They were very professional and very up on things from the very start. Gary, who came out to our house and reviewed what I was moving, was very precise and noted what was going and what was staying behind, inventorying everything and taking notes. The pick-up crew arrived right on time, and were very efficient and wrapped all the furniture very carefully. While driving back to Illinois from New Jersey, we were contacted by the movers several times, letting me know how it was going and when theyd deliver the load. The day they delivered my load there was a major snow storm in Chicago, but they delivered everything through 8" of snow already on the ground and more coming down. They put down runners to protect the carpet, and even wiped off the snow that had accumulated on the boxes and furniture while bringing it in before they brought it into my apartment. They asked, and put everything where I told them to, and were both professional and courteous inspite of all the snow. Everything arrived with no damage or breakage inspite of some of my sloppy packing in grocery boxes. We have used United in the past, and after this experience, I definitely use them again. And effort well done from start to finish..

Dont do it. Absolutely awful. Contracted the move. The estimator underestimated the shipment. After we saw the estimate we told Amy who I believe is the dispatcher he was wrong. He made an adjustment but it was not enough. A 53 ft truck showes up half full. The driver, Bob, immediately said he did not have enough room. He was right. They left 1/3rd of our belongings. From here it goes down hill. We made a huge mistake; we paid when they delivered to the new address. NEVER PAY UNTIL THE ENTIRE SHIPMENT ARRIVES. ABSOLUTELY NEVER. Here we are, 1-1/2 weeks after the first delivery and Amy tells us we will receive the rest of our belongings in 2 - 3 weeks . . . maybe. We have mattresses, on frames. We are sleeping on the floor. We have no tools to fix up the new place. And Amy blames it on the hauler they hired. Excuse me? These people are awful and, in my opinion, untrustworthy. Contract with Allied. Contract with Mayflower. Do not contract with Bohrens United. But if you do, dont pay these people until they deliver all your belongings. They are indeed unreliable.

I have an issue regarding a claim under the movers coverage I purchased. While my contention may not be correct I reached out to Louise Froehlich to discuss this, first in writing then after no reply by telephone, leaving a voicemail on her extension. She has not had the decency to respond. Shame on her for treating a customer so shabbily. Otherwise had several issues including paying for crating that was not done (to be fair after discussion they refunded the cost) though the real issue is that a valuable painting could have been damaged. Paid for an unpacking service, the un-packers left without finishing the job, it took a lot longer than it should have to get them back to complete the job. Our crystal was to be bubble wrapped, tissue paper was used resulting in damage to 8 glasses, same with porcelain figurines, one of which cannot be replaced. Had no intention of going public with my concerns until Ms Froehlich did not extend the courtesy of replying to me.

The movers themselves (with the exception of one grumpy old man) could not have been nicer or more personable. They were a pleasure to work with! Communication with Lisa Ireland is poor and at times incorrect. That I found to be very upsetting and disconcerting. Some of my items arrived broken but it is not worth the hassle to keep broken glass in my home and search for replacements while I am trying to unpack and settle into a new home in a new state. Would I recommend them?? Maybe if I dealt with more honest people.

The Bohrens crew that assisted with our recent move exceeded our expectations. What a fabulous bunch of guys (Rus, Tim, Chris, Rich and another Chris). They took great care in packaging and moving our household furniture, china/hutch and lots more! We had to make a pitstop at a storage area and they accommodated that request. I will definitely use Bohrens again! Kudos to you!!
