I took my HP desktop to Snowden PC Repair in November, 2015. It did not work at all and I wasnt sure that it could be fixed. Mr. Snowden told me he would look it over. The cost would be $75.00. After a couple days, Mr. Snowden called saying that my computer was ready. When I picked it up, Mr. Snowden said there were some viruses present. He said he cleaned them up, got Windows going again, and removed the video card that he said no longer worked. I got the computer home and realized that I needed that video card since I have an HDMI monitor and the monitor plugged into the video card. I took the computer back to Mr. Snowden and he told me he could get a video card within a couple of days and then install it. After that, I called and visited his shop on a regular basis. The first time I went back to his shop, Mr. Snowden told me he put my computer on the work bench and made repairs to get Windows working. I thought thats what he did at the beginning! On subsequent visits to his shop, I was told that he was having a hard time getting the video card from his supplier. At first, I wasnt concerned about how long the repair was taking since I had another computer to use but then as the weeks went by, I began to suspect that something else was up. Each time I went to his shop, he was very apologetic and told me he would not charge me for the video card. Also, each time I went to his shop he would ask me for my contact information since he had "misplaced my paperwork." At one point he told me he was going to Micro Center later that day where he would be getting a video card and that he would have the computer ready the next day. When I stopped at the shop a few days later with my boyfriend, Mr. Snowden stated that all the video cards at Micro Center were too expensive and that he would try to get the video card from his supplier. Finally, on January 25th, my boyfriend stopped at Snowden PC Repair and learned that my computer was finished and had been for a couple of days. I had not been contacted. My computer had been at Snowden PC Repair for over TWO months! On January 27th I plugged in the computer. Problems were present almost immediately. The mouse stopped working after a few minutes and the keyboard wouldnt work at all. After the computer updated, it froze as it was reconfiguring. Since I was no longer confident in Mr. Snowdens ability to repair my computer, I went to another computer repair business today (January 28th.) Upon initial examination of my computer, this computer professional showed me that a LAPTOP hard-drive had been hooked up and secured with a piece of velcro on the bottom of my computer! In addition, I believe this hard-drive was used since it had a 2011 date on it. The repairman I saw today also removed the video card. Since I only ran the computer for an hour AT THE MOST after it was picked up, he suggested that the video card was also used based on the amount of dust on the fan on the bottom of the card. Based on the length of time he kept my computer and the way he attempted to repair my computer (as evidenced by what I observed when the computer was opened up at the other repair shop today), I would suggest that people go ANYWHERE but to Snowden PC Repair.

Dont waste your money, take your computer to someone who actually knows what they are doing. Brad talks the talk but when it comes to doing the work it is shady and he doesnt back anything. First we had our screen replaced, it took him 2 months to find the hinges because not even hp could give him the correct part numbers. We came to find out he worked in his moms house, when she came out to tell us how she can speak to cats. Finally he says he got the correct hinges, which not even 2 months later broke our entire screen, which he says is our problem and we can buy a new screen. He is one of these guys that claim they tell you things that he doesnt, then rigs your computer for payment & wants to charge you more to fix it, again. He also removed the viruses on my parents computer, which made it worse and they had to take it elsewhere to get it fixed correctly. His response is that we can bring it in for another quote. Not hardly, he broke more than he fixed. To top it off, our computer stopped holding charge when we got it back. The battery has an X written on it in permanent marker. Im sure thats a matter of coincidence too. Horrible experiences, with horrible results.

Yeah, the guy with the complaint, AJ brought me a laptop nearly obliterated, he didnt want to purchase all the necessary replacement parts for his laptop, now hes upset because months later, the hinges have come apart from the plastic mounts he opted not to replace. Even after telling them I would see if it could be salvaged if they would bring it in, twice, he opted to wait and then complain about it later. Horrible customer! Fair warning to other shops! He also accused me of stealing his laptop battery, which is worth about $15.. dude, why would I want your crappy used battery? I have boxes and boxes of them. Get a life.

Brad has worked on several computers of mine over time. I have always been happy with the work and the fact he will tell you if something is worth putting money into. He is certified in many fields including Mac. I recommend him to work on any device you may have and feel confident you wont be ripped off.
