Worst post office ever!!!! Always have the most terrible time there but decided this time Id arrive early and hopefully get out of there in under an hour (because thats the average time youre normally there). My mother and I walk in with two very large boxes and we are struggling to carry them (Im 32 weeks pregnant and my mom has arthritis) and we walk in thanking god we are the only customers in there. I address the boxes and we stand there and wait while three employees stand and talk to one another without ever looking up from the desk or even saying hello to us. I go to ask one a question and she says she isnt available...really I thought you were at your place of work? I literally wanted to ask to make sure I was putting the correct label on the box, Im sorry to have disturbed you. Finally another customer walks in and then another and then another and then about 5 minutes later one of the clerks mumbles she is ready. My mother and I let the women behind us go first since she is only getting stamps and then its our turn (finally). When I get up to the counter I put both boxes on the counter and the lady never looks up but tells me I need to lift the boxes and put them on her scale. I have NEVER been asked to do this before at any other post office. Im not really sure what their job is because they literally make you do all the work. Thinking ahead I tell her the dimensions of the box are at the top and she literally rolls her eyes and signs because she cant see the top of the box. Well I am so sorry to have inconvenienced you by providing the measurements...then somehow the packages we are shipping which we have shipped the same at other post offices were literally double in price here. When we questioned it of course they get all defensive. Then out of frustration the clerk pushes the first box towards me which pushes the other box behind it right at me, I quickly move but the box slams on the ground. I waited thinking maybe Id hear a sorry or oh my goodness I didnt see that I apologize are you okay, did the box hurt you? But go figure no human decency instead she mumbles "I didnt see the other box" and doesnt even react. Both my mom and I asked for a manager and of course all the clerks back each other up saying she didnt see both boxes by yet we stood here for 20 minutes right in front of you and even if she didnt see it she didnt even apologize. If I were to act like this at my job Id be fired in an instant. Obviously this is also how they treat people in their personal life as well. Even in preschool they teach kids to say sorry when they make a mistake. Long story short management did nothing except stand there and we got the hell out of there. I just dont understand how people can act like it is such an inconvenience for them to ship your boxes when thats what that establishment is supposed to do. If you dont like your job leave. I would never treat a customer they way they treat everyone who walks in there. Absolutely unacceptable. Next time I would literally drive out of my way to another county/city to deliver anything.

The Beachwood Post Office is unbelievably bad, and other reviewers have summarized it well- the staff is rude, and most unhelpful. There are many apartments in this area, and this post office will not deliver mail to the doorstep, which is Ok. But what is not OK is that the mailman will not leave the boxes in the designated mail area, or with the leasing office, even if the Amazon package clearly states in plain english, "signature confirmation not required" or "Leave if no response". Even this would be OK if I had to collect my package from a post office that showed some signs of efficiency- lines are long, service is awfully slow, and the staff simply dont have any customer service etiquette. There is no separate line for pickup of the packages, and I simply cannot understand why I should have to stand for 30-40 minutes in line to pick up a package that would and should have been delivered to my doorstep, by any decent carrier anywhere else in the world. Any complaint goes to a central processing facility, who have a pre-printed response that endorses the actions of the local post office I have often wondered how, in this day and age of competition, this Post office hasnt been completely driven out of business I have actually stopped buying from Amazon just for this reason........

This post office is painfully slow and equally disrespectful - it took me 40 minutes to mail a package. There were 10 people waiting in line and there was only 1 person working during prime business hours (10:30am). Additional help was paged but nobody came to help. The manager was paged and she refused to show. Then a mail clerk came from the back, looked at the line, and walked away! After paging the manager again, a 2nd person finally came to help and then the manager appeared. She did not care that people were dissatisfied, she defended their utilization (even though 2 open spots remained), and dismissed the collective criticism. I have not seen such unprofessional, ineffective operations in a long time. If you can find a different branch I would take your business elsewhere. I will not be back.

We placed a mail hold and do it the day before we travel to catch problems. Every single time the mail hold did not work, even with contacting the post office and speaking with the carriers. Twice this time. The people we spoke to insisted everything was in place. This has happened FIVE times in a row and now there is a sixth incident. My husband returned home to find the mail in front of our house despite the online system telling us that everything was in place. This is professional incompetence above and unbecoming to the USPS system. I am going to run this up the flagpole and wonder if others have experienced the same problem.

The physical office has sub-par service. I agree with the previous reviews: long wait time, slow service, irritated/disgruntled clerks. These people should be working in the back offices not at the front desk as the customer service first line. HOWEVER, the mail carriers out of this office are WONDERFUL!! We love our carrier - she is so sweet, personable, funny, and kind. She does a great job and is very pleasant. She usually spends a few minutes talking with us, so we look forward to when she comes in. Other carriers who have filled in for her are also friendly and professional.

HORRIBLE customer service reps...15 min plus wait times, and understaffed counter. If I could rate a zero I would. Rude and entitled government employees that are employed soley due to affirmative action. They forget not only do we pay to use their services but they additionally cost taxpayers $18 billion a year. Would be cheaper to close the postal service, use UPS and put these employees on welfare.

If I could give them 0 stars, I most certainly would. They dont deliver up to our apartment like UPS does. Theyre lazy, undependable, and give you an attitude at the front desk. I wish I didnt have to receive Amazon orders through them anymore, especially expedited ones that I pay extra for in order to receive them on time and at my apartment, only to have to pick them up one or two days late!
