HORRIBLE SALESMAN, UNBELIEVEABLE EXPERIENCE & LOST WAGES I am hoping to come to an agreement before we go through arbitration due to the sheer craziness of my experience with Kerbeck. The main issue I have would be with the main salesman I dealt with but there were other things along the whole process that are causing me mental and financial distress including lost wages. First of all, the salesman said many amazing things to me to sell me a vehicle. The one that sticks out in my mind the most is that he would legally help me to get the vehicle for free. He also said he was morally conflicted working for Kerbeck; that he had a second job/interest in helping people get out of financial distress, helping people fight the illegal actions of the dealership, the government and the loaning banks. He said Kerbeck did illegal things like purposefully discard important customer financial information. He tells me all this to sell me a vehicle I didnt really want. I told the salesman I was looking for a red or black SUV vehicle with Bluetooth to replace my old van. I was shown a silver SUV. When taking it for a test drive, the salesman told me the vehicle had Bluetooth. He also showed me the XM radio feature and told me I would get 30 days or 3 months (I cant remember which) of service free. He also started talking about books and legal documents pertaining to me being able to get this vehicle for free, legally. He told me the sales staff didnt work on commission so he had no real financial incentive to sell me the vehicle. I shared with him that Im a social worker who needed to replace an older van in order to continue picking up at-risk children as an advocate. He told me he believed in God, but didnt attend a church regularly. He kept saying this was the vehicle for me. That there was a reason I came into that dealership. He made it sound like that reason was that he would help me get this vehicle for free, legally. He kept showing me legal documents and book titles on his phone about how his methods helped get people out of debt and financial distress. I feel foolish now, but he was very convincing. I showed him my passion for these kids I work with and my love for God and he used it against me. As it turned out, the vehicle has no Bluetooth. I also noticed during my test drive and his sales pitch that the vehicle had severe scratches on the doors and was missing all foot mats from the floor. When I looked up reviews and pricing online for such a vehicle in such a condition, I saw that the asking price was high. When I brought this to the salesmans attention, he said he would take care of me. He didnt say another word about the actual price until he walked me over to sign papers. The price was still way too high, of course. I didnt like that but I couldnt argue with free. No Bluetooth, scratches, no floor mats, wrong color. All these are issues but I wanted to have faith; Im a working stiff praying for a deal and this salesman says hell help me out. Other things were troubling about my experience. After going into the signing room to purchase the vehicle, they sold me extended coverage for the vehicle. They told me it cost a dollar a day. I signed a 6 year financing agreement, but the coverage was only for 3 years. A dollar a day for three years or a dollar a day for 6 years? Why would I pay the extra $31 a month for the entire 6 years if the coverage is only for 3 years? The cost for this coverage is $1,775. 1,775 isnt a dollar a day for 3 years or 6 years. The main thing is that it wasnt 3 years like the salesman said. It was 3 years or 36k miles, whichever comes first. Well, thats a big difference to someone who plans on driving a lot picking up kids for work. The XM turned off after the second day, not the 30 days or 3 months I was told. I put out all this effort trying to help society and what does society have for me? A sham... thanks to Kerbeck Subaru in Pleasantville and some salesman. Thanks, universe.

Would NOT buy a car here. I really wanted to because I was selling my car to someone nearby and I live out of state, so it would have been the most convenient. Mark was my salesman -- he was not helpful at all. I already own a Subaru and wanted to purchase a new one. He spent the majority of the time trying to tell me why I should buy a Subaru. I couldnt get a word in edgewise -- he just kept going on and on about stories of how good they are in the snow and ice.... I already KNOW this -- I have one and I love the car, and this is why I was there. First rule of sales = understand your customer -- he clearly didnt do that. Even after this, I still wanted to purchase there due to the convenience factor. I was coming down within a month and wanted to purchase when I returned. Because I wasnt going to sign a deal THAT day, he wouldnt give me a price on the car saying that interest rates might change the following month -- what does that have to do with the price of the car? He kept telling me that he would give me a great deal and that if I went somewhere else, he would beat their price, but he wouldnt give me his own price. When I got home, I e-mailed 4 dealers and ALL of them responded within 24 hours with prices for the car without even meeting me. Also, the quote that they gave me IF I traded in my car was laughable -- they said that there was something wrong with the engine, but when I asked what it was, they just said they didnt know, but something came up. After I returned home, I brought my car to the local dealer asking to do a complete check and they found NOTHING. It would not have taken much to close a deal with me, but he failed all around. I have since purchased from my local dealer, Bill Kolb, and couldnt have had a nicer experience with their salesman, Sergio. Also, waiting the month, I was able to take advantage of the 0% financing offer. If I could give Kerbeck 0 stars, I would.

Kerbeck was amazing!!! they made the tedious work of buying a car so easy. I was an internet shopper and called for pricing. Matthew made it so easy and gave me the best price on my cross trek of all the 10 dealerships I was dealing with at that point. His price on a fully loaded cross trek was comparable to other dealers offers on cars with less features! truly the best price I could find. When we went to the dealership to see the car, they greeted us and treated us like family. Phill (sales consultant) who helped us with the purchase was amazing. He was fun, personable, and made it so easy and smooth, I can not THANK him enough. The extra time he took after closing to show me the ins and outs of the car so I can enjoy the car immed was great. His enthusiasm for the product is wonderful. Mike in finance was very helpful and focused on getting things done quick and efficiently for us!!!!!! PLEASE GIVE KERBECK A TRY...AT LEAST A PHONE CALL for your Subaru needs, these guys are great. And the cross trek is a great car!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU KERBECK!!!
