DISHONEST HUSTLERS This shop hustles high charges from customers using the following steps: 1. Limit the amount of information they give you, and insist that "they do not know" until you spend a lot of money on labor to find out what the problem is. 2. Once they "find the problem" they insist that you should fix it right away to save money. If you do not fix it on the spot, they charge more labor costs for putting things back the way they were. 3. They will NOT use parts from any other store. They ONLY use parts from THEIR Napa Auto Parts store (parts store is connected to their garage). These parts are more expensive than what you would find at Advanced, ORileys, or Autozone. My part was priced by Jackson @ $69, at Autozone, it was $27. They market this requirement as only installing their "insured" and "warrantied" parts. 4. If you do not let them fix the problem, they will NOT tell you precisely what is wrong and what you need to do to fix it. Even after going through these steps, and paying over $150 to work under my hood and diagnose my problem, I did not let them work on my car. As a result, they did not provide with their knowledge of precisely what the problem is and what I need to do to fix it. They pretended not know saying "it could be A, B, or C, but were really not sure..." Really? I just paid you over $150 to tell me EXACTLY whats wrong, and you dont know?

Jackson Auto Worx provides EXCELLENT SERVICE! It is excellent in EVERY way, they keep us informed and educate us as well as helping us determine the wisest repairs; they are very knowledgeable. Keeping our beloved old 2002 Subaru running (260,000 miles) is a cherished project for us and they have helped us figure out how to do this while keeping a realistic perspective on safety and expense. When we moved to Winston Salem in April 2013 we asked a good friend for a car repair reference. Our friend is a long time customer of Jackson Auto Worx and we will be too. We could not be more satisfied. We really appreciate the ENTIRE STAFF of Jackson Auto Worx and highly recommend them for EXCELLENT, KNOWLEDGEABLE, FRIENDLY, HONEST SERVICE.

Jackson Auto Worx is my go to place to get my car serviced. They offer to work your car into their schedule immediately if youre in a bind and then deliver great work. One of the things I like most is that there is no such thing as a stupid-car-question. They take the time to help you understand what needs to be done, give you a fair deal and an accurate time estimate for when they can complete work on your car. They also take you to work or pick you up to help you out. Youre always greeted with a smile and you know your car will be fixed to their high standards.

Since moving from Milwaukee 25 yrs ago, I have had several different experiences in the auto business in Winston Salem.Having owned a Porsche, a Volvo, and three Explorers I have had my share of ups and downs. Fortunately for me, my Explorers found a "home at Jackson. To say service would be an understatement. To state, a feeling of old customer service" where most of the Staff knows you by name, is par for the course at Jackson. I have NEVER had an issue with timing, quality, or conditions. They ARE my recommended place for American made vehicles.

Yep, they just take your money without fixing anything. Our AC was loosing refrigerant and we already knew where the problem was. Nonetheless, they charged $80 to find the leak, said something about adding a dye to see where the AC fluid was leaking from. Told us to come back next week. We did, they fortunately found the problem but said they couldnt fix it because they didnt have the part in stock. And then they charged us another $60. No work done, a total rip-off. But they were nice, I guess?

I cannot say enough about how wonderful the guys at Jackson are! For instance, last week I took my car in to have the tires rotated and the head light changed. Not only did they do great work on what I brought the car in for they also let me know that something else was broken. I thought something was up but forgot to mention it. Luckily they caught it so now my engine wont fall out. :)

We recently moved from the west coast and we needed a mechanic to look over our 2005 Corolla. We ended up having electrical transmission issues and Jackson Auto Worx was able to resolve our problems. Jackson Auto Worx provided us with a car to use while work was done on our car and we were given a discount on the work done. We will go back to Jackson Auto Worx every time!

These guys are the BEST. Scott and Kevin at the front desk are friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. The work is always done on time and typically comes in under the estimate. When I lived in Minnesota, I once drove my car to Winston-Salem to have a repair done, because I trust these guys so much. I wont take my car anywhere else!

What can I say? Jackson Auto Worx is AWESOME! A great staff. They are willing to do some diagnostic work, see what the problem is, then give you an estimate of cost before doing anything further. Jackson Auto Worx has worked on my vehicles for years and they will continue do to so for a long time to come.

Trust these guys more than anyone I have ever been to. I go out of my way to make sure I can see them, even driving a car from Raleigh to get it checked out. Very helpful dropping me off to work and tell me exactly what I need to get done without the bull. Highly recommend over any auto shop
