Absolutely horrendous. If I could give them a negative score I would. The worker Karen there as a cashier was absolutely rude. We walked in with our young children to do passports at 1:40 when they stop doing passports at 2. She asked how many we needed for our children and we told her three passports.. then she shook her head in disgust so rudely as if she was annoyed while there was a large line waiting and everyone saw. Now if that isnt embarrassing for us as well as embarassing for her to act in such a manor? Apparently they prefer to start doing passports at 1:30 so they can be done by 2, but being 10 minutes late because we had to wait for our son to get out of school and it wasnt even the time that they ended yet? Well once my fiancé complained about the service a man said he would do it and stay a few minutes later if needed. So once they made us go back on line for the 3rd time and saw the SMALL area that wasnt filled out then they gave us attitude again that it wasnt filled out when we were told NOT to over the phone before we came. So they started huffing and puffing again so we decided to leave because of their attitude. Im sorry but when you walk in with THREE little kids needing help while being ON TIME because we need these passports for our wedding.... then they are downright rude insensitive people.

I have an online business. Ecommerce is the ONLY thing keeping the USPS in business. But the lazy workers in Newton dont seem to recognize this. They have been refusing to give me a scan in receipt. They say its new policy. Im expected to just hand them my packages and just walk away without even watching them scan. The problem with this is I used to do that at Stillwater PO. Until they lost 3 packages in 1 month. 2 were insured by I had no recourse because they NEVER scanned the packages and I had no receipt. The whole reason I drive all the way to Newton is to GET that receipt. I explained this to the nasty woman who is often the clerk (youll know who I mean if you go there often. She always has a pissed off look on her face, and GOD forbid you ask her a question. She is so nasty. Should really find a new job), anyway, she didnt care and practically threw the scan form at me. I told her watching you scan the form is still not enough. I need a receipt. She actually rolled her eyes, lol. I understand my business is not her problem, but like I said, she depends on people like me, just as people like me depend on the USPS. Seriously considering FedEx.

Yes, Im going to post a review and I rarely do this. I submitted an application for a US Passport today. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. The photo I brought with me was not up to standards so they took another photo, free of charge. The representative walked me through the process in the most painless manner possible. This is a very busy place yet they were staffed properly to accommodate all of their customers needs in a timely fashion. Doing business with the government can be a pain in the butt but these folks did an outstanding job. I highly recommend their services.
