On Saturday I bought Black&Decker car polisher buffer its a electronic device, and apparently it didnt work for me. When using this product it got over Heated short time and smoke came out. So I decided to go return it and in the receipt no where it says I will only only get a store credit. When I asked for Manger gentlemen name Dave Walter call himself as assistant store manager who has no..... experience or temperament to be a Manager, then he goes on he is doing me a favor ... I asked him show me the policy where it says I cant return damage product then the manager told me again he doesnt have have its some where. I read the policy this is what says Products Which We Do Not Accept for Return Performance accessories, electrical items, mobile electronics and tire chains cannot be returned if they have been installed Test equipment, specialty tools and Traxxas cars cannot be returned if they have been used and/or the packaging has been opened or damaged Clearance merchandise Motorized transportation and generators can be returned if returns of those items are authorized by the manufacturers of those products. If u look at the last paragraph it says "returned if they have been installed" mine is not installed its happened to be electronics. Its a misleading and cheating customers and someone should be hold accountable for falsifying and misleading. Shame on pep boys that they are constantly cheating on customer.

Recently I had my 2007 Chevy Equinox repaired by Pep Boys Auto Parts & Service (located in Egg Harbor Township, NJ). The auto specialist who I spoke with was Larry. I like the fact that he was on point, straight forward (about the issues w/my vehicle), and reassuring that the repairs would be fixed in a professional manner and completed within 2-3 hours. He visually showed me the repairs needed and pointed red flags on what couldve happened if I didnt get it repaired that day. Larry knew I was distraught when he printed out the cost to the repairs. Mechanics are usually pretty rough around the edges and you really dont see that sincere/soft side unless your married to one. Solving and fixing problems, then having to deal with cranky customers is pretty exhausting. Larry and his team were sincere 100%. Not only did Larry give me a call to keep me updated on my car during the waiting process, but he went out of his way to find coupons/discounts to cut the repair cost! I highly recommend Pep Boys Auto Parts & Service (located in Egg Harbor Township, NJ). If you want honest auto specialists working on your car, you know where to go! Lawrence Sesta aka Larry & Nicholas Cornell, thank you!

I just ordered new tires that needed to be mounted on my car so I called Pep Boys the day before. I wanted to come in the next night so I asked on the phone the day before if I needed to make an appointment before I came. The guy on the phone assured me that I could just walk in and have the work done on my car so, ok. So I drive all the way there and I walk in. The guy in front of me in line is talking to the service clerk about how a hub cap he ordered from them awhile back is sitting on the shelf and no one called him about it so he came in to see if it was there... I go up after him and tell them my situation with my tires so the clerk goes in the back. He comes back out and sure enough he says that they just got swamped and cant work on my car today but I can make an appointment to come in the next day. Wont be wasting my time with this place again.

After a bad experience at a different Pep Boys I decided to give these guys a chance with one of the simplest tasks: mounting and balancing tires. Bad idea. Every one who works at a Pep Boys works there only because it paid better than his job working the drive through window at McDonalds. None of them qualify as mechanics. After noticing my tires were off balance, I took them to a tire shop where I found out that every tire was at least 13 oz off balance. 13 OUNCES!!! Thats nearly a pound off balance! Do you know how hard it is to balance a tire? Its not! They use an electronic machine that tells them where to put the weight. Yet these idiots cant even get that right. Dont expect them to get anything else right. Your car is more likely to come out of this shop in worse condition than it went in.

Im not happy with this place at all!! Gave them a second chance and they blew it. Very misleading, one person will tell you one thing then someone else will tell you something completely different. Make sure all they work is properly documented and what they say is documented so they cant say later its not what they said. I have everything documented with times and dates .. I dont trust them nor will I ever again. Ill update as soon as I clean up the mess they made. Remember theyre the professionals but dont be afraid to questions things when it comes to your car and the money youre spending. Dont let try and get over hold them responsible for the mistakes they make. In my situation I have and will again. After a this I thought for sure they got their stuff together! I was wrong.

My father always took his car to the boys and he never had a bad experience. Well, my car was approaching 60000 miles and knowing the tires were getting worn, I decided to drop my car off early to have some tires done. I have no complaints at all. I got a call about 9am with some options, and was told the mechanic found a joint worn. I did mention that the car felt a little more loose as it aged and heard a clunking. So I opted for some new Michlins, has the joint thing fixed, and alignment. Feels like a new car again. Had them change the oil too. When I arrived to pick up the car, I was treated as a friend, not some "customer". More good advice from dear ole dad. Thank you Peps on Tilton Rd.

This kind of bothered me since I came into the eht store end of last week/beginning of this week to buy light for my vehicle & was there for about 15-20 minutes. You can observe a lot in that time. I saw a young man who seemed to be the only one who was doing something. He seemed like a nice productive young man & didnt seem as just an associate . As for the other employees not so much. Whoever the actual manager is should really should see it through he others get their butts in gear instead of standing in one spot cause I can only imagine what they bring other to the store other days. I wish I had introduced myself told him how much of a great job he was doing.

Went in for two new, bald tires, called ahead to find out how much it would be and brought about exactly what I needed with me, and no debit card. While waiting and perusing the store, the manager (wish i could remember his name) pulled me aside and informed that a third tire was hazardously bald. Upon learning I only had enough money on hand to pay for two, he gave me the third anyway, free of charge, citing that he couldnt in good conscience allow me to drive on the tire in current condition. We need more people who act based on those feelings, rather than the clang of the cash register, and through his actions, he created a lifelong pep boys customer
