By Judy Mastro August 26, 2010 As a homeowner most of my life, I cringed at the thought of storage facilities as they kept popping up all over Long Island. The picture in my mind of an unkept guy sitting behind a desk with a cigar in his mouth and rats running around the halls kept me away from ever wanting to set foot in a storage facility. But then, one day, I needed a storage area. My boss had passed away. He had no family, I was with him for over 20 years and I was left to clean out the office. I still kept shying away from these so called "storage facilities". I was checking garages, basement space, moving facilities, etc., everything but storage facilities. I was unhappy with everything I checked out. I decided to go to Extra Space Storage and of course, made my husband go with me out of fear. Much to my surprise, it was well lit, nicely furnished and there was a well-kept man behind the desk (no cigar !) Everything was so clean and neat. That man was James, and he was not only helpful and informative, but took the time to show us each unit to help me determine the size I may need, made suggestions like climate control since I had many files to store, and overall I felt like he cared about my situation. Well, needless to say I now have two units and am working on getting my third. It seems that now I look for items to store, i.e., cleaning out the house because now I have a place to put those items to store. My husband says my new favorite line is "well, we will just put it in storage!" I recommend storage to everyone now, but specifically that they should see James and Yanina. It was my pleasure to write this review.

I have stored my personal and house furniture at this facility for many yesrs. My history with the facility located in Kings Park has been stellar. Not only is the property immaculate with easy access to my unit - but the storage garage is kept clean without vermin or debris. Knowing that I will be greeted with a friendly face and kind people, who run the facility, makes using it a pleasure. There are times in life when a place to store your belongings is a necessity. Numerous times when I needed such a place, Ive always returned to the Kings Park location. Both Jim and Yanina always greet me with a smile, are pleasant, respectful, and accommodating. Ive often wondered if the company realizes how lucky they are to have this couple represent the company. When I learned that I could post my feedback about my experience - I jumped at this opportunity! "Bravo Jim and Yanina" for making people feel welcomed and valued during difficult times. I recently went into this location to pick up a 10x10 unit for professional purposes. I called up and spoke with the assistant manager who informed me that there was only one 10x10 left and they were going relatively quickly, she then informed me that since I was going to come down that day she would reserve the unit for me, which was super helpful considering I needed the unit that day. When I arrived on site I was greeted but the assistant manager and the manager who were both extremely amiable. They were able to fulfill every requirement that I had same day and I was out of the office within 15 minutes! I would definitely recommend this location to a friend or family member. Taylor

The staff at Extra Space Storage in Kings Park, NY, are BY FAR the BEST IN THE COUNTRY!! James and Yannina know exactly how important great customer service is and they practice it on a daily basis. I have been dealing with them for 2 years now and they are always so helpful and accommodating. If you are looking for a great place to store your belongings, LOOK NO FURTHER! DON"T EVEN THINK TWICE about giving your business to anyone else. You may regret it. I am VERY THANKFUL for the amazing customer service that they have provided me. My experience at Extra Space Storage (on Indian Head Road in Kings Park, NY) has always been pleasant and satisfying. The representatives - James Bambick and his wife Yanini are so nice and so professional. They go over, above and beyond to take care of my needs. I am really satisfied that you have those 2 people in there as you couldnt have selected 2 better people for the job. Thanks to them, my belongings are safely stored and they take care of the place which is immaculate all the time. Thank you James and Yanini for being there.

A company is just a company, unless its Extra Space Storage in Kings Park. The owners, James and Janina are a hard-working couple with big hearts. Janina is very personable and remembers me each time I see her, she asks about my kids and always greets me with a smile. Its that personal touch that means a lot to me. The facility is clean, safe, well lit and there was never a problem with snow removal. Ive rented 3 units so far and each time it was a pleasure dealing with James and Janina. I would definitely recommend Extra Space Storage.

I have been using Extra Space Storage, Kings Park for the past 51/2 Years. The manager, James & his wife, Yanina, are very professional & sincerely concerned with the needs of their renters. As a senior citizen, James, has assisted me with moving boxes & also helped me rearrange boxes. This is an example of him going above & beyond the duties of a manager. I highly recommend this facility for storing your precious "stuff" that has so much sentimental value. Youll know it is stored in a safe, clean & well lite facility.

A+ Great facility and even better people. They are so kind, pleasant and helpful. I am a pharmaceutical sales rep so I access my unit a few times per week and I couldnt ask for better service. I get deliveries to the storage facility weekly, sometimes more, and I am notified immediately; they even hold my boxes and packages for me for days if I cant get there. My unit is climate controlled and the parking lot is always plowed. The only reason I would ever leave this facility is if my territory changed for work.

I moved in with my girlfriend to a fairly small place so we needed somewhere to store all of our extra stuff that we dont need to use all the time and Extra Space was not only the closest place but also the cheapest place. To top it off the staff was friendly and the facility is very clean and well lit at night. The only negative is that sometimes it would be useful if I could access my stuff after 10PM but its rare that Ill need to do that. Also you get a discount if you book it online.

A very well run storage facility. The units and office are clean and the roads are well maintained. The managers are courteous, professional, and very accommodating. They make every effort to make you feel welcome and your needs attended to. You can access your unit from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM all week long so its easy to get to your stuff before or after work. Ive been a customer there for almost a year and I would highly recommend this facility to all, including friends and family.
