-Update- $1400.00 estimate was fixed elsewhere with $80.00 in parts plus $100.00 labor. Also, when the car was returned to my possession, the plugs, wires, splash guard, etc. were left as a disconnected mess. It was not appreciated. Perhaps the crew missed a step and were convinced that the $1400.00 job was necessary. The difference between the real cost elsewhere and the estimate here is so large that I am suspicious. If it was a mistake, it was a pretty huge one for a professional. I do not offer one star because they were quick to get back to me, had a professional demeanor on the phone. -Original Post- Old faithful wouldnt start yesterday morning. Adam referred me to a tow truck, who showed up within 30 mins to haul my ride up to the shop. I had a full work up of diagnostics by 3 the same day. Couldnt afford the bill to rebuild it (not worth it on such an old ride), so I cant speak to the work that would have been done. The phone ettiquette, speed, and straight-talk impressed me, though.

Look, I dont know anything about vehicle maintenance other than the obvious, change the oil and keep good tires and brakes on the car. My car gave me no trouble for five years and then one day BOOM like ten different things started going wrong. At this point it had been so long since I had gone to a Mechanic I had no idea where to go!! I took my little Reebok Tennishoe looking car to these fellas and let me just tell you.... WOW. I wasnt talked down to or treated like a dumb blonde but in the same sense they spoke to me based off of MY LEVEL OF KNOWLDGE. There is more than plenty of patience with these gentlemen and let me just add I COULD ACTUALLY AFFORD THIS EXPERTISE! I dont post google review comments ever, except that one time about poor service at Pomodoros but thats besides the point. Bottom line..... choosing Sweeten Creek Automotive was the best decision I have made in the past 5 years. Thanks Guys!

I took my lifted 88 Jeep Wrangler to these guys after being told outrageous prices and, exorbitant list of what had to be fixed by other shops in the area. Not only were they straight forward about what had to be done but and ONLY what had to be done the prices were very fair. They acomplished the work in no time at all and am happy with the results, my Jeep runs better than ever. Even when I found out that I would need a new carburetor and wouldnt be able to afford it right then, they offered a financing option that was really affordable. Very helpful and professional people. I would highly recommend them to any other Jeep owner (or any make/model for that matter). I will be back to have all my work done here. Thanks guys.

Adam Grassette, the owner of Sweeten Creek Automotive, went above and beyond for me and my family. He is our mechanic of choice, so when I found myself with a minivan that wouldnt start near 5 pm on a Friday in my daughters preschool parking lot, I called him. He asked me some troubleshooting questions. When nothing worked, said he would be over shortly. He came to her school, jump started my van (twice), called a nearby auto parts store to tell them what I would need and followed me to be sure I made it there. If this kind of customer service doesnt sound familiar when you think of your mechanic, maybe you should try Sweeten Creek Automotive.

While in Asheville my truck came up with a check engine light. After going to get it diagnosed it turned out that my knock sensors were out. After calling around, I had a hard time finding anyone that could replace them within a week, never mind at an affordable price. Adam and his mechanics too great care of me. Since I was leaving to travel cross country I asked if they could check and make sure nothing looked obviously wrong and it would make it. Ended up one of my tie rods had the play of a bobblehead to it, so they replaced that a couple days late, too. Id go to them any time. Adam is a top notch guy.

Adam has gone above and beyond to give me the lowest prices, explain exactly whats going on and what my options are, and I am confident I will be safe on the road and if I have any problems, the shop will take care of it ASAP without overcharging me. My dads a mechanic so he always guides me in what to ask about and look for, and after several visits I feel like I can trust these guys to know what theyre doing and give me a fair price. Also, my car has over 250,000 miles so I am glad to know theres someone nearby that will keep her going as long as she can!

My car broke down while I was on vacation in Asheville. I had it towed to Sweeten, and they were phenomenal! They had it diagnosed and repaired in less than a day and kept us updated the whole way. Their communication was great. It turned out to be a faulty tensioner and water pump from recent work I had done at my local dealership. They coordinated with the dealership on payment which was great. Sweeten and the dealership made a stressful situation much easier for me to deal with. I wish I lived here so they could be my mechanics.

While vacationing in Asheville our CRV experienced an electrical issue . Honda service couldnt get to it for four days! My husband is disabled so we were literally stuck! I went to Autozone and Richard referred me to Sweeten Creek automotive. What a blessing! Adam was able to diagnose my problem and was kind enough to fix it on the spot. He was also so nice and very helpful and wouldnt take any money for the service. If we lived in Ashville we would certainly use Sweeten Creek Automotive for all of our car service.

The guys at Sweeten Creek Automotive are top notch. I depend on my vehicle to run my business and when I took it in to have it serviced, they found some pretty big issues like a leaking water pump and a worn out timing belt. Adam kept my vehicle over the weekend and provided me with a company car until my vehicle was fixed. Excellent work, high quality replacement parts and fair prices.
