I used this place 2 years ago. I reserved a unit online and when I showed up with my own lock, they tried to sell me another with the logic that if both locks were on, then they couldnt padlock the unit if I ever failed to pay my rent (LOL). Yes, they were trying to have me buy a lock from them with the pretext that I could potentially fail to pay my rent. I told them that I only needed to use the unit for exactly one month. Since I first moved in in the middle of the month, they decided to charge me for one and a half months rent. I found this out later on after my credit card had already been charged. When I brought this to the attention of the manager there, he refused to partially refund me a half months rent even though I had already moved out. This was especially galling since he was the one I had spoken to about only needing the unit for 4 weeks. While its location on Sunrise Hwy is convenient, you have to enter through the rear entrance, which has no parking lot. The loading area in the rear only fits two cars and is covered with pigeon excrement. Not only that, but the loading entrance is on a sharp incline, meaning that if you had to use a dolly to carry stuff, you would need someone to hold it while you can enter your code. The doors close too quickly if you were entering alone. One time, after punching in my code, I had to chase the dolly down an incline and it narrowly avoided hitting someone elses car! Between the poorly built facility and managements bad attitude, Id recommend using the other facility in Rockville Centre.

From the website to the facility my girlfriend and I have had a carefree experience. This by far was the simplest sign up Ive done for anything in the last few years. The website is fantastic I locked my rate in through the website and went to the facility shortly after. As I was walking into the facility the associate was calling my phone to confirm when I was going to come in. From walking into the doors I was greeted with enthusiasm and smiles from both associates. Trini was extremely helpful showed us around the facility,took us to the storage was attentive in asking if this was going to fit all my needs and what types of items I would be storing. When returning to the front desk he went through all of the paperwork explained every detail and didnt rush through everything. It was so reassuring, I didnt feel like I was being rushed out. The other woman working with him (I wish I remembered her name) was so warming and I noticed how fantastic she greeted everyone on the phone. Needless to say everything was exceptional. This was truly by far the best customer service experience I have ever received. Trini really answered all of my questions and just was fantastic.

I walked in on July 31, 2014 with a reservation I made online for a 5 x 10 unit. Two young ladies at the desk both friendly. I believe Cristina? showed me the unit. I suspected it might be too small, but money is tight. I asked to see a bigger one. After she wrote all the paperwork and I signed - I started to move a few things into it. And realized it would be too small. She very patiently rewrote the paperwork for the bigger one. In addition the public storage site took a larger payment from me that was scheduled - in error. When I called I again spoke with Cristina. Who assured me that she would speak to her boss. After a few days that extra payment was credited back to me. I dont remember the name of the young lady who worked alongside Cristina on 7/31- but she was also very pleasant. This public storage site is very well represented with these 2 young ladies.

Just leased our first Storage Container ever. You are lucky to have Adis as your Manager in Rockville Centre. He was professional, courteous, knowledgeable and friendly throughout the process. He answered all of my questions fully and clearly and offered whatever assistance we may need during our storage experience. Should anyone ask me for a good Storage facility, My answer will be The Rockville Centre Public Storage ! Also, if you need any packing or storage supplies - they have whatever you would need at reasonable prices.

Made my reservation online, got a pretty good deal. Tabatha helped me with my paperwork and showed me the unit, told me everything I need to know about it and then some. She was absolutely fantastic and very helpful!! The facility is clean, the unit is easily accessible and Im really pleased with my decision to store my belongings at this PS in Rockville Centre. Thanks for making my first storage experience a pleasant and smooth one! :)

Very easy and pleasant experience. Gianni was very helpful and specific with information and answers to questions. She made sure I understood everything, and double checked that I had all my info set before I left. Its nice to deal with someone with a smile and a sense of humor. Ive gone a few times now and its an easy experience. No issues getting in or using a trolley either. The automatic sensor lights are a nice touch too.

Tabatha and Dakeena were great. We made multiple visits to the location to review the spaces against others. Ultimately we ended up reserving the location online, but when the space we reserved was found to have an obstruction in it (an entire building column through the middle of the room), they were ahead of the game and took the initiative to change us to a better room at the same cost. We are very grateful :) Thanks!

Brenda was a great help. She took the time to show me several units so that we can located the one closest to the elevator... She is very knowledgeable of all products and the unit locations... Very friendly and out going. I had reserved a unit but it was not at the right location close to the elevator.. She helped me find one perfect size and next to the elevator. I will definitely recommend the place....

The 5 Star rating is based on staff. CAROLINA was exceptionally understanding and supportive. She reviewed unit options and went the "extra mile" to make sure I had a unit that fit my needs. The facility is clean and maintained. However, several doors stick and do not lock themselves upon closing. Additionally, they have a VERY limited system for borrowing carts to move your storage items.

Catherine is AMAZING! Seriously, after being led around in circles by corporate customer services... she got me back on the right track and fixed everything within minutes! Both Catherine and Lisa are courteous, helpful and welcoming. I am very appreciative to have them supporting customers. If it was up to their corporate services, I would no longer be a customer there.

I have been with Public Storage for a few months now and the staff and building are great. The building is kept clean with excellent hours and the two young ladies at the counter are always very helpful. Public Storage has made my storage experience very easy and safe, I would recommend this location to anyone looking for storage.

Carolina was AMAZING I have been a customer for a few years.I got a call about a concern about my space Carolina was the only person to go and take the time and go and ensure my space was ok I am not in town and she took a very big lode off my shoulders. I would really recommend Carolina customer service to anyone she is great.
