Searched the tri state area looking for a team to do a mechanical overhaul on a 78 failed restoration I purchased under bad circumstances. Bob and Shawn were experts, the shop was clean, progress reports were given daily and they often thought outside the box to get things done. It was not a cheap project but the main point is everything was done timely and beyond professionally. I got very lucky that Shawn is an expert in the model truck we had to work on and we basically did a mechanical overhaul in three Phases. Bobs shop is sparkling clean and I never felt like my truck was put on the back burner. I would recc this shop for high end restoration work, body work and just everyday service. I think we will be taking all of our cars here going forward. Keep up the great work Long Hill Auto - the community needs more experts and less hot air!

Caution!!!!! I suggest you use caution in dealing with this shop. I called in to get a estimate for a straight forward repair that Dealerships have not a problem quoted. They insisted that before they can give estimate of repair they would to take my car apart. As a professional I have had this type of job done before and know the details required to do the job. Allowing a mechanic dissemble your car with an up front estimate puts you at the mercy of the shop and you will not be able to drive it out without the repair. This is the way some unethical mechanic shops operate. I refuse to do business with this shop because of not giving me an upfront estimate before they take my car a part and will never give my business to Long Hill Auto Service Millington, NJ 07946.

I took my car for an inspection. My check engine light went on - perhaps I should know this would make you fail, but I dont inspect cars for a living so I wasnt aware. Im told the car failed for having the check engine light on. So basically they just turned my car on and saw immediately that it was going to fail. Which means they did not actually perform an inspection...yet they still charged me $75 for their "service". Updating my review from one star to five. I received a letter from the owner and a check refunding me for the $75 I was charged for the inspection. I appreciate that there are businesses who care about their customers and have integrity. Thank you for doing the right thing.

I have nothing but praise for these guys. My car stopped dead for no apparent reason an they got it running, only to have the problem repeat. Long Hill sent out a truck with a loner car on the bed, picked up my car and kept it until they were absolutely positive they got it right. Though the original fix wasnt quite right, they did more than apologize, they righted the problem and didnt charge me again. Everyone here was kind and accommodating. They were upfront and honest about cost and needed service. Additionally, they vacuumed my car! I highly recommend this shop.

I took my 1963 Rambler to Long Hill Auto recently. The shop is clean and organized, the mechanics friendly and knowledgeable. They diagnosed a particularly difficult problem and made the repairs. The owner recommended what needed to be done to "make it right". I appreciate that. I dont like shops that just recommend the bare minimum for the lowest cost. They use the right quality parts and the service rates are competitive. Will come back for service for my other cars. Recommended.

Since we moved to the area over 12 years ago we have relied on Bob and his staff to keep our vehicles in excellent working order. We have found Long Hill Auto to be professional and the work quality excellent.
