After searching a 1/2 dozen facilities, I stumbled upon Uncle Bobs. Upon arrival, I was impressed with the property and the security system they have in place. The staff is extremely helpful, courteous and polite and they were able to answer all of my questions on top of giving me a personal guided tour of the facility and the storage units. The grounds and the storage units themselves are very clean and secure. There are freight elevators and dollies on the premises to assist you at your disposal; the upkeep on the property is immaculate maintained and after a year and a half, it is the greatest deal compared to other facilities I investigated which could not even come close in any comparison . I highly recommend this secure clean facility to anyone seeking a storage unit. This facility is a win/win.

As far as renting the unit and the unit itself, its fine. The people that work at the Mahopac location are very nice and helpful. However, if you pay them one day late, they will not accept your check unless it has the $15 late charge included in the amount. I emailed the corporate office and the person there called me, and still would not waive the late fee. They are totally unreasonable, told me I was locked out of my unit until I brought them the $15 check. That was the first time I was late and it was only by one day! Cant wait to move my stuff out. Will never use them again!

Was just in the office getting prices for boxes and tape for a few items I need to ship at end of month. Was impressed with how clean the office was and how polite and professional the staff member, Nick, I believe, was in helping me price out items Im going to need. My cousin may need storage unit in the near future, so I asked Nick if he could show me some of the more common, smaller, storage sizes. He gladly took me on tour of facilities and I got a much better idea of the space sizes by looking at them. If my cousin still needs storage I will definitely recommend this location.

I have rented this unit for about 3 or 4 years, the service is very good but beware. Once you fill your unit the rent goes up every year. The last year my rent went up $30.00 . Also beware of late charges, you do get a complimentary pass on late charges but that is one time in the entire time you rent. My power has been out due to Hurricane sandy and somehow I have not received a bill or the complimentary phone call they are kind enough to provide for you in case you are late. Hence my late payment, but sorry no break in the late charge. Advice ,store only temporalily

Best storage facility in the area and surrounding areas. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and reliable. The prices cant be beat for the location and the location is ideal for a storage facility. It is a very secure location that is ideal for security and safety. Cant ask for anything else in a storage facility. In addition it is very clean and very well maintained.

Nick was great just now. He beat the price I found down the street and offered wonderful customer service (which is hard to find these days). He was thorough yet fast, efficient and friendly. I would definitely recommend calling him before you make an storage decisions in Mahopac - Im sure hell give you a good deal.

I used storage for first time with uncle Bobs. Could not believe how easy the whole process was start to finish. This place was lighted, had great prices, staff was helpful and know their stuff. Would rent here again and definitely would recommend to anyone needing storage.

These guys are the greatest. ive had the misfortune of having to move several times. they always have trucks. the trucks are clean and the help is great. if you need storage or to rent a truck use them.
