Service and customer service is terrible. I was trying to rig something up to make a HDMI output from a Blu-ray player to a TV that did not have an HDMI input. I told the salesman about this and he suggested a cable for it. It only cost $10. No big deal. He said that I could bring it back if it didnt work. When I was checking out I saw that there was a 15 day return policy. I told him that I didnt get to Winston-Salem very often and asked if I could bring it back after the 15 days. He said yes. Tried it when I got home and couldnt get it to work. I got video but not audio. Anyway, I found another way to make it work. Finally went to W-S today and was going to take the cable back. They gave me a hard time about it being past the 15 days and I reminded the same salesperson what he said. He then proceeded to take about 15 minutes to test the cable out and see if it worked. After wasting my time for 15 minutes, he said that because that the cable DID WORK, that he would not give a refund. A REFUND BECAUSE IT DID WORK! Really. Is getting the cable back to resale and giving a customer $10 too much? Intrex cares nothing about the customer. I would think giving $10 back would be a lot better to a business than bad reviews and me telling everyone I see not to go there for ANYTHING!

I called and talked to a nice young lady who helped me personally with my PC over the phone. I was so surprised how much she helped me with complicated things which she made simple for me to fix by walking me thru step by step to repair my PC myself. After doing what she walked me thru and further instruction I was able to save a couple hundred dollars in repairs. I was so impressed with this young lady. I asked shouldnt I just bring my PC in to have it fixed? She replied she could take the PC and repair no problem but first try this and see how it goes. I am pretty good with PCs and tried all I knew to repair before calling Intrex. I was so happy to find a honest company willing to help me and not take my money just because they can. I am writing this as a Huge Thank You! All my PC issues I will go to Intrex. They will from now on be the first stop for buying and consultation on PC issues. Thank You for Being a Beautiful Soul and Expressing You Honesty and Intelligence with me in my time of NEED!!! My PC is back Stronger and Quicker than Ever Before!

My laptop adapter died on me this afternoon. Not a huge problem - but considering how many types of adapters are out there, I opted to try Intrex instead of hitting one of the big box stores like Best Buy. I walked in and was immediately greeted by a young guy who quickly helped me pick out a universal adapter that would work with my setup. He even opened it on the spot, and showed me which connection I should use of the different adapters. In 10 minutes I was in, out, and informed on how to best use the product. I got it home, plugged it up, and it worked - just like he said it would. The extra mile - turns out they back their generic and Intrex products with a one year *store* warranty. If it proves to be faulty a couple months down the road, I can take it back to them instead of calling the manufacturer in who-knows-where China. Overall it was a solid experience that made me want to log in to Google and give them a matching positive review.

Very knowledgeable staff that will help you find exactly what you need. HOWEVER, they charge a re-stocking fee--which is fine; most places do. BUT, if you purchase a demo that is out on the floor and is the last one in stock, they will still charge this fee if you return it. This is BS. When we bought the laptop, the demo was the last one that they had in stock. When we purchased it, the box was already open and product out of box on shelf in store front when purchased We were charged fee for a "re-stocking" that doesnt exist. I returned the laptop, and Im sure that they put it back out on the floor and wasnt re-stocked. Since they were jerks about explaining this when I complained, I have to deduct a star. LOVE my new pc, but will shop elsewhere in the future.

I had a problem with a CPU cooling fan on my computer and I called Intrex and spoke with Brandon at their Winston-Salem store. Brandon was very knowledgeable about what I needed and had a part available to correct my situation. I took my computer in and Brandon and Bill both were very friendly and helpful. Brandon fixed my computer on the spot and put in a whole new cooling system for my PC that was much better than the stock cooling that had been put in. I could not have asked for a better experience and I cant say enough good things about Brandon and how much he helped me. He was very knowledgeable, kind and shared a lot of information with me and taught me a lot while I watched him do my repair. I will definitely be using Intrex again in the future!

Ive been in and out of this store on occassion as its local and I have been recommended it on occasion, but the customer service is subpar. Called and spoke to a sales representatives to see if they do custom looping or all in one cpu water cooling and was advised "no." until I asked if they sold the Corsair h100. Once he finally realized they do have the product (and tried to tell me I was wrong in my verbiage when asking about it), I was advised for the h100i v2 they charge $130, which is $23.00 over the amazon and newegg price with no chance of price matching. Overpricing and inexperience seem to be common trends with this store over every visit Ive had.

These are the best guys you can get! I dont know a lot about computers but I am no fool either! After a belittling hostile experience of buying an internal DVD/CD burner at "The Computer Store", I was left without further assistance for a few questions I had to get the thing to work with my system! The Intrex guys, even though I didnt buy this there, walked me through the solution to my problem! It wasnt really rocket science as the other store made it out to be, but it was the key to making this function as it was purchased to do! Sometimes the best things in life are free, like customer appreciation! Thanks to the 3 Johns at Intrex!

I fixed computers for a living, and whenever I needed a quick part for a repair I would drop by Intrex, they have the best price on parts Ive found for a brick and mortar store in Winston Salem. The staff is knowledgeable and I trust their work. I trusted them enough that I brought in my own rig to be built. (I know how to do it, just didnt have the time). They did an excellent job, even did all the cable management down perfectly. I went back afterwards and checked. I made a mistake and tried The Computer Place, and ended up wasting my money and ended up buying the part I actually needed from Intrex.
