STAY AWAY! Oxford Cleaners is the worst dry cleaners imaginable. They absolutely destroyed my very expensive, Silk Chiffon wedding dress because of their incompetency, and took NO responsibility whatsoever. When I brought my wedding dress to Oxford, I told them the dress needed to be dry cleaned as the Silk Chiffon material was very, very delicately. The owner, Mrs. Lee, looked the dress over and said she would dry clean it and handle it very delicately and that it would take about 2 months for me to get it back. I gave her a $60 deposit and trusted my dress would be given back to me the way it was received. Two weeks after dropping it off, one of the employees, Claire, called me and stated that the directions on the dress said it needed to be hand washed and i said, okay, as I trusted them being the PROFESSIONALS! When my Dad picked the dress up two months later, he looked at it in the plastic and had no idea. After all, how would he know, I was the one who wore it on my wedding day! The reason I am including this is, because when I picked it up from my parents, and called Mrs. Lee she said, "you dad said it fine, so it not my fault, too bad." I was traveling at the time, so I wasnt able to bring the dress in and confront Mrs. Lee about this right away. However, once I got the dress back from my parents, I knew immediately it was not the same. I contacted Mrs. Lee right away, and asked Mrs. Lee where she got the idea to hand wash it, but she pretended and laughed at me, and kept saying, "it not my fault, its you fault, you said it okay to hand wash. ha ha i just follow instruction. No speak English," and then put Claire on the phone to handle the matter. Claire was very sweet, but had no idea what she was talking about. Mrs. Lee stated the care instructions on the dress said to hand wash, which is not TRUE! There are two labels in the dress, one which is clearly the designer label, and a label on the corset sewn in. Obviously, Mrs. Lee, is incompetent and EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL, because she followed the care instructions on the corset, which had 32 C written in large letters on it. CLEARLY, THIS IS NOT THE SIZE OF THE DRESS, so she have known immediately not to follow these instructions- it was painfully obvious that those instructions only applied to the corset. AND, really Mrs. Lee should just have called me and said she couldnt dry clean the dress because it was out of her professional realm of capability. After two weeks of none stop back and forth, Claire left a 5 minute long voice mail on my parents answering machine, even though she had my cell phone number, but they knew i wouldnt stand for their nonsense so they wouldnt call me directly. Claire stated they called the manufacturer and they said it could be hand washed. They did NOT call the manufacturer because my dress is currently with the Designer who is trying to reverse their MISTAKE. They are despicable liars and we will be suing them for ALL damages. STAY FAR, FAR AWAY FROM OXFORD CLEANERS. MRS. LEE IS UNPROFESSIONAL AND VERY OBNOXIOUS!!!!
