auto shops and have felt totally taken advantage of but that is SO not the case here. I tell all my friends and family to come to Meineke and you should too! :)

I was hesitant to go to Meineke because I have had bad experiences in the past with large chain auto shops like Midas and Tires Plus, but I had a great experience with the Maplewood Meineke. Ive heard so many stories of these places taking advantage of customers by offering unnecessary services. I was able to get my truck in within 24 hours which helped a lot considering I had no other vehicle to use. Keith is the owner and the manager of this location and he helped me directly. He explained everything that was going to be done and throughout the whole process continued to make sure that I was comfortable with all the work that was to be done. At no point did Keith ever try to sell me on some BS service I didnt need. I will definitely be back to this Meineke again!

After reading the reviews about Meineke, I brought our 2002 Trailblazer in because of a gas smell that was present when we used our A/C. Also the A/C knob would only work on the highest setting. After initial inspection. Ed called to tell me that the blower motor resister on the A/C was burned out and needed to be replaced. The gas smell was caused due to some loose intake clamps and a PVC valve breather tube that was not tightened. Once everything was tightened they could no longer smell any fumes. Ed was very helpful in communicating about what was wrong before any work was completed. In the end, I was only charged for the new blower motor resister and the labor. I was thrilled with their professionalism and work. Thanks Meineke Car Care Center #897

I was very impressed with the service here. I came in because of a groupon that I bought for an oil change and inspection, and Im planning on making this my go-to place. The threads on my oil plug had been worn down to the point where they were almost flat. The last place I went to get my oil changed should have a least mentioned this to me. My oil had been slowly leaking since my last change because of this and I hadnt noticed because my street parking spot changes daily. Meineke took me back and showed me the pan, plug and worn down threads before they took the car down from the stand. They replaced the plug with a new one which thankfully still threaded in. Their service was also very friendly. I highly recommend this auto repair shop.

I have used this shop many times for many different car issues and I highly recommend this shop! Keith and Jamie are highly knowledgeable and make sure to explain everything clearly and I feel taken care of when I call them. I know they are not going to take advantage of my business and I feel that I can trust them and their service. They know what they are doing and are always available to take a look at the problem and usually get my car in very quickly. They do quality service and do it in a timely manner. I have also had them give me a ride to my job when I have dropped my car off to get fixed and felt comfortable and safe knowing my car was in good hands! Highly recommended and will be going to them for all of my car needs!

I love going to this Meineke! I have been brining both of my cars there on a consistent basis for almost 8 years have never had any issues. Jamie, the GM, has been there the entire time and has always treated me fairly. The prices have always been good. Many times I walk across the Caribou to get coffee and read - when they are done, they call me and I walk across the parking lot to get my car. They also do a shuttle service. The White Bear Lake YMCA is less than a mile away. A lot of times, they can drop me off at the Y, then I work out, and when my car is ready, they pick me up. Cant get much better than this. In short - great place for your car.
