The facility is kept clean & neat. Rates are good. I have rented from many storage facilities in the past, so you kind of know what to expect. This is the first one Ive reserved & booked online & put my move in date (expecting to go in a day or 2 before to finalize everything). I get a call from someone here that I must come in within a day or 2 to sign paperwork & make payment. It was a busy week for me but managed to run in. They also want you to set an appointment to do this. That was a first for me. I get there & am told my rental would start as of that day because Im signing & paying that day. After protesting, Im told I can come in a day before or so. & thats when it would start. Pretty much as I figured. I go back 2 days before my move in date & square things up & finalize the rental unit. Im given the insurance option & told I have to pick from 3 different options. Other places Ive rented from in the past had 1 option & basic payment. We all know the insurance you get at a storage facility is a POS. If anything happens, they dont cover anything. Its a scam, but you have to have it. If youre lucky enough to collect anything due to damage, you get pennies & usually involves going back & forth for a L-O-N-G T-I-M-E...! Then they tell me I have to buy this lock cylinder for $20 because thats the only thing that will work on their doors. I asked if after my rental they take the lock back & return my $20. Answer - NO. Its your to keep. What the hell can I use this for? Anyway, I now go to the unit to make sure the gate pass works & put my lock on & notice that I could have used a regular pad lock on this. See pic

So I was in Texas on my home and remembered that I needed access to my unit the following morning in New Jersey. The problem was that it was July 4th and of course everything is closed except of course for Public Storage. Thank God because I had to have access that morning before business hours. The working property manager (Taryn) made it a point to overcome all hurdles and find a way to grant me access to my unit. Oh yeah by the way it was already 2 in the afternoon on the 4th. So yes Public Storage gets 5 stars from me for every aspect of their business especially customer service.

Although I havent used public storage for their storage facilities, I did stop in to purchase a few packaging items. The facilities were very well-kept and the staff was really courteous. The girl at the front desk, Kelly, helped me buy some boxes. I wasnt sure how many I would need or what sizes for the amount of stuff I had to pack but she was very helpful and knowledgable. I would definitely come back here for my packing needs and I would try out their storage if I ever needed it because of the great service I received while I was there.

I came into the store today on Route 34 to inquire about renting a unit. Weve had trouble in the past with other storage places. Our last one we had nothing but problems and constant harassment from the staff. Your representative John was probably one of the nicest representative Ive ever met. Very happy, very helpful and very funny. Made me feel at ease with trusting my belongings with him. John knew what he was talking about and even explained things that I didnt understand in a way that I wasnt feeling belittled. Thank you John

Well kept facility, competitive prices. I was on the fence about staying where I am at a different storage company because of location, but if all of the staff is like Taryn then I will travel a little further and pay a bit more to deal with a company that promotes staff getting to know the customers. If I am going to rent a cube for a few years I want to know the people maintaining the facility are people I can trust, and she nailed it. I look forward to stopping in the office also when checking on my stuff just to say hi.

Went to public storage in old bridge and expected to just get a unit and go. Surprisingly I was met with a smile and a friendly attitude. Taryn was very helpful and very courteous. Answered all my questions and helped me pick the unit that was right for me. She has a wonderful attitude and willingness to make sure I got what I needed. This location is lucky to have someone willing to go the extra mile for there customers.

The additional fees, forcing you to purchase the lock (which isnt a rotary or a regular lock), mandatory insurance... basically everything with Pricing and Payments was a surprise and/ or a fairly obvious ploy to force me to give them more money, and the prices themselves, with all of these, are no longer something that made "happy". Aside from all of that, the service was excellent and they were very accommodating and kind.

The woman who is always working whenever I go. I believe her name is either Kelly or Katie, is just absolutely wonderful. She absolutely goes above and beyond for every customer. Myself and my family have had to use storage a few times in the past during moves and what not. And K has been beyond helpful and really takes the time to explain services and fees. I wish there were more people in the world like her.

I came in to this location to inquire about storage. Seeing as how this is my first time using a storage facility, I had a lot of questions. Both of the workers, Mike and John, were very helpful and extremely friendly. They took the time to not only show me around the facility but to also explain the security features of the property as well. I would whole-heartedly recommend this company.

I went to public storage because I needed something to protect my artwork during my move. The girl in the office, Kelly, had several ideas to help me. I ended up buying an expandable "tv box". It can fit several of my pieces in there and I can reuse it over and over. They have all kinds of other boxes and supplies as well, a one stop shop for moving, packing & storing. Thank you!

When into the public storage in Matawan because I needed boxes and some packing supplies I spoke to Amanda she was very knowledgeable on what I needed and how to protect my items she was very nice and kind great customer service would recommend anyone looking for boxes and packing supplies or Storage to come to the public storage in Matawan and speak to Amanda very great experience

I moved in the other day and it went very smoothly. The manager Mike helped me figure out what size I needed since I had never done this before and everything fit perfectly. I even saved some money because I ended up needing less space than I thought. Although I have not been here very long, my experience so far has been very positive.

Kelly and Mike were both very helpful and made our experience with public storage very easy! They were very kind and explained everything to us in detail! We will definitely use public storage again in the future after we are done with our move and we are happy we have a place where we feel comfortable to store our stuff!
