There is a crook in this Post Office or a very incompetent staff. I sold an item on Ebay for $845. I have sold many items for the same price and I have NEVER had a problem until I had to send a package to this post office. On the tracking notes, it said that there was no secure location to leave the package but I had paid for a signature confirmation. Also, the mail carrier NEVER left a notice. So the buyer had to go down to the post office and inquire about his package. USPS employee told buyer that his package was lost. The buyer filed for a refund. So I was left on my own to investigate and file a complaint. No one ever answers the phone at this post office, and if they do, they are no help because all they do is ask for the tracking number and tell you what the tracking says. They dont know what else to tell you. The package is lost. When I called consumer affairs in Los Angeles California, they were more helpful and advised me to call New York Ozone Park consumer affairs because that was the USPS location that lost my package. When I finally got a call back from the representative for New York Ozone Park consumer affairs, I explained my situation and gave her my tracking number. She said she would investigate and she would give me a call back. I call back 3 weeks later, so she can lied to me and said that she left a message on my voicemail. I never received a message from her. Then she told me that she spoke to the manager of the office and they said the package could not be found. So that was just it, I had to file a claim and get $50 back for an item that cost me $845. Even consumer affairs would not investigate. When I called 1 800 ASK USPS, they were more helpful than the consumer affair lady at New York. Customer service told me that when the carrier submitted on tracking website that there was no secure place to leave the package, it was not scanned and it was manually put into the system. So the consumer affairs lady couldnt even question the carrier. These people are a joke and they do not care about your missing goods. I will not STOP investigating until I get my package back. Someone is responsible for my package.

Ive been waiting for a package that states it was delivered on the 18th. Ive been to the post office quite a few times. The first time I went my information was taken down and was told that a manager would get back to me. Well thank god Im not holding my breath. Showed up on a Saturday only to be told that I would have to talk to a manager whos only there between the hours of 11:30 to 12:30 ( I need that job). With planning my wedding I have appointments lined up and cant wait at the post office till the "Manager" decides to stroll in. I work during the week and cant keep coming in late trying to go talk to a manager thats apparently NEVER THERE!!! Im stressed enough with my upcoming wedding and this should be the least of my worries. Your service sucks and its totally unacceptable. Post office of Ozone Park please get your act together as for the comments below I see some things dont change.

Worse post office ever! Mail carriers constantly screwing up your mail. And dont get me started on packages. Ive been to this post office a couple of times because my packages werent being delivered or ended up at someone elses address. How is this even possible when the address appears on your package. Once again Im dealing with a package that supposably attempted to be deliverered when I personally saw the mail carrier minutes before and in front of my home delivering my mail and she told me she had a package. I waited and waited and waited and she never came back. Online it states that she attempted to deliver which was all lies. Im so sick of it these mail carriers they need more training or another job!

The service is the worst they are lazy.So is the manager/supervisor.she sits in the back and does not care what gos on.she allows there behavior. she has no strengths to run the place.Things need to change asap.our local mailman is terrible he is misplacing our mail and leaves that mailbox open to everyone for days with our personal information. such as bank statements etc. we are tired and need better service these people are getting pay $$$ like really?please enforce better service your workers are always on there cellphones and music coming from their carrier cart and packages for p.o.box is being place after 2-3pm and we are paying for service. I strong y believe they need to be monitor and retrain.

Im not sure how this post office even operates since the carriers dont do their job. Most of my packages come from Amazon and as a prime member I expect them to be delivered within two days since I pay for membership. Packages dont get delivered on the guaranteed deliver date and there is no way of knowing if the carrier even bothered to try to deliver it. I get notifications from Amazon which say that my package has been delivered, yet its not there when Im home. Either the carriers arent doing their job or they are stealing. Whatever the case is, dont expect any of your Amazon packages being delivered by this post office.

I moved here 6 months ago and they already lost 3 of my packages worth over $200 of goods. I went to the office and there is never any manager available to speak to while forcing you to deal with the website or 1 800 number directly like if they are there for nothing. Through my surveillance system i discovered that a chunky courier with glasses scans my mailbox bar code and delivers my ebay items to the wrong addresses. I try to file a claim online and I cant for whatever postage reasons. Horrible post office and service- stay away!!

One of the worst post post office I ever been to . Staff is very lazy and they honestly dont care . I dont understand how usps could let this happen . They are a world wide company and this should not be acceptable . I feel very upset to the way the staff took care of me with no respect at all . Every time I get a package they get upset because they dont to get up from their seats . I hope the district manager resolves this situation because this is exceptable , I hope they hire a complete new staff

Ive made an appointment to apply for a PassPort at 9:00AM now when Im here the clerk says my appointment is at 10:20AM. I explained when I called my appointment was made for 9:00AM, she repeated herself continuously saying it was 10:20, talking to me like I was a little child. I never live the Post Office because their workers have horrible attitude, and their service sucks. So now I have to wait one hour to apply for my passport.

post office is horrible they dont answer the phone when you call. They do not ring the bell when you have a package and most of the time they just leave it on the door step and if it goes missing they blame it on you and when they actually do take it back to the post office they leave the tracking as delivered and you wont ever know unless you go in. worst post office i know i wouldnt even give them one star
