Ive tried waiting for my stuff to be delivered to write my review but I could not wait any longer. So Ill take you step by step of why I am giving this company a 1 star. I apologize as this will be long, but I hope it informs ppl to not do business with these crooks. Sales ppl are very friendly and give you a good deal. (what I tht was a good deal). They gave me an estimate of $1100 for a multi state move which includes 1 month free storage, and stated the movers would break down and pack everything for you. They told me I needed to have 70% avaialable for them to pack my things and I pay the rest upon delivery. Me being inexperienced at moving across states, I tht this to be an excellent deal. They arrive to my apartment to pack all my things They pack everything, and stuff goes down hill. All of my things are on the truck and the mover gives me a bill of $2900.00. $1800.00 more than the original price. He shows me all of the additional fees...includes packing materials, "long distance carry" which is anything over 50 feet of walking they charge you and additional space. Claims what they picked up did not match the amount of space they allotted for due to what was on my packing list. My packing list was exactly the same as what they put on the truck. They said that "sales" only alloted for 1.5 cubic feet and my stuff was 3.5 cubic feet. I told him Im not anything and to take my stuff off the truck. The mover eventually compromised and we settled on a bill of $2100.00. Still this is $1000.00 more than expected. Plus no-one tells you about additional fees when you have your original estimate. I tell the mover I can only give him $770.00 because that was the original planned amount. He says thats fine you can pay the rest upon delivery. About a week goes by and I talk to the customer service about additional storage costs due to me having to go past the free month. She tells me that I need to pay an additional $700.00 now because I did not satisfy 70% of the $2100 costs. If I do not pay now, I will lose my free month of storage and will have to pay even more. I tht she was joking. I became upset and started telling her how terrible of a company this is, how no one told me about these additinal costs and how its crazy for them to expect someone to come up with a large amount of money when they were not prepared based on the original estimate. She was so hung up on the word "estimate". This is how they cover their asses. Estimate or not, nobody is expecting to pay 100% more than what the estimate was for a moving company. I then asked to speak with a supervisor. She refuses. Finally got a supervisor on the phone and that supervisor became rude with me. She finally compromised and allowed me 2 weeks to make the additional $770.00 payment to satisfy 70% needed for them to make delivery So my free storage expires on 11/27. I call on about 11/15 or 16 and tell them I move into my apartment on 12/15. I wanted to know how much storage will be. She says it will be $250.00 for an additional month. And once again it needs to be laid prior to delivery. smh. I ask them how much it is for the 12 days that i would need storage for 11/27-12/15. She tells me they dont pro-rate days and charges the entire month. Im over at this point. I pay the $250.00 on 11/21 and put my request in that day It is now 12/19. I still have not received my belongings. I called o 12/15 and was told it was in "transit". I called 12/16 and still in "transit" I call today am told will be called in 15 mins. I call back 3 hours later and I am told my stuff is still in storage and they have 21 days from the delivery date. Now who really expects to go 21 days without their things? Please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are crooks, inconsiderate, and have poor customer service.

BEWARE: THESE GUYS ARE SCAM ARTISTS! I have filed a complaint with the BBB for fraudulent advertising, deceptive practices and extremely poor customer service. I booked my move with All in the Family Moving & Storage based on a very misleading and dishonest sales rep, Paul Silgee. Paul has a signature in his e-mail "Call me to book with an A+ Rated BBB Company today!!" I see now that they are not accredited with the BBB. Paul said I was getting "an excellent price on one of the discounted routes coming out of Chicago" and that the movers are the best in the business and not subcontracted. None of these claims were true. To begin, Paul quoted my move at $2,400 after going over my belongings in detail. I booked the move with Paul and gave him a deposit for $902.52. A few days before the move, Armando from All in the Family called to go over my inventory to ensure everything was accounted for. We went over everything from my ironing board to my vacuum cleaner. He said my quote had increased to $3,007 total and they required an additional $134.47 deposit right away to secure my move. I paid that immediately. On move day (9/14/16), the movers loaded the majority of items on the truck and I was then told that my moving bill had increased from $3,007 to $6,100. I believe I was way under-quoted and/or extremely overcharged. Had I known the moving fee was going to be this high, I would have went with Two Men and a Truck that quoted this at $3,800. I feel very deceived and taken advantage by this moving company. They will no longer return my calls or e-mails. Additionally, the movers were very unprofessional and seemed like amateurs. They left trash in my house after the move (plastic cups with fruit punch, plastic wrap and empty tape rolls). I thought they handled my items with lack of care, fumbling and dropping items and even laughing at times. One mover, who removed his shirt to start the move, told me that where I was moving to "where all da killas at!" The movers pushed for a same day delivery and loaded all of the items into my garage late at night. The story that Paul Silgee told me on the phone about my move was wildly different than what I saw. The pricing doubled, the service was very sub-par and the movers seemed like they were subcontracted, not properly vetted or trained and they drove a Budget rental truck.

I got this company booked to move, i was quoted at 400 units of space and charged 1500$ for the move, I gave them the exact list of everything to move, I read past negative reviews but I tried it anyway, just like a past review I read, a nasty Russian showed up in a budget truck and came in and said I was going to take up 200 more units of space and I asked how because I had exactly everything on the list correct and had said 15 boxes but didnt even have that many , he said only a dryer was listed not both and itd be 1000 on top of the 1500 I was already quoted and he would have to take two trips instead of one, the truck was huge and I didnt have much stuff so that meant he had a whole other families stuff in it, I immediately picked up the phone to call the customer service and all the sudden he says no no no Ill just do it for 2200 and do it all one trip (meaning he couldnt get his third families stuff in the budget truck)still mad I call customer service and they said I had a washer and dryer on it and that I wasnt adding anything new to it so they didnt understand why he was upcharging but that If those 200units would be used hed have to show proof, I wasnt happy, 1500 is already a lot and I hadnt added a single thing to my list so I wanted the 1500 I was quoted because I was quoted for exactly what I had , and thats what I had ready on moving day so I should get the 1500 I was promised , they said they would make it 2000 total, why should I have to pay 2000 for the same items I was quoted 1500 for , didnt make sense . They obviously knew they were making my item list correct and low balling the space so itd look cheap and on moving day they could say it just happen to take more room even though the list was correct so then youre stuck paying a jacked up insane rate For A BUDGET TRUCK of rude Russians, I absolutely am not paying to be jerked around and jacked up last minute cause they low balled my space to make it look good so itd book, funny last minute when I told the driver I was canceling he said he had spotted my bongs and asked to buy a gram off me after all was said and done. This whole process was so ridiculous and then for him to ask for some bud, Ha!
