I recently moved from NJ to NY and hired Chatham Moving and Storage to help. My wife and I moved a lot of our smaller items, but we wanted help with things like the couch and TV. Neil came to my apartment and gave us a detailed quote of their moving and packing services via email and snail mail. We decided to hire them just to move. Our move was scheduled to start at 7:45 on a Saturday morning. The team of three (Andy was the foreman) was at my door at 7:40, ready to go. They all introduced themselves and immediately got to work. They asked questions about what was being moved and if we wanted help packing certain items. Throughout, they were neat, efficient, and personable. After loading their van, we drove to our new place, which is a third floor walkup. Again, they worked quickly and even assembled our bed frame once they moved it into the bedroom. They were willing to put things wherever we wanted them. They finished the job several hours ahead of schedule (which was at least partially due to our work beforehand). Never having moved interstate before, I cant comment on how competitive their prices are. It seemed a bit steep to me, but one look at them bringing our couch upstairs made it worth every penny. I heard nothing but horror stories from friends about movers, but the folks from Chatham Moving were a pleasure to work with. Their website is easy to navigate and they responded to emails promptly, often within minutes. I cant recommend their work enough.

I cannot say enough good things about Chatham Moving & Storage: professional, courteous, careful, diligent, efficient, and most importantly, trustworthy. The flawless move out of our home, the unbelievably clean,. climate controlled storage facility, and the move into our new home was fantastic and provided a priceless peace of mind through what normally is a stressful endeavor. Significantly, moving is never easy. Our closing into our new home was pushed back from the original date a total of 5 times. Each time I contact Chatham Moving and Storage they were gregarious, optimistic, reassuring, and patient. I offer my highest recommendation of Chatham Moving and Storage.

I have used Chatham Moving as a storage facility but never had occasion to use them for moving until 2016. The estimate was competitive but the real value was in the team of movers. The crew was friendly, careful and polite. Nothing was an issue for these movers, total pros!

The worst customer service...very cold both on the phone and in person!! I found someone else who is much more friendly and flexible!! I would never give a penny to this business as this is not how to run a business.
