I visited the Deer Park Post Office for passport service. I had an appointment scheduled for 10am. When I entered through the main entrance of the building a very nice gentleman directed me to go to the back of the building where there would be a door that stated " passport" on it and we would be helped there. I was told to drive around the building and park anywhere behind the building. I did as I was told. I parked and entered through the door that said "passport" and a few moments later a rude white male entered the room and stated "You guys dont know how to read a sign? It says reserved parking", I replied "I am sorry, I can move my car". He then stated "no, its fine" and walked out of the room. He then returns, asked for the documents we brought in and begins to rudely say to my sister "you dont have the copy of your i.d and you need your parents information in this section here". I then responded that on the phone we were not told to bring a copy of her Identification; we were only told to bring a copy of her Birth certificate, the original Birth certificate and a state identification, NOT a copy of the state identification. Well this very rude employee began to raise his voice at us and stated that it is not possible and we must leave and print the identification else where. I then asked why it couldnt be printed on their printer that was behind him. He walked out without a word and went to get a lady to speak with us. She kindly expressed that they could not print it for us, but gave no reason as to why they couldnt. I was confused with this because the post office receives a $25 fee for passport service and in previous passport service from a different post office, they made the copies for me. He then walks in again and began to insult us because I had helped my sister fill in or parents information. He called us Low lives. I in defense told him he has a bad attitude and I would work with the woman who was there prior to him returning. He walked out and went to get the manager. The manager was very respectful and advised we go to the deer park library to make copies of her identification front and back, then return. We did just that. When we entered the passport room the rude individual, who I later found out his name is Ross, was there again. I stated "may I get the gentleman who helped me before, I do not want to work with you". He stated " Get him yourself." I then informed him my sister still needed her picture taken and the backdrop for the picture was in the room we were originally in. He repeated again "Go get him yourself". I sat there and called the gentleman at the front desk with my cellphone and as I was on the phone call he began to say things to my sister that I did not understand because I was on the phone at the moment , but once I was off the phone he called us "B*tches"(the explicit word for female dog) and LOW LIFE WYANDANCH PEOPLE. I told him he was a disgusting excuse of a man and had a bad attitude over a parking spot that did not have his name on it. As I was already out of the door he stood from his chair to stand in front and harass us as he yelled out " GO BACK TO WYANDANCH!! YOU LOW LIFES! " Then sarcastically yelled out "YOU ARE SUCH A GREAT PRODUCT OF WYANDANCH!" I replied back "Thank You!" He repeated called us "B*tches" ( the explicit word for female dog), once while we were sitting in front of him and then again as we were already out of the building he continued to yell insults at us. Eventually we were helped by a wonderful older woman in the front desk. I am absolutely mortified of this mans actions and will never return to this Post Office again. This incident all began because he was upset I had parked in a parking spot, I believe now, he wanted. I had originally offered to move my vehicle and was then still treated poorly. He has poor communication skills and people skills. He is not at all fit for this position. Ross is a TERRIBLE EMPLOYEE!

Lines are long & slow (employees work only in slow and stop), parking lot is too small (ding city) and staff is rude (there are more deserving hard working people out there that could use a job). Mail delivery is always late EXCEPT last Friday 1/22/2016 when the carrier knew a snowstorm was heading to NY he made sure to deliver the mail two hours early. Not a single resident within at least a 5 block radius has received mail since Friday (North Babylon residents still got their mail on Saturday). We called yesterday 1/25/2016 asking if there were mail deliveries and the rude person that answered said the letter carrier is out delivering mail (LIE!). Called again today 1/26/2016 and he repeated the letter carrier is delivering mail (ANOTHER LIE !!) he couldnt care less. This is the typical horrible customer service you expect from the Dept of Motor Vechicles. Where is the accountability? If youre so miserable at your job then leave. The USPS is hanging by a thread and unemployment is ridiculous, is being rude, slow, useless to your customers a way to conduct business? Aside from the staff, this is a great after hours post office (facility is clean and safe).

This is the only USPS location, out of the dozen or so that I have gone to these last few years, that refuses to allow me to scan tracking barcodes into my eBay account. Every other location Ive ever gone to has not only allowed me to do so, but look at me sideways when I ask if its OK to do so. This is 2016. Funny enough, if I use the self-service machine, I can scan my barcode here. I ship a lot of packages through eBay and manually entering barcode after barcode is a huge inconvenience. Please get with the times. On a positive note, I spoke with one of the managers and she was very courteous and polite. She understood my concerns and at least gave me the respect to at least consider my position.

The Passport Man is Terrific !! Sorry to say that but it is true. When me with my family were applying for passport that guy misguided us totally. Problem was with our son application. We applied for him as both his parents are citizen of USA though my son doesn’t have neither citizenship certificate nor USA birth certificate. The guy in the desk told me my son would not get the passport. We challenged him and he said he has been working in passport issue for more than 30 years and he knows better. Then I informed him people are getting passport in the same case. He replied those are stories!! Anyway still I applied and got the passport within two weeks!!

There un staff and these lady whom work are very rude . I am very un happy on how they run things . They need more people working there !!! I am so pissed off at one of these lady who trying to take my package . anyways if can I would call my cousin and have there officer take down that how much I dont like this post office . my cousin is a Dr and I am pretty sure he know how anyways if this happened again I will be nasty .youre officer is to little and once only have 2 worker like really ... I dont like who she was treating me either I would love to write a letter to something or tell my cousin happened all in this place is sucky!! and I hate it
