We moved into a home located in Springfield. The mail carrier left a new customer card which we completed and returned to the mailbox. It asks for you to list the names that will receive mail at the address and where you would like your parcels left if they are too large for the box. We listed our names. It is just my roommate and myself. We checked the box that says leave parcels at the front door. It wasnt too long after that before the mail carrier(s) started messing up. Our mailbox is in a row with other neighbors mailboxes. It is surrounded by a brick enclosure that has cubby holes. I did not want my parcels left in one of the cubby holes because of possible theft or damage from rain. The mail carrier left my parcel in the cubby hole even though I checked the box for parcels to be left at my front door. My home is directly in front of the row of boxes and only twenty feet from them. The carrier was just too lazy to get out and bring the parcel to my front door. We have also had the same piece of first class mail that is not ours delivered to our address four times in a row! It is for another name and does not say "or current resident". I keep putting it back in the mailbox with a note saying that the name does not go at our address. I remind them of our two names that receive mail at our address and that no other names receive mail here. I could see another name being delivered once, but four times is just plain ridiculous! I have also noticed that some of the lids on the row of mailboxes would fall down after the mail carrier serviced them. They are all newer boxes. I inspected the boxes and found that the mail carrier was not closing the lids all the way after they delivered mail to them. They stay shut if they are closed completely. My lid is usually left 1/4 inch open. I have asked the mail carrier to please take the extra second to close the lids completely, but so far they havent complied with my request. I finally decided enough was enough and called the Post Office to speak about these incidents. I spoke to the supervisor. He said he would talk to mail carrier(s) about it. He also informed me that the mail carrier will leave parcels in a cubby hole if a mailbox has one. I told him that I completed the new customer card and checked the box to leave the parcels at my front door. He said it did not matter and that they would leave them there anyway. He obviously should not be in management as he knows nothing about customer service. He is just as incompetent as our mail carrier.

Like others, I wish that I could give less than one star. In the seven years that I have owned my house, this PO has "lost" three checks totaling almost $10,000; no one tried to cash the checks, and they were not returned to the senders. I had to refile or resubmit the paperwork for each check and did receive the money, but months after I should have received it. In addition, I never received a credit card that was mailed to me. No one tried to use the card and it was not returned to the company. These are BIG issues, but in addition, I have not received other mail such as thank you cards from my grandchildren. I have no idea what has been mailed to me from others that I never received. In that seven years, someone has answered my phone call at the PO ONE time. ONE time. That was for the last misplaced check and it was two-three months ago. Today, I received a form in my mailbox for "Possible Misdelivered Mail" along with the note that the person at the PO had taken about my call. It said that I "kept talking on the phone" and that "according to customer," three misplaced checks in seven years was "still too often." Darn right I kept talking! And lets see the person who took the call have almost $10,000 misplaced and see if it were not too much in seven years--not to mention the credit card and other mail. And note--I called two/three months ago and the deliverer is just now trying to do something about this. Giving the note to me was extremely unprofessional as it was not intended for my eyes. I call the 1-800 number, again, but I do not see any resolution to this issue.

The lady who brings the mail is nice enough, but the service is terrible. I swear there are days they dont even come by? Ive had packages being tracked by UPS informing me that a package I have ordered has been delivered to their location, but will continue to sit there days at a time before finally being brought to our mailbox. Only on one occasion has something Ive ordered been delivered properly and on time. What should be less than a week process takes nearly two because of their incompetence. Oh, and their phone line is always busy so you can never contact them. Pretty terrible overall in my opinion.

My mail goes through here I guess? Even though I live on the other side of town and there is a post office less than a mile from my home. There are two post offices closer, so this makes no sense. I call their main number and get fax machine sounds in my headset such a headache. There is no access to this location via public transport, the nearest functioning stop is a quarter of a mile away and I am disabled. I had to beg them to please bring me my stuff because it is so remote and there is no way to get there unless you own a car or pay 25 bucks for a taxi. Still dont have my stuff.

i wish i could give less then a 1 star. For the last couple months i have been fighting with the post office to get my mail. Their mail carrier said i moved and left no address so they put that in their computer. All my packages have been sent back to the sender costing me more money to try and have it shipped a second time. Along with all my mail being sent back saying moved with no forwarding address. This place is a joke. I was told it was taking care of in may and now it is june and still been fighting with them for the last week.

Ordered multiple packages that have come up "Delivered" on tracking status, but have never actually been delivered. Have also had issues getting into speaking with a representative, and when you do everyone acts clueless. Not to mention horrible business hours, so most packages get delivered around the same time the business closes, so if theres an issues you have to wait until the next day. not to mention they are closed on sunday. A government facility observing sunday...wheres the separation of church and state?

I have been calling the Post Office on Bennett St. since Friday, Oct. 7th and all you get is a busy signal!! Do they leave their phone off the hook or what? Im on the 800 for post office to get to them and I have been on hold for 25 mins now! This is very very POOR Customer Service. I sent a package over a week ago and my daughter still has not received it. Tracking shows its just bouncing from zip code to zip code all over Springfield for 3 days now!!! REALLY????? Wish you could give it 0 stars!!
