Ive had my car there twice and without further experience I can at least rate them as very good. The first time it was a fairly simple problem, windshield washers failed and needed a new hoses and fittings. They fixed it for a really cheap price with new parts and all. Cant remember the exact amount, but it was about half what another garage Ive been loyal to for years charged me for a less complete job on the same problem a couple years ago. The second time I thought I had a cooling reservoir leak, but the leak was actually coming from the FWD transaxle and I needed the axle replaced. That was at rather low cost - plaudits - but they advised me that I needed my rear struts replaced, which I chose to do. It ended up being a rather expensive repair bill, about $850+. While it was in the shop they apparently dinged the passenger side front brake backer plate and it began rubbing on the brake disk making an awful noise. I brought it back and they recognized the problem right away, put it on the hoist and bent it back (its just a tinny piece of metal that keeps dirt off the brake disk) and I was out of the there in 15 minutes with no charge. I had problems with the car several times since then and theyve been great for me each time and very reasonable. Right now Im waiting on a fuel system problem which I need them to fix and hoping for the best.

great service, are people true to there word, the first time i took my jeep into this place they inspected it, it had a rattling noise near the front end of the car, turned out to be the front drive shaft, took them a while to grind it off due to all the rust, very trust worthy and worked just fine after i got rid of that car i got an eclipse i took to a mitsubishi auto shop, everything worked fine, went for a headlight change and had my breaks bled, it all happened and worked, tried to turn on my ac, it turns out it was leaking the refrigerant, and i kinda left it since it means nothing much. after i sold my eclipse i got a ford f150, there was a problem with the front end being jumpy and buckling, my dad thought it was the spark plugs, the spark plug boots or the timing chain, turns out it was the alternator. After it was fixed, i drove it the next day, works brand new, they are very professional at what they do and i will be doing most of my business here. They charge fair prices, and dont lie about the problems, they test drive them after it is fixed to ensure the problem is solved, now i can drive my f150 on a highway without the buckling and can drive in AWD. best people and will keep doing business. jake and nick are cool guys as well

I almost hate to give this review because its like giving away a best-kept secret. But I have to give them credit - they are GOOD mechanics and more importantly GOOD guys. They will never be short of business because they are honest and meet the customers needs. If you got an old vehicle and you dont want to sink money into it, they will tell you where you can get by. That is the difference between them and any other shop Ive run into. The other shops will tell you need to replace everything touching a component in trouble. But a lot of times its just not necessary - if you did that youd still have an old vehicle worth no more to an insurance company. Do me a favor and dont go here - it will keep them more available for me :-).

With kids and all we have multiple vehicles that have been serviced at North Saint Paul Automotive. These guys are not only honest but they are VERY fair with prices. They will be honest enough to tell you what NEEDS to be done and what can wait. They explain everything in detail that the average Joe can understand with what is going wrong with your car. We will NEVER go any place else, and we thank you guys so much for all you have done for our family. Highly Recommended!

Great place to get what you need done with a great price. Fuel pump replaced with no issues. Good service and honest as well. Will let you know what the problem is and will not push any excessive repairs on you. Hate to say it but you do not see this anymore in the automotive industry. Would recommend to anyone.

They are honest, fair priced and accommodated my schedule. The spark plugs in my model, tend to break when removing them (stupid design by Ford). They were able to remove them without any problems, and didnt break any, while coming in under budget. I wouldnt trust anyone else with my cars.

GREAT service and fair pricing. Its very difficult to find skilled automotive technicians and decent pricing in the same facility. North Saint Paul Auto is one of the rare great places in the Twin Cities to get work done on your vehicle.

Jake is one of the most honest guys in the business, and one of the most liked mechanics in North St. Paul. Nick is a close second.
