Definitely not a good experience. I ordered a patio set from WalMart and tracked it via the information the store provided.Stayed home all day that day because tracking said that the item was out for delivery - only to find after checking the tracking website later that it couldnt be delivered that day. No problem - made an appt. with Pilot for another day, stayed home again waiting for delivery. This time, got a call that morning that they were on the way, but when the driver arrived, he took the (very large and very heavy) box off the truck, put it down on the ground in the parking lot, told my husband he could not take the box upstairs, and left. Mind you, we live on the THIRD FLOOR. No assistance, did not carry the box upstairs to deliver it to our door, said he couldnt carry it because they werent supposed to take boxes upstairs. After waiting additional days for delivery, it was really insulting for a delivery person to not complete the job - actually DELIVERING the package to our door. Ive never, ever heard of a delivery service just dropping off a huge box in a parking lot and then refusing to bring it to the customers door, regardless of the floor they live on. Either Pilot needs to give their drivers more assistance for larger packages, or dont accept the payment larger stores are giving you to do a complete job of delivering. I really hope WalMart goes back to using UPS soon. We have NEVER had a ridiculous experience like this - and hopefully we will never have to use Pilots delivery services again. This was really sub-par at best.

Apparently Walmart uses this shipping company for their larger items purchased from their website. After 2 weeks of not receiving the order, we called Walmart and conference called in Pilot Shipping. The woman who represented Pilot shipping was awful. She was rude, yelled and screamed at me, the customer on the phone, for asking a simple question. She screamed..." I am talking to WALMART!" Wow talk about customer service. They lied and told Walmart that they had called us to arrange shipment, which never happened. I diligently checked my caller ID, kept the phone near me at all times, and ensured that Walmart had my correct contact information. During the extremely rude phone call, Pilot admitted they only had 2 boxes and not the full order. Pilot should really keep that lady off the phone and maybe move her to a department where she does not deal with the public. I will be sending a letter to Walmart and inform them of the Pilots lies and rude behavior toward a customer and will never order from Walmart again due to this incident.

Im in a movie theater when this place calls to do a delivery. I call them back once I get outside the movie rooms but have no 4g internet but have reception to call. Some guy answers and asks for the tracking # and I tell him I cannot get it due to internet after he tells me he cant look me up by anything else but then says he can by name. Long story short he pulls my delivery up and then asks me to write down the tracking # at which point I tell him I have it at home and he then laughs and says "ok so you said you didnt have it but you do have it OKKKKay" Then puts me on hold and says he can do Wednesday. I just said OK and hung up. Im not going to be incenuated as a liar by some low life minimim wage trash. Hes lucky I dont drive an hour in person to Charlotte and wait for him to get off work at 5.. rude ahole. Im going to call the company I purchased from and suggest they never do business with these aholes again. Condecending twit should be fired.

1860 called and they want their shipping service back. 12 days to ship from East Tennessee to Charlotte, NC. Wow - i know amazon sets the bar high, but even the post office does it in 1/4th the time to ship across the country. Over 2 weeks from ordering the item and I finally received it. The vendor i purchased from will certainly hear me complain regarding this since they said it was to arrive a week ago. What a mess. Will not use this company for shipping again. Good thing it was a neighboring state, could only imagine how long it would take from further away!

Eh.... Not my favorite. They are more personable than the bigger shippers but no more friendly or customer focused.
