I currently went to this location, I was very satisfied of the level of customer service I received from from the staff of the Store. I went in for a few boxes, tape, and a few other packaging supplies. I was greeted at the store and was asked a lot of questions which enabled me to find everything I need to help complete my packing needs. Upon purchasing the Store Manager and Assistant manager thank me for my business and both shocked my hand. The also thought it be within my best interest in asking me if I needed any additional information in possibly storing with their company. They were able to right down a few storage sizes for me with prices in which I could look at when I got home and if I decided to need one not to be to hasty but come back to rent on out. I wanted to say thank you for your customer service.

This place is a joke. Anyone who has rented here before knows better than to trust these other reviews that were obviously written by the company. I have gotten stuck in the elevator here for upwards of 20 min. I have shown up and had the elevator on my side of the building not work consistently. It has been broken more times than it has worked for me. Im now writing this review as I wait for the police because they have locked the gates without checking to see if someone is still inside. Honestly find a friend who has garage Space and give them money instead of renting from these morons. They reel you in with a real nice price knowing youre not going to go to the hassle of moving your stuff out to take it somewhere else and they jack up the price every six months price increase price increase Price increase.

The managers and associates are always very friendly and professional. The storage facility and lockers are impeccably clean, and its clear that a lot of work is put into keeping the site neat and easily accessible. Michael, the site manager I believe, in particular is always ready to answer questions and provide context. Cameras cover each locker aisle and I also appreciate that the male employees seem to make an effort to make noise as they do their rounds. As a woman tidying her isolated storage closet on a usually deserted floor, I really like knowing in advance when someone is approaching and I find it considerate of them. Every staff member (male and female) Ive interacted with has been incredibly professional and helpful. Great place--I would recommend it to anyone.

This facility is poorly maintained with cumbersome access. Also, every entrance into the building has a rise - like a small curb - into the building. If youre using a cart, you cant just push the cart into the building. You have to stop, bend over and pick up the front of the cart and pull it into the building. Its difficult and annoying. Sometimes the rise is high enough that things fall off your cart when up lift up the front to pull it into the building. We had previously rented at the Green Brook, NJ facility and were expecting the same clean, well maintained type of facility with easy access. The Watchung location is nothing like this. Green Brook did not have the size we need at the time or we would have rented there. I would NOT recommend the Watchung location.

My Experience with Extra Space Storage Watching has always been Exempletory..wether by phone or on site...Michael is always kind on the phone...and the young man who works in the office, "I cant remember his name, he is African American"...always polite and informative. Ive been with this storage for 6 years...and besides the increases " of which they have modified for me more than once" I am really satisfied with them. This storage place is great! I checked out several temp storage places near Union and Edison, and finally decided to use the Watchung Extra Space due to its rate and location. Piya was the one helped me out on the paperwork and showed me everything about the unit. Everything is great, no complaint. One thing to mention, they increased the rate after several months, not much, but it is something I didnt anticipate. It is written in contract though, still acceptable.

Three Stages

Rick was very professional and knowledgeable regarding the stoarge units. He was pleasant and a joy to work with. He brings a great quality to the company that you should be very proud of. He was patient and he explained every detail of the lease. He should be rewarded for his outstanding performance. Michael was very instrumental in working with Rick to give me the best options. Michael is an execeptinal store manger.

Excellent Customer Service Experience & Very Kind The Guy Rick Scott Gave me a tour around the facility and gave me a general estimate of about how much i would be pay and what could fit inside. The prices were very affordable and he had an awesome smile and attitude. Also Michael Griffin was everything! Really enjoy his personality and the vast knowledge of the procedures and information. These Guys are the Best!!

GREAT EXPERIENCE when dealing with Extra Space Storage in Watchung, NJ. Michael & Rick couldnt be more accomodating. Secured a storage unit in Maryland for my daughters college gear. Both gentlemen communicated "effectively" with the Joppa Road MD store to ensure, our unit was reserved and secure. Super sweet experience ~ HIGHLY RECOMMEND Extra Space Storage for big/small storage needs.

Went with my friend to help her move some things into her storage unit. She was purchasing a unit and Rick was helping us. He was very friendly and was able to answer our questions thoroughly. We had some heavy things in the car that Rick helped us move. He walked with us to the storage unit and made sure we were all settled. He was wonderful ! I definitely recommend this place !

Customer service rep Rick is excellent!!! Very informative about the storage and prices. Never once felt like I had to go with what was being offered. Took the time to walk around the building showing different sizes until I was comfortable with my decision. I feel confident in my decision choosing extra storage space in Watching for my storage needs
