I have never come out of a repair situation trusting a mechanic more than today when I went to Electro Tech. The night before my driver side window would not roll back up and so in the morning I starting calling around to different places to try to get it fixed. Tom was the only person to understand how much of an issue having a permanently open window was for me and was able to get my car in right away. He was so incredibly nice and reassuring during the whole process and always let me know what price everything was going to be so there were never any surprises. After fixing the window I had mentioned that my heat had been broken for the past 3 years and I had tried getting it fixed at multiple other places to no avail and he popped the hood and noticed the issue in less than a minute. It was a fast fix and for the first time in a long time I have working heat which I was able to test right there. He explained every part of what the issues were and how they needed to be fixed. Not only does he really know his stuff (finding a small issue that escaped multiple other people), but he seems to really care about making sure that your car is safe and taken care of. I will without a doubt be going here from now on with my problems because for the first time I left a mechanic feeling really good about the experience. My mind was seriously blown. Thank you so much!

I think they may not honest and not professional. I had an engine heating problem and had them check it. They told me that I will pay $98.95 for one hour to check it and may fix it. I leave the car here and wait nearby, they spent about 20-30 minutes, then doing other stuff. Later on they told me they are not sure what the problem is, they said MIGHT be the radiator problem. They said need to charge another $98.95 to do radiator flow test. I asked them that usually the diagnostic fee is about $35-40, and WHY YOU NEED CHARGE $200 FOR DIAGNOSTIC EVEN NOT SURE WHERE IS THE PROBLEM? I also asked, after I pay $200 diagnostic fees for flow test if you still cannot locate where is the problem what you do? You will charge more like $300, and $400 keep on for diagnostic? They said yes. I did not agree. I said no. I said if you are sure where the problem is, I can pay the cost to fix it, but you should be sure where is the problem. They quoted me $400-$450 to change the radiator and STILL NOT SURE THEY CAN FIX IT OR NOT. I think they may not honest and not professional. I paid $100. I am hesitating to go back.

I had a serious malfunction issue with my car. My regular mechanic suggested I get rid of it since the cost for repair would be great due to the issue being engine related. I decided to check around and came across Electro Tech Auto Repair in Monmouth Junction NJ. After speaking with the owner (Tom) I decided to let Electro Tech Auto take a look at my car and I am very happy I did. Not only were they able to fix the issue ( at a fraction of what I was led to believe) but they made other suggestions to make my car run even more efficiently (very noticeable improvement in performance). Tom would call me multiple times to give me unsolicited updates about my repair and also kept me abreast of what the service and parts would cost. Electro Tech Auto of Monmouth Junction is honest, fair and extremely experienced in all things automotive. I highly recommend them and will be taking my business to them moving forward.

Finally found mechanics I can trust! Being a female many mechanics take full advantage because of the lack of knowledge about car mechanics and always sell you more than you really need. You will not find that here very knowledgeable, easy to talk to, & more importantly they are happy to take the time to educate and show you the parts that need to be changed before hand and what was completed after the way all auto shops should. They also guarantee all of their work so I feel confident that if anything comes up there will be no hassles. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs an honest mechanic!

Tom is friendly and honest - not to mention knowledgeable. An electrical engineer with a love of cars he can explain any aspect in all the detail you desire and makes it very easy to understand. He worked with us on an old car to do only as much as necessary to make the car safe and functional. It is great to deal with the owner (Tom) and know he does the work himself (along with trusted sidekick, Eric). He is fair and gives a quote up front. If he needs ti charge time for labor involved in diagnosing he will tell you up front and give a ceiling on the amount. Highly recommend.

Wonderful Service! My vehicles starter had went out while visiting my family for Christmas. Had my vehicle towed to Electro Tech to try and fix the problem. Tom did everything he could to find a new starter and replaced it all within just a few hours. Tom did an absolutely fantastic job and saved my trip from being ruined and stuck without a vehicle. I highly recommend Electro Tech!

Great personel and staff. Brought my car for a battery drain that no one else could find! Tom and Eric stayed late that day beacause I needed the car back the next day for travel. These guy absolutely know what they are doing and are willing to work with customers that are in need! Great service wish they were in New York so I can make them my mechanics. Thanks again guys!

HONEST, PROFESSIONAL AND FANTASTIC MECHANIC I have been using Tommy Farrell the owner of electro tech for almost 2 decades. What can I say other than Tommy is as honest as the day is long, he is incredibly knowledgeable about automotive repairs and has always been very fair in terms of the cost of parts and labor. I would not think to take my cars elsewhere.

I brought my truck into Electro-Tech because of a check engine light, expecting to pay a fortune to have it fixed. Tom showed me that it was just a simple problem with a vaccuum hose. He charged me very little and sent me on my way in a short amount of time. I passed inspection an hour later! What a relief!
