Thought Id only use my storage unit for a few months and it ended up being about seven. Never checked on my stuff after I dropped it off, and when I arrived seven months later everything was perfect - just as I left it. Facilities are super clean, very automated (motion sensor security doors to storage "wings" and motion sensor lights along corridors), tons of push carts for hauling stuff, climate-controlled, and carpeted (at least everywhere I went, including in my unit). Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful and no gimmicks about ending your term - walk in, tell them your move-out date, fill out a basic form and youre set. Plus you can use their locks for free. Great experience and worth the extra few dollars a month versus the basic outdoor storage facilities many of us have seen.

Could not be happier with my choice to store my belongings at The Lock Up in Minneapolis!! The whole process of moving in was great! Made a reservation online, spoke with Rodger on the phone and he answered all of my questions completely - came the next day to sign all paperwork/have a tour. Facility was clean, secure and staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Rented the free truck to move all of my stuff - easy to reserve and seemed available during the week at any time I needed it. Before I got there to pick it up, Rodger had it warmed up for me and helped me adjust my mirrors! Moving in was easy - in-door car pull-up was amazing during the winter and they had ample moving carts. Facility is dry, clean and I feel safe leaving my things there! Would recommend to anyone!

This facility is great and I would highly recommend it to any students at the University of Minnesota who need a place for short term storage between apartments, houses, etc. The access to the building is very easy and you can access until 10pm. Also, the building itself is very clean inside and out. I was impressed by the condition of the inside (walls, elevators, etc.) as of course there are plenty of people moving things in and out daily. I would suggest going online to make a reservation as there are some good deals to be had. Overall, very impressed and will definitely look for this company for future storage needs. As a note, I only utilized this facility for a short term storage need, so I cannot comment on the long term, but I would not hesitate to try it out.

The Lock Up Self Storage in NE MPLS was home to our belongings for a year and a half. From the time that everything went into storage, my husband and I felt completely comfortable and confident that our things were safe and secure from theft, the elements, and insects or rodents. The building was always clean and well lit, the staff so helpful and friendly, and the location was incredibly convenient for us. The professional movers we had hired were even blown away, saying this was the best self storage building they had ever moved someones belongings into. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend The Lock Up Storage to anyone. We would store our belongings here again in a heart beat.

Pros: The facility is extremely clean and temperature controlled, you get to use their truck when you move in and their flat dollies anytime, and the staff is extremely friendly and will bend over backwards for you. Con: I wish there was a way to lock in your rate when you join – about halfway through my stay I got a notice that my rate was going up. I was out of state, so its not like I could just decline the increase and move my stuff to another facility. Overall it was a very good experience - thanks!

Rented a small unit for roughly 7 months. It worked out great. I used their free moving truck to help with moving my items it seemed like it was an old uhaul so didnt have the low entry into the box to help ease with moving. It was free and I wasnt moving that much stuff though so I really couldnt complain it definitely did the job. The space itself was great always clean and felt very secure. The pull in garage area worked nicely for a MN winter move. Staff was friendly. No complaints.

This place is very good. Access code allows you to park in heated garage for loading and unloading. There are plenty of dollies. It is a new building so it is clean, and I dont have to worry about insects or rodents. The front desk was very helpful. I was busy with work and couldnt make their office hours after I had emptied my locker. They understood and made sure I was still prorated. Convenience off of I-35 a big plus as well. Internet deal worked very well for me.

The Lock Up Self Storage seems to have some of the nicest self storage facilities in the country. I have been a fan for a long time and rented units in both Chicago and Minneapolis. Both facilities were clean, secure and best of all temperature controlled. Sometimes they have some pretty decent discount rates. If you are storing stuff that would be better off in a cool dry place, you should check out the Lock Ups facilities. The facility in Minneapolis is pretty modern too.

Great friendly people! The units we rented were in excellent shape and moving items in/out was a breeze. I moved my stuff out and came back two weeks later to close my account, a day after my monthly billing date. The agent dropped the single day of charge since I wasnt moving anything that day even though coming in a day late was on me. If I need to rent another storage unit sometime, Im coming back here!

The building was clean and well-lit. I often visited after office hours, and felt safe. The staff is friendly and prompt--and extra thank you to Paula for her great customer service! Initially I thought that the unit was a bit expensive, but in hind-sight it is a fair price for the climate control and added security. I would rent a storage unit with them again.

By far the cleanest storage facility Ive ever been in. Two security checkpoints before you can get to your locker always made me feel good. The peace of mind knowing that my personal belongings are safe, priceless! The staff is amazing and you can go there later in the evening. I recommend this facility for all needs and give it 5 stars and an A+ rating.

We had such a great experience storing our belongings as we went through the process of selling our house and moving. We loved how clean and safe the St Anthony location was and the wonderful customer service and great management. Once we found a new house, we were able to give our notice to vacate and loved that the contracts are month to month!

My experience at Lock Up Storage was amazing this morning. Lori greeted me with a welcoming smile and a genuine hello. The facility was clean and prices are reasonable. Lori answered all of my questions and was very helpful. I would recommend this facility to anyone I know who is need of a safe and secure place to store their personal items.

Moira Kuehn was very patient through-out the entire process of my renting a storage unit, including helping me back truck into where I could unload, replacing the unit lock for a better functioning 1, although it was a rainy day she brought sunshine into my rental experience!
