Lets face it, there isnt much difference between storage facilities. Most offer similar services and the prices differences are negligible. So the real consideration is customer service. Madonna at ESS in Hackettstown has a gift for delivering the best possible customer service without breaking company rules. She used to work at the Hopatcong location where I once shared a unit with my ex-husband. Madonna worked with me when I was left in a difficult position. After several years of being a faithful customer, and recommending the facility to friends I fell behind in payments following a severe car accident. I called Madonna to ask her to explain my options as the current manager had "done all he could for me". She took the time to explain what happens during the eviction/auction process, then told me of a Pay to Vacate option that the upper management might extend to me. She took her time to call and speak to them on my behalf, followed up with me and advised the current office manager at Hopatcong of this plan. Because of Madonnas kindness and dedication to her employer as well as the clients I will have nothing but kind words for the Hackettstown Extra Space Storage facility.

Because my NYC apartment building was bought out by a slumlord, I was forced, after 40 years to move out of NY. I did had a local storage unit in NYC where the prices just kept escalating. I found the Hacketstown NJ Extra Space facility on the internet. It was close to my mothers house and had good prices. Madonna, the manager, was excellent from the first call. She followed up before and after to make sure I was satisfied (the NYC facility I was with for 15 years, never contacted you, and it wasnt a place you could call up if you had a problem ... you were just a number). The facility is nice, easily accessible (handcarts, etc). There is actually two ground levels, you can drive your car up back and roll your items in. I was assured by Madonna if I needed more room or to change anything, it would be handled. The climate control feature is nice, especially since you dont want mold or humidity destroying your stored items. I has been an over all good experience so far.

Moving can be a very stressful time, specially when it comes sooner than you expect. We had and still have the best experience with the service at the Hackettstown Extra Space Storage facility. Its clean, easy access, 1st month free!!!, affordable, considering it"s climate controlled and indoors, convenient hours but most of all Madonna was wonderful to us throughout the whole deal, very accommodating, she treated us in a very respectful manner, understood our needs and worries. We still keep a smaller unit and have the peace of mind that our belongings are in a safe, clean place. My daughter and her husband also used the facility when they lived out of the country for about 14 months and everything worked just fine for them also. My husbund and I highly recommend it!!

Every time I go into Extra Space Storage in Hackettstown, Anthony is always so pleasant and helpful. He greets you as soon as you walk in the door and if he is with a customer he asks you to kindly wait and he will be with you when he is complete. He never makes you feel rushed if you have questions and is very knowledgeable. The storage unit is very clean and well kept. When my husband and I first rented a unit a month ago, we underestimated the amount of space we would need. Anthony was so willing to help us and never made us feel as if we were a bother to him. There was another man working there one day when I went in, I did not know his name but he was also so friendly and helpful.I would definitely recommend this storage facility to anyone.

We were in the process of selling our home and moving from a large home to smaller home and we were worried about our valuables. Using Hampshire Self Storage allowed us to organize and move the stuff we valued into storage giving us a peace of mind that the items wouldnt get broken, lost or forgotten. We were impressed with the security, including monitors in every hallway as well as the cleanliness of the facility. Any help or questions we had that staff was able to answer them quickly and professionally. We also loved the fact that we could pay our monthly storage fee online. Thanks so much to all of the staff who helped make our transition seamless!

Awesome facility!!! Madonna and Anthony who work in the office are very friendly and knowledgeable. They spent as much time as needed with me explaining the different size options available along with the different rates based on the unit selected. The guidance they provided helped me with deciding on the best unit for my needs and budget. The facility is extremely clean, safe and climate controlled. I came in today just shopping around and Anthony was extremely helpful. He showed me around the building and offered me a really good price. Unfortunately, I do not plan on moving for a few more months, so I was unable to secure a rental space today. Before I left we talked some more. He handed me his business card and asked me if I would give him a review. He told me that it would really help with his future with the company. Its clear that Anthony takes he job seriously, and I plan on renting here in the future.

There are many places that really help you out in your daily life. A hardware store, a large retail store, the local convenience store. One of the overlooked gems that help us out in our daily life is Extra Space Storage. I own a small business and a growing family. Extra Space Storage has given me the room to help me expand my businesss inventory and my familys extra stuff!! The staff is courteous and very knowledgeable. They are a great edition to our community. I am glad to be a patron of Extra Space Storage.

Had an amazing experience with both Madonna and Carlos. Very respectful and inviting. They did not leave out any details and explained everything in depth, leaving me with no questions, which I love. I felt like it was a very personable conversation rather than just being a consumer, which makes me feel comfortable. From start to finish everything was handled professionally. Madonna, the manager was excellent. She walked me through every part of the process and paperwork. She went above and beyond with the move of my mothers items into storage. A larger unit was originally reserved, but she waited till the moving truck arrived, assessed the amount of items, took the moving men to look at 2 different size units, and determined a smaller unit would work. When I visited the Hackettstown Extra Space location to have a look at their operation, I was very pleased to see that it was a very clean, organized, and well-run operation.
