Came in for a simple, one color gel manicure with decent expectations considering most of the reviews I read were positive; however, I left very disappointed. The polish was applied unevenly. There was a gritty piece of who-knows-what that got mixed in with the polish and instead of wiping it away and fixing the layer, the manicurist examined it briefly then simply painted over it - consequently, I had a very noticible, unattractive bump in the middle of my thumb nail. I HAD a very noticible bump, and poorly done manicure because two hours after I left, the polish started popping off. Gel stays on my nails for a solid 3 weeks before I notice any wear. My husband and I are newlywed college students (not wealthy by any means), but we both work hard and he likes to treat me on the occasions we can afford it. Mahalo Nails was money absolutely wasted.

Wa;ked in at 5:00pm on Sunday (they close at 6pm) and asked for a full set of acrylic. I was greeted cheerfully and work began on my nails within 10min of me getting there, despite about 4 other women already having work done in the salon. My nail technician was friendly and very supportive. Normally, when you ask a nail technician if they would recommend a pointed shape or a round shape on your nails, they say "whatever you want" but he gave honest input - I went with pointed! At the end, my nails look amazing. Like my hands look like an Instagram photo! I accidentally touched a nail before it was dry, and it smudged. The lady who fixed it was so thorough and very NOT annoyed at all! She was so kind. Highly recommend this place!

The men are very very good at what they do. Im talking Pinterest and other normalcy unobtainable Instagram photos good. Some Pinterest worthy nails will be a bit pricey since they call nails with multiple designs (I.e. Striped, gems, flowers, gold foil) "custom nails" so theyre custom priced. My manicure with custom design and acrylic fill was $75 and SO worth it. None of my gems fell off for an entire month. And theyre always so gentle with my hands. When he took old acrylics off to pit new ones on instead of ripping them off like other salons do he soaked them in acetone and it was pain free 100%. This is my go to nail salon from now on and forever.

My sister and I had a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. We waited for 15-20 minutes and then when we got two Gel Sets they didnt even ask how long we wanted them OR the shape!!!! They just did whatever they wanted!! And when we told them we didnt want it like that they argued with us saying it looks better the way it was!!!! We payed them for NOTHING! That was a couple days ago and now my sisters nails chipped and 3 of mine fell off already!!!! DO NOT EVER GO HERE!!! Me and my sister want a refund or free nails or we not going here no more!!! And neither are our friends!

WORST. PEDICURE. EVER. Nice staff, but did not cut dead skin after soak, did NO callous removal at all. Totally useless. Also only did 30 seconds of massage (if u could even call it that) on each foot/calf. Sorry but BARE MINIMUM is 5 minutes per leg. Even paint job sucked, layers of polish too thin, got polish on my cuticles too. Frankly, I would like a 100% refund, I but did not want to humiliate the girls in front of other customers. Unbelievably awful pedicure though. TOTAL waste of money. TOTAL WASTE. Grrrrr.

I am so thrilled to have found Mahalo. It is The Best Nail Salon I have ever visited. It I the cleanest Salam I have ever visited, which is wonderful. Their work is also excellent - I see Tiffany. Everyone is very pleasant. I left my credit card there & they tracked me down immediately - through the hair Salam they knew I had just visited. I will never go anywhere else. Ive read other reviews but my own experience with this place has been nothing but great. Ive been coming almost since they opened every few weeks or so. Sometimes theres a small wait even with an appt but honestly theres so many color options to peruse through I dont usually mind. Ive always had great service and loved my nails. They always are super appreciate and accommodating. Ive recommended friends and theyve also liked it. An all around good place to go.

This place is fabulous!!! Literally top 5 best nail place Ive been too in the country! This place combines an extremely clean environment with a top notch complete spa mail services. Their nail work is on point, no polish on edges, perfect filing/shaping. I have not one complaint but a tons to rave about. If your looking for 5 star experience coupled with being surrounded by maybe the nicest staff ever, LOOK NO FURTHER than Mahalo Nails

Im so sad to be moving and have to find a new salon after Mahalo. Super sweet staff, clean, classy, comfortable salon with reasonable prices. Went there once or twice a month for a year and always had a great experience. If you are in Uptown, this is your place. (Also, I recommend the pearl pedicure!) PS. If you want to go after 5:30pm, it might be best to make an appt, otherwise youll probably have to wait or come back.

They dont respect your time if theyre unfamiliar with you youre better off walking in. Every time I make an appointment I end up waiting 15-20 minutes before I can be serviced. If you have things to do or on a time schedule look for other options. However its clean cant complain about that but not respecting ones time is a MAJOR let down especially since they charge more than other places in the area

Terrible manicure. Went to get a simple manicure before going out for my birthday. Polish wasnt applied but up to the nail bed so it already looked grown out when leaving the salon. Topcoat wasnt applied evenly and was super bubbly within a half hour of leaving. It was completely chipped and peeled off in a matter of 2 days.... super unhappy. BUT clean salon and nice atmosphere.

Just went here for the first time today, and I am in love! Tran Nguyen was amazing, and I will definitely go back to her. Not only did she do a fabulous job, she was unbelievably kind too. Only one other time have I had a nail technician engage me in conversation, and Tran did so comfortably. Thanks Tran, see you in a couple of weeks! :)

This place is great!!! My gel polishes never last an entire week when I have them done at other places...here, they last forever. I need to have a new one because my nails have grown out so much, not because its lifting or peeling. Staff is great, salon is super clean. Highly recommended.

This place is great! Fun Tropical Decor! Fair prices! Very clean!!!! I got a mani/pedi from Doris, and she was amazing. Its nice to have an actual conversation with my nail tech for a change. No real language barrier here. Pretty sure Ive found my new nail place. Mahalo!
