The owner acts very friendly- like a father figure almost, and the minute you question him (whether you dont understand pricing or the car issue) he defends every word and doesnt listen to the costumer. One other employee that I dealt with was the same way. The owner promised me a tow truck "with in minutes" to tow me to his station and hed dropped the charges if I got my work done with him. I agreed, however the tow truck came 45 minutes later, as I sat in my car (outside temp: 100*). I knew it sounded too good to be true; the charges were still dropped as mentioned before. I explaind to the owner what I thought may be wrong with my car because I was having previous issues, just so he wouldnt have to spend hours trying to find something. I explained I wasnt 100% sure and to please let me know if it was something else. It was in fact something else, I agreed to having him fix it (car was undriveable, no other choice). In the stress of everything I realized it cost more than I could afford that day. I told him Id come back the next day to pay/pick up my car. The store claims to offer financing but none was offered to me, I would have taken it. I called the owner the next morning to ask what the break down was of the total cost because I forgot and he got very angry with me, claiming I was questioning his store. All I wanted to do was call a few other shops to make sure I was paying the right amount, I wasnt going to take my car and not pay, I just didnt have time to research the issue when it happened. The owner went on to lecture me about how he bet I would bring in 40 pages from the internet on different prices; how I should find out why Outback steaks cost $16.99 and why the Bellagio can charge $200; he told me to search for plane tickets 30 days out then check back 3 days out and figure out why the price went up. All of this actually made me think he was screwing me on prices. I apologized because clearly it was offensive to him that "me", the consumer who has the right to compare prices, actually asked for the individual prices. He also got mad because he thought I was calling him a liar as I thought one thing was wrong with my car yet it was something else. I clearly re-explained what I typed above. I told him I didnt mean to strike a chord and upset him; Id be by later that day to pick up my car and he hung up on me. Now, the prices were right, Im new to Nevada and I called places I used in the past because I knew the employees, I felt itd be a good comparison. So I have no complaints about the price for parts however I was charged $95 just for someone to look at my car. Most shops charge around $70. I was at his mercy, my car broke down 20+ miles from my house, I had to go somewhere locally. In all, I would never go back to this place. The owner is the kind of person who is super friendly until you (the customer) speak up. Horrible customer service. If he would have been nice to me when I called back, Id probably kept going back even to get my oil changed. If I like a company I stick with them, no matter the distance.

Thomas Bergman owns this place and he is an angry rabid barnyard dog. I had repairs done there for $1200, which turns out to be questionable, because the engine light was on. I was pressured into deciding fast because according to him the parts had to be ordered by 3 or he couldnt get them until the next week. Not so strangely, he told me this at 2:50. He promised me on his marine honor that he guaranteed his work for a year. Shortly after I left, the engine started the same noises. It took me a few months to get back there as it is not close to my residence at all and its not easy to get to for me. I parked the car unless I really needed to go somewhere until I could get it back there. I took it somewhere else and they ran a diagnostic and it indicated it was the same issues. Unfortunately the receipt was stolen when my car was broken into so I didnt have it but I did have the credit card receipt that clearly said, Huskers Automotive and the amount paid. He went off on me that he doesnt keep receipts and he sends them every month... or six months... or whatever... to Utah to a storage unit, He told me the light could be on for either 100 reasons or 1000 reasons or 2000 reasons... or it could be any one of 2500 parts or 1500 parts.... this is the crazy tirade I was subjected to at this place. He cant run a computer because cars hit the power box on the street. Is that relevant for anyone? He kept shouting that he was trying to help when he made no move to help at all... he just shouted and ranted about his personal life and that he didnt want to work for free and blah blah blah. His mechanic came out and remembered exactly what was done but still Ole Tom would not stop foaming at the mouth. The mechanic told him to stand down and back off and shut up to no result but that Tom accused him of feeling free to give away money. I finally got his face out of mine and my car and left. Shortly thereafter he calls me and leaves a voice mail that he found the receipt after all and would diagnose the problem if I brought it back. OK. Sounds reasonable? I should be subjected to going back to another escalated abuse session? He was out to lunch when I arrived and no one else could "write me up" so I waited over 30 minutes and Tom shows up already escalated and proceeds to attack me for over 30 more minutes. This is a warning... if you want to be abused then bring your car here for service. This guy has major personal problems and, in my opinion, may have addiction issues that supersede basic logic. Hes the worst kind of skank businessman in my opinion.

Huskers Automotive Is Not An Honest Mechanic I had a really bad experience at Huskers Automotive. The Owner is rude and a crook. They advertised free Diagnostic testing. I paid $1,100 dollars cash to change my Distributor, and my computer. When they fixed my car the it was running really poor and was very dangerous to drive. I called him and asked if he could fix my car again and he said he wouldnt fix it, and to take him to court. He told me that he Diagnosed it as no start. This shop overcharged me for parts I didnt need and also cut my Airbag wires. My cruise control didnt work after they cut my Airbag wires. I looked on my floor and saw yellow electrical connectors cut. I looked under my hood and read that if you cut the yellow wires Serious Injury or Fire can occur. They used the rotor that I bought and left in my car worth $18.99. I asked the Owner where my Distributor Rotor went, and he yelled at his Mechanic. The Distributor that they charged me twice the amount for had my rotor in it. They charged me around $400 dollars for a part that only cost $220 dollars. The computer wouldve cost me $300 to have it re-manufactured, and they charged me around $500 dollars. My Distributor was missing a bolt to hold it on to the motor, and missing a bolt holding the Distributor Cap on. My Computer was also missing a bolt to hold it down. I would not bring my car to Huskers. I was at an Auto parts store and heard other customers talking about how Huskers disconnected their Vacuum hose to make it run worse. No one should have to go through the Pain and Suffering that I have gone through. Im not happy with the service I received from Huskers Automotive. Huskers Automotive Should Be Shut Down. Im going to call Channel 13 News and report this shop and so should everyone else that has suffered from Huskers Automotive. Huskers Automotive put my life in Danger by letting me drive out of the shop with my car running so poorly. I would not recommend Huskers to Anyone. Im so Disappointed, and still suffering from the Damage that Huskers Automotive has done. I hope someone reads this and learns from my mistake. Dont Trust Huskers Automotive. I wish I wouldve read the bad reviews before I took my car here.
