Terrible experience. Everything went wrong on our NJ to NC move. First off I want to start off by telling everyone to take these other positive recommendations with a grain of salt. We called several moving companies and ultimately decided to use JD Carton because they could guarantee the dates we needed. All the positive reviews on google also helped to make our descision . We were pressured to hurry up and get our contract signed ASAP. We gave them a range of dates to try to be the most flexible we could. They chose our last possible pick-up date in NJ. 15 minutes before the pick-up time our driver called to cancel. We quickly notified the office and clearly stated this was our last possible move date. They did get some guys out to our place later that afternoon. Our credit card was charged a large amount at the time of pick up. We were told our things would arrive that Saturday. We waited around our apartment complex in NC all day. Once late afternoon came by I called the main number, however, no one answers the phone there on weekends. I then left a message on the emergency line -- The message said they were on vacation through April -- It was August. We called and left several more messages Sunday. Finally I called Monday to find out they had no idea something went wrong. Now the fun part begins. They didnt have anyone to move our things for weeks. My contract guarenteed my delievery by Aug 12. I got very upset when I was told it would be weeks before we would get our things. They tried to reassure me telling me there were at least 100 other people liked me in this position because Allied overbooked the system. This made my skin crawl because they already charged our credit card. I was told by the office staff to contact my credit card to stop payment they couldnt do anything about what we paid. I was finally told It would arrive Aug 15th. I got a call at 5PM Friday Aug 12 to notify me our things would not be coming Monday. They gave me the run around so many times, ultimately my husband I had to drive back up to NJ to rent a UHAUL and get our own things. They finally did credit our card back the money. BOTTOM LINE: Try somewhere else.

Yesterday was day 2 of my familys move from Harding Township, NJ to Bernardsville, NJ. We hired JD Carton based on positive reviews we had read and based on Michael Gionis (JD Carton moving consultant) pre-move visit to our home. He knew that our job would take two days & he knew what resources would be required to complete the move. He didnt waste my time and he was super responsive. I wish I had met him 3 moves ago. Our closing got delayed and I had to change our move date at the last possible second...literally at 5pm the day before the move. I was stressed beyond belief as we were moving mid-school-year with many uncertainties including weather. Michael bent over backwards for us, pulling strings & doing anything he could to accommodate us & put me at ease. He didnt let-on that he had to do some things to make it work out but Im positive that he did. He was on top of it, no question. He told me not to worry & said that they would move us on whatever day & time worked best for us. He told me a couple of funny personal "move" stories that completely put me at ease. He took a huge weight off of my shoulders and made me laugh. I cant thank him enough for this. Two days ago, Collington Hall (move lead), Bratrem Cummings, Rascell, Tracy-Ann Hemm & Luis Castellon showed up at my house to move our life. This awesome crew did an amazing job. Its crazy entrusting everything you own to complete strangers and these complete strangers I would now do anything for. They are 100% trustworthy and a lot of fun to be around. They went above and beyond...no joke. I love these people. Rascell checked in with me to be sure everything was going to the right place. He clearly cared and consistently wanted to do a great job-to the very end. As I was fading, he was not.

HORRIBLE! I hired them through Allied Van Lines to move my stuff from NY to AZ. Jonathan Monico my sales rep gave me a total Price Guarantee for my move without even coming to look at what needed to be moved, but I thought since they are guaranteeing the price no problem. WELL, after they moved my things they charged me DOUBLE the contracted price with out even contacting me or telling me it would be more. Wish Id NEVER given them my credit card number or hired them. Ive been disputing this overage of over $3300 with my credit card company for months and this company has had the nerve to falsify documents and forge my signature on new documents all the sudden! totally Illegal! Not to mention they damaged and lost over $1000 of my belongings and even though I purchased full insurance I have only gotten $300 back for the damages. They have not even asked about the things they lost. Horrible. Illegal. Dishonest. No Communication. Geez theres just nothing good I can say about this experience.

DONT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY!!! I contact them through Allied Van Lines to move my things from NY to AZ. They gave me a Total Price Guarantee for the move but then charged my credit card over $3300 MORE than my contracted price with out even contacting me!!! Ive been disputing this for months with my credit card company and this company had the nerve to submit FORGED documents regarding this matter and they have not even had the decency to contact me once throughout this entire process. How can a company just charge your more than double a contracted price with out even contacting you once, having you sign anything, and then forge documents that Id never seen before? Also several of my items were lost and damaged during the shipment that have still not been replaced or fully compensated for even though I purchased full insurance. There is illegal business practices going on here, do not trust them with your precious belongings. And never ever give them your credit card number!

This was our third long distance move utilizing moving services, and our third attempt at finding a good company. For the first time, my moving recommendation can include a company to use instead of another to avoid. The office was quick to answer questions and offer help, and had no issues working with us as things like dates and inventory changed. We were hesitant because the estimate was not binding and would be based on weight, but even with adding a few pieces the price was very reasonable and lower than wed guessed when factoring in our additions. The movers themselves were amazing! The driver was great about staying in touch and, because of scheduling, we were able to take delivery in FL just two days after loading in NJ. The same driver who picked up in NJ delivered in FL and absolutely nothing was missing or damaged. There were no surprise charges and everything flowed in a very professional, but laid back manner at all stages. I absolutely recommend using this company!
