First off let me say DO NOT GO HERE. Randy is the worst person you could talk to. The other workers are alright, but Randy is the worst. Not only will he waste your time, but hell have an attitude while he does it. Ive been a lovely customer with Firestone, but Ive only been going to this one for a few months, and in that time Ive been disappointed time after time. First off I went to get new tires. The price wasnt bad, but in the end who ever put my tires back on did not secure my lug nut cover plate to the rim correctly, and the next day I woke up to find that two of them had fallen off. I had to take it back and have them replace it. Later on I needed to get my car inspected so regrettably I took it to this Firestone. I understood that my tail light needed to be replaced which was fine. But they also told me that I needed a new serpentine belt, a new tail light, some other random light on my car and also new wiper blades. The light was fine and so was the belt and the small light, but what really got me was the wiper blades and the time it took for them to inspect my car. I had bought some of the really expensive Rain-X wipers not too long before my car was inspected. But my wiper blades were a reason they failed my car. An inspection takes at most around 35 minutes. I took them almost an hour and a half to get my car done, and when they came to talk to me about it they still werent finished jerking me around. I was told oh Im sorry maam but Ive been looking up parts and prices for you for the last 40 minutes or so. Before this point no one had EVER come out to talk to me about my car or what it needed to pass inspection. Randy was the person who wasted my time. Randy is the one who decided he could just take almost an hour out of my day without doing as much as coming to talk to me when it failed. On top of all of this (without one of the parts) they wanted OVER 400 dollars. I got it all done for less than 96 bucks. And to add insult to injury, when I took it back to be re-inspected (I didnt want to have to pay to get it inspected again) it passed (and took 10 minutes), but they broke my hood latch on my car. That was today and Ive got to go back tomorrow to have them fix it. These people are horrible. This is such a terrible auto place to go to. DO NOT GO HERE. Youre time will be wasted and youll end up getting ripped off and having your time wasted. *Also the I found out that the Volkswagen place would have charged me less than Firestone would have. When has an actual car dealer been cheaper than Firestone? NEVER.

I am certified automotive technician and I have been an NC inspector for 17 yrs. I went to Firestone to get my inspection, because I am currently in the process of starting my own business and I thought they were reputable because I have known people that have worked their for years. They failed my inspection for bogus reasons. They told me that my wipers were torn; when I had just drove through heavy rain and they cleared the rain perfectly, a little worn, but according to NC State they were fine and should have passed. Failed steering due to tie rod boot torn, and the power steering belt was bad. This was also untrue. Also told that the tires failed. Which is a lie the tires are brand new. The best part about the tie rod boot is that when I got home and lifted the car to look at it. I found that the boot was fine but they couldnt tell the difference between a CV axle boot and a tie rod boot, also not a reason to fail. When I saw that the technician was trying to fail my car for the tires I told the service manager that I wanted my car out of their shop right then and there because of the way they were handling my car and the technician doing the inspection had no idea what he was doing, which is surprising because you have to go for training every 2 years for emissions and 4 years for safety. He lied to me and said that once they started that they could not stop. They had not even entered the car into their inspection machine and there is an abort button on the machine to stop an inspection. I explained to them the laws for state inspection in detail and that the tires were new and pointed out the steering rod had some wear but in no way shape or form needed to be replaced. They acted like I had no idea what I was talking about even though I blatantly pointed out their errors. When I asked the service manager for the number to customer service none of the people knew the number or how to find it. Also, as I asked for the number, the service writer laughed. I will never be going back to any Firestone service center. I have documentation/pictures of the "fails" and will be bringing this to the state inspector for the DMV. In an already crooked industry (this is why I am starting my own business, to help change this perception) they are taking advantage of customers and this is highly unethical especially for the average consumer that doesnt know any better.

We were staying with a friend in Wilmington, a 6 hour drive from where we live. On our way back, before we left Wilmington, we discovered we had a nail in a brand new tire (we just replaced our tires 3 months ago and this was our first out of town trip with them). Firestone was the closest place open on a Sunday that could patch a tire, a service which they CLAIM to offer. Before we took the tire in, we had my friends neighbor, who used to be a mechanic, take a look at the tire. He said it could definitely be patched and he tried to help with the patch kit we bought at a gas station, which unfortunately was a piece of crap and didnt work, so hes the one who recommended that we take it somewhere nearby to have it patched professionally. So. We went to Firestone with the tire in question, and they claimed they couldnt patch it simply because we had already tried, no legitimate reason. It was obvious to us that the staff just didnt feel like it. Of course they could sell us a NEW tire for over $70 (even though our tire was perfectly fine, other than the nail). We declined, found the nearest Sears auto center, took our tire there, and they had the tire fixed within an hour for only $20, which we are being reimbursed for from the place we bought the tires from since they were still under warranty. The service at Sears was friendly and prompt, even though they were much busier than Firestone. DO NOT GO TO THIS FIRESTONE LOCATION. Sears is very close and MUCH better service, and the mechanic at Sears is the one who told us to check on the reimbursement once we got back to where we live, so we ended up paying nothing.
