Update 8/22/2015: I have still not been reimbursed for a dispute I had with them over 2 years ago, despite spending ~$1200.00, even after repeated contact and filing a complaint through the Better Business Bureau. Worst experience ever. Context: I paid them ~$1200 to have my air conditioning unit fixed. It broke less than 18 hours later, due to an improperly installed, broken gasket. Now, they wont work with me to reimburse my money. They tell me the repair is out-of-warranty because of something they never informed me of, so I have to eat the cost of the repair. Additionally, my engine rattles when I start the car because the new compressor I purchased from them was installed improperly (stripped screw). The rattling caused further damage to my engine, which I had to have repaired separately. Repeated calls, messages, and emails to customer service have failed, and their corporate office representative, Timothy Harphant, does not seem to care what the situation is -- he merely takes a strict, hardline no-refunds policy. I have been threatened with legal action if I proceed to contact them as a means of avoiding negotiation for reimbursement. The only solution they offered would cost me 2 - 3 times more money than Ive already spent, just for them to reimburse me the cost of the compressor: specifically, they told me to get a 3rd party company to remove the compressor, so that I could ship it back to them for a small amount of money back. I would have to eat the costs of their failed labor, as well as shipping and handling, and restocking fees, etc. I would also have to have the same repair done all over again by a different company and hope that they actually know what theyre doing. Im sorry, but these people are freaking crooks man!

Scam artists, I would not accuse a business of this if it werent true. They are in the business of conning people out of hundreds of dollars. I caught them before they could completely rip me off and when I did raise suspicion the manager said "maam if you stop here, we will give you a full refund". So I took the refund but they broke my Air Conditioning system, wanting to charge me to repair it. It worked when I took it in for their AC Service, to get it a tune up, make sure it was functioning to the best of its ability. Now it doesnt work at all. Shame on them because I have 3 kids and I dont have hundreds of dollars to fix the AC and weve been driving in our family van with no AC all summer. Id also like to add, after the initial AC "tune up" my check engine light came on in their parking lot and they came out a "fixed it"...since then the engine light has flashed on and off, I do not know whats wrong with it, another problem they caused and I havent had the money to fix. This is a 2006 Town and Country minivan which I bought 3 months ago and had a full inspection done on it, it had NO PROBLEMS before I took it to Brake Masters.

My mothers car would not start at Del Taco. Being disabled, she could only walk across the street to Brake Masters for help. They jump started the car so they could take it to their shop. They told her the battery cable was corroded and needed to be replaced. She had them replace it and it ended up costing her one hundered dollars. They replaced the cable with a cheaper one then what was origanally on the car and way over charged her. They also charged her sixty five dollars for labor. Come to find out the battery cable was fine, just needed cleaning, and the battery was the problem. So I walked over to Wal Mart, bought a battery and installed it in the parking lot. Whatever you do, do not ever take your vehicle to these rip-off artists. They are definatly not honest people. About two weeks later after I filled a complaint with their corporate office the district manager looked at my moms vehicle and refunded her thirty three dollars and apolagized. A little to late for my taste because this never should have happeded in the first place.

Went there today based on a recommendation; when I mentioned the reviews, I was told there was a new manager (Mike Brown) and I wouldnt be disappointed. I have to admit; I was very impressed. The work was started right away; when a problem with the rotors was found, it was reviewed with me, and I was taken out to the bay to see the problem first hand. We decided it could wait until a subsequent weekday (since it would involve several hours). I can count on one hand the number of times that a garage owner has explained a problem in detail and showed it to me. Mike and his assistant were engaging with all the customers in the room, and Mike often left the waiting room to inspect/oversee the work of his mechanics, pitching in on several cars in the process. Kudos for a hands-on manager!

Went in and had a transmission and brake fluid flush. A few weeks later my brakes started going out. Returned to Brake Masters and they found the release valve on one of my brakes was loose and leaking. They tightened it, topped off the fluid, and charged me $28 denying THEY could ever have been the ones to leave it loose a few weeks earlier; despite that this was the first time anyone had touch my brakes in ten years. Very irresponsible and unprofessional in my opinion. *********Update*********** Brake Masters district manager contacted me, apologized profusely and stated something like this would never happen again. He then sent me a refund, although I had not asked for it. All I really wanted in the first place was an apology, thanks for finally stepping up.

I took my pickup there because my brakes went out. They told me all the brakes need to be replaced and my seals in my rear axle were bad, they quoted me 1800 dollars, I told them my pickup was not even worth that. They told me I didnt really have any other option because I couldnt drive it without brakes. I laughed and told them I got it there without brakes. When I showed up there were two puddles of oil by the rear tires(strange, never leaked before), they had obviously punctured my seals in order to charge me more. I took the pickup down the road to Russels and they fixed the brakes for 120 dollars. The problem was a bad master cylinder. Brake Masters never even mentioned that.

I was totally upset with this location. I had an appointment for an alignment at 8:00am. The alignment bay was open when I arrived. They indicated that it would take about 1 to 1 1/2 hours to do the alignment. After waiting for nearly 1 hour, they still did not take my car in for the alignment. They put another vehicle ahead of me. I dont know how others feel, but I had other things to do in the morning. I guess that the give appointments just to get you in, then do work for whoever they want. They dont have negative stars, but I will not recommend this store to anyone, even my worst enemy.

I have have a small class C motor home that needed new rotors and pads. I provided the parts, brake masters screwed it up so bad, I feel like I have to warn others. My brakes were installed without the shims necessary to keep the calipers locked in position. I got about 100mi down the road and had a caliper completely fall onto the rotor. Brake masters sent me down the road with brakes in a seriously dangerous condition.
