SJ moving company was a terrible disappointment. I should have known from my initial contact with Rob, one of the co-owners that my experience would be sub-par. I needed to repeat myself several times for dates and pricing, while his response was "Oh, sorry, Im doing, like, 5 other things right now." This was a forecast of a series of anxiety-producing situations leading up to the grand finale of moving day. Three separate price quotes later from the two owners who clearly did not communicate with each other, my final cost ended up being $200 more than the estimate, along with double the hourly rate beyond the base they promised. Not only did they ask to change dates the evening before the moving day, with the excuse "they have SO much going on", when I called to clarify the price the response was offensive and downright demeaning. Essentially, I thought the price was too good to be true, and it was. The end result was paying $200 more than a competitors price, a headache, and a couch that was not moved upstairs.

Mr. Jose and his team did an excellent, efficient, move with great care to my furniture and boxed belongings. I used this company in September 2016 and was very happy again with their help. The entire team was professional, polite, and kind throughout the scheduling, arrival on move day and the completion of the job. The South Jersey Moving company has excellent rates for your next moving needs. This is the second time that I have used this company and recommend them to as many people as possible. They took great care of placing my furniture in the locations of each room and asked where I would like each item placed.

They showed up 3.5 hours late because the other job they were doing ran longer than expected. There was poor communication...no one called to let me know they were running so late. Had to call repeatedly and leave several messages before anyone called me back. They were very tired by the time they got to my move as they had been moving someone else the entire day so when it came to place all of my furniture into my storage unit, they were literally just dumping things anywhere in order to get it off their truck. Overall, they got the job done - but I definitely was not happy with the service.

I just wanted to say that your team was wonderful! Mike literally ran all day. My entire move, from house one to thw second - 20 minutes away - was done in less than 2.5 hours. Granted i was all packed, furniture shrink wrapped and ready to go but moving from one house to a second floor apartment I expected to be three hours or more. The only damage was to one wine glass which I am sure was due to my packing inability! Thank you for the great experience. Great price, great service and an awesome team.

I wouldnt move with this company is I was paid to. They quoted me at a modest competitive price, then sent a four man team that took their time moving from an apartment to a home. We treated the movers to lunch at our home when they arrived and they tacked that time eating on as another hour of work. After all was said and done their estimate was significantly lower then the actual price at the end of the day. It was not a good experience and when suggesting movers I just tell people who not to use.

Very pleased with timeliness and efficiency of my team. The price was very reasonable, they were on time and finished early. I was told I would get 2 men but 3 showed up - no additional charge. They worked fast, had tools and shrink wrap, disassembly and reassembly at no extra charge. I would recommend and use them in the future.

I used them twice before. Excellent workers, and were right on schedule. I go to book a third move and they change the quote 3 times on me, saying that I need to now pay for them to drive to and from their office. I dont know if they changed management, but I would never use them again. Shady dealings!

This company deserves less than 1 star. I requested a quote and got an email that said, "sorry booked." How about asking if I can choose another date? These people are unprofessional and rude. Dont waste you time on a company that doesnt respect its customers.

I have used them three times and all three times were positive. They finished quickly and efficiently. They moved my Baby Grand piano twice and knew what they were doing! I am calling now again to use them for moving used appliances.

Once they realized the job was going to go quicker than their estimate they worked much slower. Were not very careful and scratched newly finished hardwood floors with their hand-carts. Definitely will not use again.
