If you want a plumber with integrity, I would definitely recommend Frecka Plumbing! I had called them about getting my hot water heater replaced since I had a slow leak. I had called around and they had the lowest estimate and even provided the best water heater option for my well water. But in between scheduling the appointment and them coming out, my husband realized that the water was coming from a clogged pipe in my AC unit which my husband easily cleared. When the Frecka guy came the next day, the water was dried up and he inspected my water heater and let me know that I had the choice to replace a working water heater or just wait until I really needed it. Instead of convincing me that I needed to spend $800+ on unnecessary work or charging me to have them come out, I was able to save my money and didnt owe anything. When my water heater goes I DEFINITELY will be calling them back or for any other work, since integrity and honesty are hard to come by these days!

When Rick Frecka came to give me an estimate on replacing piping underneath my bathtub, he was courteous and professional. He explained everything in great detail, even drawing me a cross-section to illustrate the design of the piping. He inspected all major plumbing areas in the house and left no stone unturned. After getting quotes from several other plumbers, I found his pricing more than fair. When I hired them for the job, Rick came out himself, along with a colleague. They were meticulously clean, and spoke to each other and to me with respect. I highly recommend their services, especially if you live in a home built before 1950; they have extensive knowledge of older plumbing methods from rehabbing houses in the Highland Square neighborhood of Akron. To top off my praise of this company: a week after they finished the job, I received a hand-written thank you card from Rick. Now THAT is how you do business, ladies and gentlemen!

I would never use Frecka again. I had them out to check a leak under my sink. I did not know where it was coming from. They came out and could not find anything. It was a service charge for $140. 60 days later, I notice the same leak, which I know is now the disposal. He (Gary) charges me 189. for a new disposal installation and wont give a break based on the first charge. Basically the guy is rude on the phone. Plenty of plumbers out there....do not go to Frecka.

Highly recommended! I have used Frecka in three homes I own. Jobs they completed for me range from cleaning a clogged drain to the street, to replacing all the water lines in a vandalized home. Rick is thorough in his inspections and estimates. Also have used Frecka to locate a leaking natural gas line to gas service could be restored to a property. Not always the cheapest, but when its done - It is done right.

Third time Ive used Frecka and I call them first. Installed a new valve for a leaky one to the ice maker. Also called the emergency after hours number and he talked me through solving an issue without coming out and no charge. Have been in the store many times as well to get a part or two and theyre very helpful.

I called about a leaky valve on my water heater and instead of coming out and charging me, I was given some advice about how to fix it myself if possible which ended up fixing my problem. Both people I talked to were very friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely be calling again for my next plumbing need!

Dont bother calling Frecka! I called yesterday to get estimates for some work I need done in my house. They called me back today to say they cant even come out until late fall because of all the commercial work they have right now. Apparently they have so much work they dont need my business.
