Walked into the post office at 4:59pm and the long brown haired associate (faith I believe is her name) shouted at me that they are closed). I told her that my package was already labeled and ready to drop off. She said ok you can drop it off outside the doors we havent picked those up yet (because she didnt want to help me). I told her I need a receipt showing that it was scanned. She said they cant do that. I asked why not because I normally get one any other time. She said we close at 5pm maam I cant help you. It was 459 when I walked in there with a package that was already ready. I would understand if I came in last minute with something that still needed prepared. I called and talked with the post master who said this never should have happened and that this isnt the first complaint. He assured me he would take care of the customer service issue, but I still feel that this should be noted in case anyone else runs into the same issue. I understand we all would like to leave our shifts and get out on time, but sometimes that doesnt happen. My package was completely ready to go and all they had to do was scan it and hand me a receipt. My friend works at the p o at my home location and told me this was a 30 second task. This is the worst display of customer service from a government business I have ever seen. Im a manager of 3 other businesses and I would expect so much more from a professional business such as this. There are people who would kill to have this sort of position and its sad to see someone display this type of behavior in this town. Word of mouth goes a very long way!

Worst post office I have ever had to deal with. They have misplaced two packages since I moved into my home here in Delaware 8 months ago. I get others peoples mail all the time and they apparently get mine. I had to call four times to actually speak to a supervisor. They told me the third time a supervisor would follow up with this issue and call me and no one did. The fourth time I asked to speak directly to the supervisor and I said that he didnt call me back and he said it was because they couldnt locate the package and I just need to go on their website and file a claim. They dont care at this post office at all. Avoid sending packages through the mail and just use FedEx or UPS if you want stuff to actually arrive correctly.

I have lived in Westerville, New Albany, Alexandria, Canal Winchester, Cleveland, and now Delaware. I have never encountered a village or city post office that misplaced mail or packages as often as Delaware does. Ive only lived here 14 months and over 6 packages went missing or misplaced. I continuously receive other peoples mail at least once a month, heaven forbid they loose mine instead. Only plus side is the office is nice and helpful when you walk in for stamps or to mail a package. The delivery side however is a huge letdown. Sad that five other city post offices do not seem to make these many mistakes as this one.

I LOVE our post office. The staff at this post office is absolutely wonderful, Ive been to lots of POs, and none even come close. People working the front are calm, kind, respectful, and funny, even when I drag in lots of boxes to mail. The time to get in and out is usually short. If there are lines, the waiting customers are reliably friendly, letting people with just one thing going ahead, and generally being congenial. There is a mailing station that you can use for midsize packages and priority mail that is open 24 hours.

Worst customer service I have ever encountered. My package was lost by the postal service, I called on three different occasions to try to recover it and got absolutely no help. The first person I spoke to literally told me "I dont know what to tell you" prior to even getting my tracking number to attempt to find it. I spoke to 2 other people after her, all promised me phone calls that I never received. Apparently $75 worth of merchandise isnt even worth an apology to them. I will NEVER use this post office again.
