Took my car in for an oil change a few weekends ago, asked the mechanic if they could run the code on a new engine light while they were at it. The guy tried to upsell me on some hundred dollar full diagnostic package and when I said no his reply was "well Im not going to run the code because the code isnt going to tell you anything. If you want the code read you can go to AutoZone." Now Im not a mechanic but Im pretty sure engine codes were specifically designed to point the mechanic in the right direction. That being said I left it for my oil change, and several hours later another mechanic there told me that my air filter was dirty and I needed a new one, only twenty bucks and no added labor fees! What a steal! (Filters are incredibly quick fixes for those of you who dont know so for him to mention he wouldnt charge added labor was kind of funny). So I agree to this and go to pick my car up shortly afterwards. The price was nearly seventy dollars after their oil change coupon and on my work order the first mechanic had scraped out the original notes for the executive level diagnostic package he tried to sell me on and had written in big letters Do not perform any diagnostic services what so ever. So congratulations Carlisle auto and tire, your prices and rude, pushy mechanic have actually made me bitter enough to write this and have successfully motivated me to quit being lazy and find time to do my own minor mechanical work like I used to.

My family and I have been bring our vehicles here for years. They always give us fair quotes, and its usually 60-100 dollars cheaper than the dealerships. Wish I could give them 1o stars!
