We used Two Men and a Truck in Wilmington NC for our local move two weeks ago and Im very disappointed and frustrated. The estimator came to our house and gave a quote of $1050. He assured us that he was very careful to not underbid a job, and expected the move would cost less than that. We had everything ready to go on the day of the move (all furniture disassembled except our piano), and the move ended up costing $1500 (50% more than the estimate!). On top of the cost, the furniture that they covered with their protective blankets was totally covered in black soot which took hours to vacuum off. I dont know if their blankets are old and disintegrating or what the problem was, but it was a lot of work to clean all the black soot off of the furniture after they left. In addition, there are some dents and black scuff marks in the furniture that wasnt covered. I have tried to call the company several times, but to no avail. I will be moving again in about 8 months, and I will NOT be using this company. Beware of this company!! The picture below is of the black soot that was all over the furniture.

Our "Two Men" experience was superior in all critical dimensions ... Solutions, Professionslism, Execution and Value. SOLUTIONS - They creatively solved our dilemma of getting the possessions in our home of 22 years to two different locations. It was non-standard in a number of ways but they stepped right up with a plan that worked. PROFESSIONALISM - Jay was our HQ contact that got all resources and schedules aligned; John was our lead on the move itself who worked with skill and conscientiousness that Ive rarely witnessed, with the help of Riccardo who was exceptional. EXECUTION - The got a difficult job done on schedule, far exceeding our expectations. Very happy with their work product and overall service level. VALUE - For all that we received, their effort and results, their bid was extremely competitive. They have the team, resources, capacity and approach to replicate excellence. I never used their services but a so-called neighbor of mine did. She was no real neighbor she was just someone that lived above me. One day she and I get into a disagreement and it was her moving day. She has Two Men and a Truck park right next to my car and into the fire lane! One of their doors swung right over the hood of my car! I called to complain. They never moved the truck and if they did it wasnt by much. Later on the so called neighbors boyfriend tried to run over my dog while I was walking her on the property. I pushed her out of the way and I stood in the path of her boyfriends truck to save my dogs life. Next thing I know the movers come up to where we are talking smack and shaking their heads mocking me. The movers had no right to stick their noses into a dispute. They also had no right to try and push me out of the parking space. Their behavior was unprofessional to say the least.

Recently, our nonprofit had the fortunate experience of connecting with the moving team from Two Men and a Truck. Like most nonprofits, our office operates on a small budget and even smaller staff. Because of this, we rely on volunteers whenever we can. So, when we needed some voluntary help to move some heavy furniture, we called around, hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst. Luckily, we didnt have to call far because Two Men and a Truck answered the call, proving that they are truly the "Movers Who Care." Every part of our experience with Two Men and a Truck was exceptional. Their customer service representative (Dan) took excellent care of us as we planned our move, and was even able to help us find some affordable storage options for our furniture. Their movers were quick, friendly, professional, and CAREFUL. We really appreciated the special care they took of our fragile and delicate items. Two Men and a Truck offered exceptional service and care from start to finish. I stored purchased furniture over a 6 month period, shipping items to them gradually as I purchased them. The office staff (Dan) tracked all shipments received, letting me know as items arrived. And then the moving staff brought the contents of my house to our home off the coast of Wilmington, uncrating and assembling a houseful of furniture, beds, and mattresses. Ive never met movers who were more diligent, careful and professional! A great experience all around!! Id use them again in a heartbeat and highly recommend Two Men and a Truck!

Pretty much hands down the best moving company Ive ever had to use. Guys were prompt and very polite (as expected), and went out of their way to do the little things that other moving companies havent done in the past. Of course we priced shopped them to others but ultimately decided to go with Two Men and A Truck because of our comfortable we felt in dealing with them. Two Men handled our residential move when we moved to Wilmington. We were very impressed with the office staff as well as how the movers took pride in packing and handling our belongings with care.
