This storage location was bought by a company about a year ago. Since then, they have RAISED storage fees about every 6 months. The new owners also come up with creative fees, like additional insurance. I checked with my homeowners insurance and they(my policy) cover the contents of my storage unit. Still I just received another email outlining a "New Safeguard Plan" that everyone will be enrolled in. Of course, this will increase my monthly fee. This company lures you in with a "Free First Month" offer, then increases the fee randomly. I recommend you AVOID this storage location and pick either Car-Go Storage on Hamilton St (3.4 miles from this location) or Life Storage, on E Broad St (2.2 miles from this location). Both locations have better rates, secure facilities and better business practices that do not involve raising monthly storage fees randomly.

My experience at Security Self Storage in Gahanna was one of the best customer experiences I have ever had, thanks to Joanna Reeb. I came in close to closing time one evening and she did not hesitate at all to help me through the entire process, causing her to stay late. She even took extra time to walk me out to the unit to approve the size. She was friendly, warm, helpful, and accommodating. I could go on and on about everything Joanna did that was above and beyond what I ever expected. I will recommend Security Self Storage to absolutely everyone.

Great experience! I was helping a single mother with several children that had to move very quickly. Manager, Bryan Reeb, patiently and professional set me up on my lunch hour. Then, I had to call him later when key broke off in the lock (oops!). He never complained but came over quickly and even helped carry in some boxes late at night. His patience helped reduce my high stress level in this difficult situation. I would use services at Security Self Storage if I ever need in the future.

During our use of this storage place everything we owned was destroyed by mice. Mouse poop and urine was all over our furniture, mattresses and inside of every box. Also most of our cloth items had chew marks and holes in them. Renters insurance covered nothing because the damage was caused by rodents and the storage facility has no liability to loss of your belongings. I would beware!

Andrew was very accommodating and very helpful. I have an extremely difficult and emotional move, but Andrew reassured me that all of my concerns were handled and made very simple. He helped me with the proper supplies that I would need and he was so gracious and understanding with how emotional I was. Moving is very hard and this is the place you want to store your belongings.

* This is the CLEANEST storage unit facility I have ever encountered. * SUPER flexible when I needed to change units -- I was not even close when I tried to estimate the size I would need! * Andrew, the Property Manager, was helpful & patient, even when I needed him to explain the first months rent & fees several times! This rental could not have been a better experience!

The facility was well lit and in great condition. Minor complaint being that the key pad to exit the facility sits too far back between the concrete pillars making it nearly impossible to exit without opening your car door to enter the exit code. Outside of that minor annoyance this facility is great! Your units are safe and the staff is very friendly.

My company does business here and I am always in and out grabbing supplies for work. The staff here does a really good job coordinating with my team on getting into the unit and being flexible. Its a very clean and secure facility as well which makes it easy to get in and out quickly.

The manager dropped some promotional material to my rental office. I distributed to my residents that were moving in or moving out . So far 2 people have told me they went there and the manager Andrew was great and helpful and the facility was very clean.

I have rented from here for two years without an issue and a new manager came in Sheila McCarran and she is trying to steal units for auction...I suggest any other place ...I have never been treated so badly...Please do yourself a favor a go somewhere else.
