My mom and I drove from NYC and she helped me buy my first car from some guy we knew in the area. As Im driving around in it for the first time, I see Midas and I thought, "Hey, let me go on a little shopping spree for my new car" because I still had some money left over. Not knowing the slightest thing about cars or how to take care of them (Youtube tutorials are no help, by the way.) I walked in and I saw some guy who almost instantaneously greeted me at and door and introduced himself as Dino. He helped me buy all the things I needed for the car and even took it upon himself to give me tips and suggestions for the exact model and year of the car I bought. Thanks to Dino and everyone at Midas, my car might not be the best ride in NYC, but its certainly the best ride for me and its all definitely in better condition that how I originally bought all because of my tendency to shop on impulse and obviously because of the help I got. Now that Im back at NYC I have to go back to using the YouTube tutorials. Wish people helped like this in NYC.

This is a Great place! Went in cranky came out happy. First the price was cheaper than the Quote, Second I was a jerk and they continued to be friendly, "Should say the Team!" They work well together. In fact they get the Team ball Today!! Fast Friendly service, I came once before, Again fast! This is the first review I have ever made! Very impressed with skill of the Inspector, Manager Team players! I mean Team!!! I offered to buy them lunch and I never do that EVER! My Mechanic * Midas * Happiness! I mean they can fix other things but my Mechanic Im loyal too, these guys do every thing else from now on! I give them FIVE stars Because they Earned it and Deserve it! They have Great Morale it Really adds to The Customer Experience Your car can and will love the Midas touch! I sure did! The General PS. "MGR knows how to make sauce" "Great Karma"

This shop did a really great job. I am typically skeptical of auto shops, but this one changed my mind. From the customer service to the professionalism of the employees work, this shop earned the 5 stars. Imran was the gentleman that took care of me and he was very thorough in inspecting my car and making the necessary recommendations. The pricing is very fair and time to fix was very fast. Imran took my car in the shop as soon as I arrived. Its a shame that I dont live in this area. Otherwise Id go here all the time. I would recommend this shop to anyone. Thank you Midas and Imran for a pleasant experience!!

Truly exceptional group of guys. Was visiting my son in Schenectady when my wifes car started having major issues. What I thought was going to be a nightmare ended up being a pleasant experience. Dino and his team at Midas on State St had my wifes car back on the road in under two hours. The dealer could not get the repairs done before Monday and the other local shops were not confident enough to work on her Audi. I told my son to service his car at Schenectady Midas from now on. Reasonable prices, courteous professionals, and high levels of talent. A big thank you to Dino and Patrick!

Awesome guys at state street Midas took care of my NY state inspection needs after other mechanic shops couldnt figure it out. I dropped in without an appointment and I was out with a passed inspection sticker in under 20 minutes. Very clean, professional, and the nicest waiting area I have ever seen in a mechanic shop. Felt like a doctors office...for my car. When they finish fixing your car, they park your car at the waiting area door ready for you to drive off into the sunset. #awesome. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. Ill be returning for all my car maintenance needs.

BIG Thank You to Jim and Dino at Schenectady Midas. I was driving from Seekonk, MA on my way to Cleveland, OH when my dashboard alerted me of a tire problem. I pulled off of I90 and called Midas and even though they were about to close, they insisted that I bring the car in to see what was wrong. They checked the tires and pressure and turns out that I might have a faulty sensor. I tried to offer money for taking time to put the car on the lift but they said have a safe trip and wished us well. Thank you so much! Susanna Silva

Thank you for the generosity, Midas! My wifes car had a flat tire yesterday. I went to Midas in Schenectady on State Street with the damaged tire. They immediately started to work on repairing the tire damage and installed it back on the car. While I was standing there waiting to make the payment, I was told "Dont worry about it. Its free.". I was so surprised and had to ask them to repeat what they said. This generous help from Midas employees completely changed my mood and made my day. Thank you so so so much Midas!

Not a real Midas! This specific spot stripped bots on my car when CHANGING THE OIL. Only reason I didnt was the fact I did not have a car during the winter season. additionally they left lugs loose on 2 of my wheels. Charged me for balancing, but all the tires were filled at completely random levels (one tire was at max PSI while the sibling wheel wasnt even at the minimum). Better off heading up rt.7 to the other Midas, they at least offer you coffee and an estimated time of when your vehicle will be completed.

This is what every driver should look for. Expert Mechanics that wont just give you an oil change for a great price, but will top off the fluids & go through your car. You get an honest detailed account of how everything is doing. They even checked my cabin filter which isnt easy and showed it to me. They gave me a price and time. It was an easy decision because it was beyond need of replacement. They make it easy to take care of your car... which is just plain awesome.

Why take your car to Midas if there is Cole Muffler/Brake across the street from this Midas. You will leave with something else wrong with your car. The mechanics there do not know what they are doing. Ive taken my car there once and I left with another issue. And they are money driven. I went there with a Brake problem I had to go back cos my Tire wasnt put in right and the Brake pad wasnt installed correctly. Go somewhere else for your own good.

Just waned to write a quick review about the state st midas i went to the other day. I needed an oil change and didnt know where to go. I was told by a friend that this midas was excellent. From the minute I walked in the door they were friendly and didnt make me feel intimidated!! I believe the mans name who helped me was Imran, he was awesome!! You guys have an excellent work team there!

Recently got new brake pads and rotors to repair grinding squeaking noise. They put new parts on and now the new parts are squeaking. We have been waiting about 20 minutes there seems to be only 3 people and all of them are working on 1 car. I came back because they told me my bolts will need to be tightened because of they put new parts on . No one was at the desk even when we came .
