On October 21, 2015, my daughter was seriously injured by another child at the NYSC Deer Park childcare center. Upon bringing my concerns to General Manager, Gillian Gargiulo her initial response was not an apology but an excuse that the “regular babysitter” was not in the childcare center at the time of the incident and did not have a handle on the situation. In addition, there was no immediate investigation if any. Ms. Gargiulo response was, “I will look into it after I return from PTO" even though my daughter was visibly hurt and the babysitter in charge was definitely negligent. After following up with Ms. Gargiulo several times over a period of a month (she never followed-up with me), she said nothing could be done as this was the first time she was able to confirm inappropriate behavior by this child. On November 21, 2015, when I refused to place my children in the childcare center again due to NYSCs negligence, Ms. Gargiulo berated me on the gym floor in front of many other customers and my children. She said there was nothing else that could be done regarding my situation and further went on to say “Children get injured!” Upon making that statement, she walked away from me while I was talking to her which was very unprofessional. Upon requesting cancellation for such poor customer service, I was therefore, surprised to be billed a $39.95 cancellation fee. I was a loyal customer with NYSC for many years. This is a reprehensible organization that people really should steer clear of.

As others have stated, good equipment and nice employees until you want to cancel or have an issue. Was charged annual fee second month attending. When cancelling, the manager told me I wouldnt be charged and I would get a email regarding the cancellation. The next month and weeks later I got charged, also she never sent the email the day of. When I brought up the situation to her she acted like I never requested a cancellation, lied to my face and started getting overly rude with me. No where near satisfied and their customer service is horrible. Any other reputable company and crew of employees wouldve refunded me that months payment OR, when the annual fee was charged they wouldve refunded those fees and offered something to keep myself, the customer satisfied and also obviously I couldve left a positive recommendation. I leave this place with disgust and management should HAVE BEEN removed. I wouldnt spend my earned money with this company again and neither should you. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. Theres plenty other gyms you could spend 40-60 a month for and wont get shafted and they probably have better customer service. Dont listen to the positive posts if your thinking of joining,If they actually checked their bank statements, theyd know theyve been overcharged the whole time

Just transferred to this location about 3 weeks ago with the intention of going to the gym after I get out of work at 9. Have been doing 9:15-11 for over a year at the other facility and was happy this location stayed open until 11 as well. It turns out that out of nowhere they changed there hours of operation to close at 10 without even notifying their clients...you get emails every week from nysc and I guess changing facility hours does not deem an email, which is insane. Paid $50 for a transfer fee and 3 weeks later they pull this stunt and then tell me I would have to pay another transfer fee if I wanted to go to a different location...what!?!? How is it the clients fault the company is not making enough money to leave the facility open for an extra hour!?!? I know gyms always do sheisty stuff but I thought nysc was different...I was proven wrong.

I would like to give this business zero stars. I just canceled two memberships. Problem is that I was charged $60 for two cancelation fees. Bigger problem is that I was never told there was a policy of cancelation fees. Apparently my electronic signature that I thought was for the use of my debit card was attached to a contract. A contract that I was never told existed. A contract that I didnt get a copy of until today. The day I went in to complain. The man at the front desk - Sal - was rude and very sarcastic with me. The general manager - Jill - was not helpful at all. In fact, she handled the cancelation of the two memberships and never told me then about cancelation fees. As far as I am concerned, they stole $60 from me. Think long and hard and ask a lot of questions before signing up with them.

Sad to see this club go so far downhill. The amenities initially with my membership, such as towel service, no longer exist. Cardio machines are old and shake while running. The pool is over-chlorinated. Weight machines have missing pegs for 5/10lb weights and some are just out of order. The mat/stretch area is right next to the main class room, so when Zumba is going on, the floor shakes horribly - not conducive to calming cool downs. The barre room is locked unless there is a class, which is a waste of a good space. Weightlifters grunt and throw down all the time; business calls take place on the floor; the staff does nothing. Parking is a pain after work/weekends/holidays as its in the outlet center. Im currently looking for a new gym. Such a shame.

This place is a Rip off they get you in on a come on...special of 19.95 per month then have their payments linked to your Bank acct or Credit card and then they charge you the regular rate of $ 59.95 they play games for months trying to not let you leave ! they usually have 5-6 people daily looking to get out of their contract as they find the gym is a Rip-OFF! they lie and do anything to not have you cancel membership! only thing the manager hides so you cannot cancel you will come to the front counter dozens of times before they will take you seriously...and then if they owe you $ months go by and they dont send check of reimbursement for monies happened to my friends and countless others STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE CERTIFIED CROOKS :(

The staff here is extremely unprofessional. I cancelled my membership because I was returning back to school but I was told by a member of their staff that I can continue using their facility until the end of August. So when I went to use the gym I was told that I was no longer a member and that my membership was cancelled incorrectly. There was no apology from the manager nor the employee helping me. Their staff not only dont know what they are doing, they also make inappropriate comments that leave me uncomfortble when I leave and enter the gym. A majority of their machines are also out of order and are not very clean. I would definitley not sign up for this gym it will leave you digusted and frustrated.

-What pisses me off the most is that they rent out the basketball court to people who reserve it. I pay for my membership i should never be denied access to what I pay for -took away towels -1 squat rack -2 benches -pool is WASTED space -They probably have some 27 year old who whips down my sweat for a living doing the text to rejoin the gym. When I told him why I quit he thinks its funny to continue sending me the promotion. His number is right on top please feel free to have him whip your sweat. -gym closes at 10 M-F and & on weekends what a joke
