DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY! It was a terrible, frustrating experience. I had to call the POLICE in the end. Pick-up day: 5 hours late, no packing of furniture which I paid extra for packing, and making me sign some dubious form which cause problem in the end The moving date was set for Jun 28th, 2016. I was expecting the movers at 8 a.m. but they came 5 hours late without a warning. The mover demanded extra charge for long carry and the use of elevator, which I refused to pay as it was already included in the contract. Then, his attitude changed very hostile throughout the whole loading process. He even refused to wrap my bulky furniture with blankets, which is the violation of the contract. He kept saying he did not have time for that but it was not my fault that they were 5 hours late. In the end, these unwrapped items were delivered in severely damaged condition. Additionally I paid extra for the packing of my mattress spring, but it turned out that the movers did not pack it with covers at all and it arrived with severely damaged condition. After the movers loaded my property in the truck, they made me sign another contract, which is a form made by the company and which they refused to give me the copy. The paper indicated some possible extra charges in the pick up location. At this point, as they already loaded my property, I could not refuse to sign this paper hoping that Bill of Lading, which is the official moving contract, overrides this company-specific dubious form. In transit : no notice for 2-weeks delay until the arrival day The delivery was scheduled for July 9th, but I did not receive any notice until I called the company that morning. The sales representative Greg, who I made contract with, told me that he only does sales and I need to contact Dispatch department in which LEWIS was in charge of. Although I called LEWIS, he had no idea where the truck is and when would be the next approximate delivery date. Every time I called the company, they made me call other people, who had no idea about when the truck would arrive in my location, and no one attempted to be responsible for the delay. Delivery day: POLICE involved On the delivery day, the movers, Eugene and the team, arrived in my apartment demanded extra charge in cash for renting a Uhaul, and extra labor for loading and unloading Uhaul. I refused to pay as they did not notify me about the final charges prior to delivery or while in transit and the extra charge was more than 110% of the initial contract paper, which is ILLEGAL by law. Then, the movers ran off with my property saying that they will leave my property at storage at my expense and leave for California. Then, they did not pick up my call so I called Police for Burglary and Theft. (Case #, 0925204-xx). LEWIS, the representative at the Dispatch department yelled and threatened me over the phone saying that I will have to pay for the movers waiting time and the storage, or I pay the extra now in order to get my shipment that day. I finally called the mover, Eugene and agreed to pay the extra of $340 as I was afraid that they would leave for California and I have to wait another few weeks. When I paid the extra charges, they made me sign the form saying I would never dispute this charge, which is also ILLEGAL. This company is completely UNTRUSTWORTHY and IRRESPONSIBLE. No one would respond to any of the problems and will make you pay $$$$ in the end.

Disastrous experience. Choose anyone else to help you with your move. I did not contract with Traditional Express directly - the company I did contract with made the unfortunate choice to hire Traditional Express to complete my move at the last minute. I was told my pickup window was 8 am-11 am on a Sunday. By 11 am, nobody had shown up or called. I tried calling my company but they are closed on Sundays. Around 4:30 pm, Traditional Express showed up. I watched one guy drop two of my boxes. They told me I had not packed correctly and they would need to charge me for packing materials even though the company I directly worked with gave me a binding estimate and I was explicitly told there would be no surprise charges. Three days before I was expecting a call from my company for my delivery time (on another Sunday), the Traditional Express driver calls me and informs me he will be delivering the next morning (Monday). The company I was working withs offices are closed on Sundays, so there was nothing I could do and no one I could call. I was not in my delivery location yet, so I had to ask a friend to agree to meet the driver for me. She waited all day Monday and he never showed up. He finally called me Monday night saying he would not be making it after all. First full day of wasted time. We made arrangements for her to meet him at 10 am Tuesday morning. At 11 am he called me and says hes finally getting started for the day. He asked me what the delivery address was, which was majorly concerning because he should have had that information. After I gave him the address, he asked what city thats in. I told him. He then informs me hes in a city thats 3-4 hours away. I called my friend and tell her to go home because hes not coming any time soon. Around 5 he called me again to tell me hes nearby and wants to deliver. I asked my friend to meet him. Again, she waits for an hour. He finally shows up on foot for some reason and asks her to drive him back to his truck. While shes driving him back to his truck, he makes a vaguely threatening comment like "dont be scared, Im married." Then asks her to buy him an iced tea. Keep reading, it gets worse. He finally gets his truck pulled in and begins unloading. He is so slow and uncoordinated and has ZERO helpers, so my friend is forced to help him unload and organize everything. 5 hours later, she calls me to tell me theyre done and describes the stuff she saw get unloaded. NONE of it is mine! This man delivered some strangers stuff! The next day, Wednesday, I cant get my company on the phone. The driver calls me to tell me he delivered the wrong stuff and he wants to come swap it out. I tell him he had better have helpers this time. He says he will. I finally get ahold of the company and they guarantee me the driver will have helpers. My friend once again leaves work to meet this driver. And waits. And waits. He finally shows up with no helpers, and says theyre "10 minutes away". Another hour passes and no helpers. It seemed very much like he was lying. My friend and her husband had to help this man once again to do his job and it took another 4 hours. The boxes were split in places and he was very rough with my furniture. Im really frustrated and disappointed with this experience. I would have been better off doing literally anything else than working with these people. Save yourself the headaches and avoid this company.

Five stars for great effort and timely service. I have made many moves in the past using moving companies however I my self have never made an effort to move someone across 2500 miles. This company was highly recommended by a friend who moved to Arizona a few months ago. From the start of the operation the representatives made a huge effort to provide me with a complete breakdown of what I need to know and how I should prepare this move for my family. Lets face it moving isnt easy and it can be really painful mentally and physically even if all you are doing is packing boxes for a few weeks. We all have parents that decide its imperative to keep all their old and humongous furniture from generations past because they think it fits the new houses fung shui. I dont know why but my mom wanted to keep her old China cabinets that looked gigantic (every parent has them) and looked like it would be impossible to move. After taking some photos and videos and sending it to the moving company they said they had all the necessary info to make this move successful....I had a hard time believing it. On the fateful day of the move the crew arrived early and well mannered. They started to inventory everything keeping track of every single thing. I was pretty impressed because I expected just a normal style move...needless to say I was wrong. The crew imformed me the importance of the way they move. It seemed very important to them to be very thorough not only because its their job but I really felt that they cared about the service they provided. The move on the pick up took nearly 6 hours. Once the day was complete my mom spent the remaining time cleaning the house floors while i signed off the documents and tipped the guys. I contacted the office the day after not realizing that they reached out to me via email to notify me that our belongings were securely stored and being prepared for shipment. That answered my questions without having to ask them at all. About 8 days later I get a call that my moms items were going to be in LA shortly and to prepare the house for a large 18 wheeler. The crew arrived 48 hours later which is 11 days out (faster than we expected but they did tell us that it was quick delivery from the start). The truck didnt fit in our driveway ( my fault since I was asked to keep track of the space). The driver of the trailer backed up this huge truck as close as he could and walked the items 200 feet. Took the crew all day but they were kind about it. All in all an A+ for service, integrity, pricing and kindness I cant expect people to be so nice and polite when doing such hard and tedious work. I get frustrated just thinking about the whole operation yet this company took the whole weight on their shoulders and made my mom a happy women. For $2700 to complete a whole move across the country I couldnt be happy. When calling in ask for Jim who was our rep. He was excellent and thorough. The movers, Max, john, Charlie, Tim and the trailer driver Artum were all excellent individuals. Thank you very much traditional for an exception traditional experience. My review is longer than most
